Are you planning to make a game thread for "Wings of Empire"?
Yeah. I'll make one, probably once Act II is done. The next big milestone is Steam Nextfest in October.

Almost done rewriting the gunrange minigame, after which I can get started on the Amber and Arya sex scenes (they're ~50% rendered, but need to finish writing them).

I generally dislike minigames in visual novels, but yours have been well-implemented so far. As long as it's not some type of twitch shooter, I'm curious to see what you came up with for the gun range (my old eyes can't keep up with most real-time games anymore).

So far there's a tacmap combat (inspired by the Xwings boardgame), and a space based racing minigame, and an updated version of the shooting range from Morningstar. The tacmap and spacebased racing game are both turnbased; the shooting range is twitch, but they're all optional (you'll get a "do you want to do this, or skip ahead" option where it happens).

Ever since the days of Making Movies, buying outfits have been a staple in my games. Problematically, Wings of Empire doesn't have the concept of 'money' as such; it's just assumed MC has enough cash for the things he wants, and you focus more on expanding your core stats + piloting, rather than grinding for drinks money.

I ended up getting the Quartermaster to help; MC will need to convince her to make the spicy outfits using his charm and wit.

To display the outfits I once again enlisted Kath, who was a fashion model in Love of Magic and Morningstar (she's the only character that's getting used), though this time as an AI construct. I'm quite happy with how this ended up, and I'll likely use the same system next time.

Apart from that, Act II is now content complete (unless Astrid convinces me to finish her side-quest event featuring that maid outfit). I'll be handing out Steam keys to Patreons either tomorrow or Monday, and it should show up here at some point as well.

It's now official, the real M.V.P. is Kath's agent who found her jobs in three different universes, it definitely takes talent.

Last time I was fortunate enough that some awesome volunteers made a Wiki for Love of Magic and Morningstar; this time I figured I might as well prep the first pass myself, help make life easier for them (and uploading a bunch of assets to kick things off).

I'm terrible about writing technical documentation in general, so... Gods know if I will keep it maintained :)

With Act II about done I figured people could do with help for finding all the various side-content.

And with that, Act II's release candidate is done, and Steam Keys will start going out. I did a small free project update notice on and .

I did a full playthrough today; 38 days of main timeline, and another ~30 days of side content. I also didn't even see 1/4 of the training montage images :D

Once I'm happy it's working properly I'll update the game screen properly; in the meanwhile if you want to check it out, I give steam keys to all supporters on both SS and Patreon (or you can play it on the Development Beta Branch of Morningstar).

I love concept of Roman Empire never fall, Legio aeterna victrix!
I like how in dialogue they come with roman ranks, systems and organisation, but in the same time I think there is lack of something. I know it is science fiction, but it would be nice to see characters dressed in togas or classic legionare armor, maybe for more diplomatic purpose or some kind of traditional uniform, to show it is come from Rome. Also, I hope we will see some ancient architecture, combined with modern technology.
I wish you good luck with your game.

Valeria, the primary LI, does wear a toga-inspired outfit.

The space armor set I'm using is also inspired by roman Lorica segmentata. Having said that, very little of the game takes place in civilian places or downstairs. It's center is very much the space opera part.

A few inputs and queries.
1. Are we going Star Wars route or Star Trek route,(Human power or normal)?
2. Time travel is cool and I hope it won't break coherency.
About inputs,
1. Can you please tone down the lighting harshness? I don't know if it's unreal Engine related or not but both the models face is blown out, the white dressed one is entirely blown out(overexpose),the color isn't right either, too much yellowish. Overall it feels like taken by early 2000s digital low res camera.
I haven't played this one yet but seeing this I don't think much has changed since Morningstar, even though Morningstar was a downgrade storywise but was a huge step-up render and animation wise. I hope this one keeps the visual improvement. Your models are already very detailed(too much detailed in my personal opinion), so, details has never been your weakness but lighting is. Try to figure something out if you can to improve harsh lighting and yellowing.

I've completed 2.0 and did not find any way to get to the shooting range. It appeared but there was no one ever in it. Is this a choice issue? a bug? ....or just unfinished at this point?

There's nobody there, but you can play with the shooting game, and eventually invite some girls over (that part isn't written yet). Go to the range, and if you mouse-over the shooting range you'll see you get the option to practice.
