Does the latest version available here not say it was updated August of last year? According to Borsch's post on Patreon, it sounded like they had a new version that patrons had access to, but have blocked access to it because it's not friendly to the latest arbitrary changes to Da Rules.

As dumb as it sounds, that is when the last update was released. Version 'White Lady's Retreat', 8th August 2023. 9 months ago and no update. Has become a signature of this game's development.

Sorry there is "day" trigger to give help from Jack in the battle against Lucy the vampire. If you reach this limit you will lost. Luckily for you, it`s autosaves system in the game. Try to find some autosaves from your game menu (the "load" button).

Thank you. I figured out what was wrong. I didnt realize that stuff had been switched around to make the game patreon compliant. My fault for not reading the walkthrough thoroughly.

well technically if someone made a parody of this game, they are not infringing the copyright laws but I think this is to a certain extend, that's why certain mods or derivatives dont qualify for a sue.
but still I guess if someone wants to do something with this ip and not have problems...he will probably need to publish his thing totally complete and without charge anything, so if he get's in problem he just disappear.
he will probably do this for the love of the art more than anything else.

Dunno how one could parody this game, it's already basically a parody of 19th century Russia with some arbitrary steam punk thrown in. Although if it's parodying anything specific, I'm not aware of it; plus, if the work is old enough, it's in the public domain anyways.

Besides, parody is kind of a lazy copyright term. At least in the USA, it's either fair use or it ain't; but either way, it's still copyright infringement. Fair use is just permissible copyright infringement (unlike patents, which doesn't have fair use since it has a very strict time limit.). Like how killing someone in self-defense is still murder, it's just permissible murder. Since the USA is where Patreon is, that's basically what matters (fuck Europe and droits'moral, even if Congress still jammed section 106.5 in to really confuse stuff.).

Patreon isn't the publisher, the closest analogy would probably be producer (since they just take a portion of the money that is transferred). But that's probably semantics. Considering the devs are Russian, they should prolly just drop Patreon entirely, but clearly can't find a preferable alternative... or just finally admit they're full of shit!

I had other games in mind, also big A titles in general, but I get you. As for the WHT team, I could not care less. They have a genuinely good project running and manage to crap it. Best they could do is coop + collab, seems they are too stupid to do that. Must be mentality thing or it's in the genes, what do I know. *sigh*

I'm not saying that this team is good at developing content quickly as it should, but it's not entirely their fault. It seems that Patreon is really cracking down on what content is allowed on their service for some reason. It really makes little sense other than some kind of witch hunt against people who like what is considered sexually deviant art that is said to potentially influence people to do bad things to real life people. There may be some truth to this, but I think it's up to people to be responsible for their real life actions. Not to remove certain types of art because of what is hypothetical ideas in most cases. It's really just people forcing their opinions of right and wrong on others. Mostly for power reasons. To make the world a better place is simply a mask for them to wear.

It's not a witch hunt, it's a money hunt. Patreon is cracking down 'cuz money. Whether to save money or make more, couldn't say. The only real question is why now? The most likely candidate is probably a legality reason (something related to why you can't stream Pornhub in certain states now and Patreon doesn't wanna spend more money doing age verification), or financial (payment processors refusing service, the same excuse OnlyFans tried to use a few years ago). Patreon shareholders couldn't care less about what they are "producing" so long as it's adequately profitable...

It's probably more the financial reason of increased requirements by payment processors than further age verification requirements. However, the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Also, some of the explanations/examples are kinda nonsensical. Take the bestiality examples. So mythical dragon and dinosaur sex with humans is OK (Jurassex Park game anyone?), but not komodo dragon sex. Or incest. Inter-family incest, big no-no unless it's not the really point of the story, maybe? The example is Game on Thrones, where not only does incest exists, but is kinda frequent. But that's OK, since it doesn't look modern, I guess. Like seriously, how does Patreon measure gratuitousness?

hey, question, what's the news on the devs on this one? I really like it but I was wondering if any progress happened to avoid the vampire (lucy I think? was her name) bad end and the mermaid fucking jack bad end.

been a long while since I played it but I recall those two, cuz both felt like jack did get tricked heavily, be it from the mermaid in the "I can switch genitals at will" and by us in the vampire bad ending (that one actually hurt)

all the good to the devs, just wanted a summary if possible if either of those are now avoided and if new content is there
