no clear instructions. you can spend several hours not getting anything done and not knowing what the f you are supposed to do, resources drop faster than you can clap your hands, and you have no idea how to find the things that are vital ´, like take the replicator, nothing tells you that's something you must ressearch and then build before you can get ANY food so moral ends up bellow 10 before you can even do anything. not to mention the huuuuuuuuuuuuge boner killer this game is. i play games from here at night from 00:00-05:00 my ''jerk off'' time of the day and only time of the day, and i have already gone several night, where i had to shut down the game and actually put on real porn just to go to sleep

This game fails in almost every single way possible. I first tried it a couple versions after it came out and found it clunky and broken and now years later I find it hasn't fixed its core issues. This game appears to want to me a map game, but fails in every way.

In this game you are given control of a facility and are supposed to gather supplies, research, build, craft, mange resources, and build relationships with the girls which is a very novel idea compared to what has been done before, but oh boy it fails.
You have three levels in your base and the game wants you to run and forth constancy to click on things to open the other doors and then open more doors and compartments. Fucking scrap this it is a waste of time and hurts the core gameplay loop of managing the base. If you want to unlock rooms put it into research and building.

Now the meat of the game is the work and exploration which also fails.
You have to research, craft, and then finally build to unlock an upgrade. You do this by scavenging and assigning people to the various jobs. This all sounds good and dandy put the menus and lack of information kills it.
You have to go through so many menus to accomplish one thing and the information given to you is terrible. You are not told what 150 time means, what upgrades do, or that more upgrades unlock how many days past.
Thank god at least common sense can get you an idea of what each upgrade does.
The final and most annoying part of the gameplay is how long it takes to accomplish anything. It is a complete and utter slog.
If you really want to improve this game make the world map your main screen, change the various materials into bulk concepts like electronics, fuel, metal, plastics, fabric. Rework the time schedule so people don't have the chance not to do anything. Give you a main top bar on the screen like a paradox game and make the entire gameplay more intuitive and engaging for the player.

Final things I guess are bugs and the English.
English is weird and it's clear that English is not their first language , but it's bearable.
The game is clearly not coded right, because the save system is super busted.
Saving seems to only save variables and not an actual game state or something, because when you load a game it does not put you back to where you were as it will keep the menus you were in and location on the map.
I used this to an advantage as you could save then move across the map fore no time cost if you load the game right before you hit a destination or if going really far away just keep loading back the game.

I don't want to hate this game, because it is trying to be an actual game the problem is that as an actual game it is complete utter garbage in this current state.

The grinding in this game is imposible to tolerate. In the first day I was like half hour searching for a room, because is not clear where it was. The second day I have to open the bio center, an hour has passed and I can't open it, because the questlog is a joke. I think I did everything and I'm stuck, I can't find Ai, I can't find the key to open the Bio Center.
The questlog doesn't help at all, it give you hints but they are very vague. So this game is a big "NO", until the game get a better gameplay or a better questlog so you don't have to look for a walkthrough or any external help or waste hours looking for something in all the bunker.

could be a good game, i dunno, it stops responding the moment i hit "confirm" after starting a new game and i have to close it. so i have to one star it because its broken or badly bugged. ill look through this thread and see if i can find a solution, and then maybe i can try it and come back and change my review... im not hopeful

World After War is another one of those porn games that asks players that all-important question: can you enjoy gameplay in your porn games? Because if the answer is no, this ain't for you. Like, at all.
That being said, if you can enjoy gameplay in your porn games, this is definitely one of the most unique porn games I've seen so far. The closest comparison I have is Hearts of Iron (the Fallout NV mod specifically). Once you get out of the main base, it's essentially an RTS where you spend your time exploring the wasteland, gathering resources, improving your technology, and seducing a bunch of ladies. Nothing is perfect, and it's all a little janky in its own way, but it's actually quite fun once you get into it, or at least it was for me, and there's a surprising amount of depth to the tech tree and world map and base system compared to most porn games that try something like this. Those gameplay systems are not at all an afterthought.
The story is very...anime. For better or for worse. But since I already like RTS/resource management games, that didn't really bother me. Porn-wise, it's pretty middle of the road. The game does have unique graphics, which is a good thing, but they're just okay. But in combination with the robust gameplay elements, I think they actually work quite well.
As a caveat, I'm not a big fan of the base exploration section of the game even after figuring out how it works. Essentially, it's hover-over-stuff-until-it-glows. Not intuitive, not all that fun, very 'find the key so you can find the key so you can find the key...' But once you do figure out how it works, the parts where it's necessary are over pretty quickly.
All told, I'm glad I gave this one another try after first overlooking it. It's big, it's cool, it's very ambitious, and there's just a bunch of ladies to bang that seem aimed to satisfy a pretty wide array of fetishes.
Overall rating: 4 stars. With more polish, it could earn an extra half-star or full star with me, but right now there's enough jank in this otherwise rad game that I can't endorse it as fully as I might otherwise want to.

Honestly, would be a 4 star if it wasn't for the interface and intro that made me want to uninstall the games for a constant 20 minutes before getting through it. The intro serves pretty much no purpose, and everything you learn from it is 100% useless during the rest of the game. Feels like a horribly put together game you have to play before getting into the second one.

The sandbox loop after the intro is great. Difficulty is just about right, and the gameplay mechanics are so too, but the interface is dragging this down from a much higher rating. It's unclear what you have to do, there are 20 different menus you need to be constantly watching, and worst of all, there is no top bar to keep track of everything. I propose adding something like:
<Water drop>: 69/200 (+42), to easily indicate current level, capacity and daily change, for each of the vital resources. The crafting system is clunky and you have no way to enqueue a thing and all its components. If you do want to keep the scraps, please make an option to automatically craft all of them. There are way too many rooms, and the base map is much more complicated than it needs to be.

Also, doesn't work well on linux under wine because many of the image paths have incorrect casing in the code compared to in the files, to many of them fail to load.

    World After War [v0.48] review

    - Pre-game impression
The first bad thing I noticed is that the UX is pretty clunky.
You can't just press ESC or click outside of dialog windows to close them - no, you have to manually click an exit button.
I also noticed options like Borderless Windowed / Fullscreen / Window are all named incorrectly and the settings are not reapplied when relaunching the game.

    - First ingame impressions and story
The first minute isn't so bad and has decent writing.
However the dialogue must be clicked directly to advance the scene.
You can't click anywhere on the screen and you can't go back to previous dialogue (like you can in Ren'Py).
I also have a distracting 1-pixel-wide bright border (background from previous scenes) in all current scenes.

Shortly afterwards the main character is being woken up by a girl.
She explains to him that there was a nuclear holocaust and he's in a bunker with 6 other girls (5 still in cryostasis) and then sucks his dick to analyze his cum for radiation.
Needless to say the writing isn't very good - it sounds very unnatural (not how humans talk) and doesn't fit the situation they're in at all.

    - First gameplay impressions
After the initial dialogue the fetch quests begin...
They basically boil down to removing fuses and cables from working doors to open non-working doors and hoping to find missing keycards and other things (not fun).
And while the quest log always explains what you have to do - it often is very poorly explained and written in broken english.
As a result I had to search the game's forum thread twice for solutions in the first half an hour of gameplay.
Then after finishing the fetch quests I finally got to leave the base to gather resources...

Here on the world map the dreadful UI/UX really began to shine.
Absolutely nothing is explained and I needed minutes to figure out how to even move around and get to places to gather resources.
The resource gathering was simple enough once I was there, but I had no idea who I even sent to collect them or if they were even transported back to the bunker.
Back at the bunker I received a huge moral penalty (when moral is 0 it's game over) because I apparently arrived to late (which I was never warned about).
Here I decided I'll just load a save I did at the start of the day to redo the resource gathering.
I couldn't though, because my safe had been overwritten by the game's autosaves.
That's when I ragequit for the first time.

1 real-life-day later I decided to give it another chance and checked out the work assignment screen for the bunker.
Clicking the work type and then the hour where the work should be done did absolutely nothing 80-90% of the time.
When it did work it randomly assigned the wrong work type I hadn't clicked half of the time.
At this point I was pretty much done with the game and deleted it with no plans to pick it up again.

    - TLDR
Interesting setting with absolutely dreadful UI/UX, poor writing and tedious, unfun gameplay.
I would usually give it 3 stars because I like the setting, but the UI/UX is just so terrible and barely functional I felt like I had to retract a star even if the rest of the game was a masterpiece.

Overall this game is very solid, it kinda had a rough start because everything is new and with all the different mechanics. It's a fun game and the gameplay
itself is really enjoyable as soon as you understand how everything works.

    Pros:
    Has an interesting story.
    Love the characters.
Semi monster girl? non-human girls are amazing.
    Interesting gameplay.

    cons:
The schedule gets kind of messy when you have so many girls later on, especially if you need to have a girl in free time to trigger her scene or quest.
Until I found a room key card by accident in one of the other door rooms, I had no idea where to look for them until then.

This game has a lot of potential. I'm really excited to see what the author is going to do once they finish 1.0 and can start polishing up the game. Some of the models and animations are a tad lackluster here and there, but a lot of the women are really cute.

If anybody is wondering about why their morale is dropping, it's because of two reasons:

    1. You need to set some of your crew to clean. Having a clean base does wonders for morale.
    2. Make sure your people get rest. There's a rested bonus to morale.
    3. If you go over your food or water budget, you automatically consume 0 food. This means you take a huge loss to morale and also anything that went over capacity (once your day's production tabulates) gets thrown out.
    4. Just rush the vehicle, food, and water research and build them ASAP. Those are your main priority. You can go far on very minimal food and water.

Anyway, again, fun little mechanic and I"m excited for all the ideas.

What an awful game. It's a messy convoluted clusterfuck that fails on multiple game design levels. What on earth was the developer thinking when he made this atrocity? You need to take the gameplay back to the drawing board because this game absolutely fails as a porn game.

    Review:
This game always appeared in the latest updates, but I always ignored it, so I decided to test it to see if it is a good game or not, and to my disappointment it is a game that is not worth it. This game looks like it was made in the 90s, with terrible menus, terrible interface and terrible gameplay.
    Gameplay:
Sandbox with point-n-click and puzzle, your character needs to pick up cables and fuses to open the door, in addition to doing the tasks to advance the progression. The gameplay of this game is one of the worst, as I said, it seems to have been done in the 90s. There are many things on the game scene, things you have to keep clicking, this is not bad, but the bad thing is the interface, menu , interaction that are ugly and terrible.
    Graphics & Sexual Content:
The graphics are not so good, the models seem to be from 3D games but the game is not in 3D, as I could describe it, the graphics of the models of the female characters are kind of average but a little below that. These are renderings that did not interest me, and the sexual content I ended up not seeing, because I gave up playing and moved the game to the recycle bin.

Why I did gave 1 star?
Sincerely, it is one of the worst games I have ever played. But is it because of its content? no, it's because of its engine, its gameplay, a delayed style of play, something that does not give much pleasure to play. There are games that are bad because of their sexual content, there are other games that are because of their history. But this one is because of almost everything, the gameplay is not smooth, solid or comfortable, as it seems that we are playing a game from the 90's but very bad. As I can't talk about sexual content because I didn't get there, I prefer not to give an opinion, but a tip I give is never too late to give up and start a new project. Anyway, it's one of the worst games I've ever played and I don't recommend it.

though this game is in early stage of development but have a very huge potential to develop into a good survival game, this game is very similar to Sheltered on steam and i loved it. The story line is good, implementation of survival concept is good, character development needs some improvement and need more sex interactions, multiple girls sex, even lesbian interactions are needed and most of all harem interactions are needed..... Great story so far, the UI needs a bit of work, maybe add a tooltip over the buttons, but it is fairly easy to understand nontheless. Some grammatical and vocabulary errors that can be fixed. The female models are great, the male model.... could use an upgrade (seriously!!!), maybe add a function in the game where we can actually make the change if we go to the gym and exercise. Other than that, it is a pretty solid game that has the chance to be something great.

Crappy menu. Crappy overall design. A frustrating experience. The first game here that actually made me angry at the developer wasting my time. And I played a lot of shitty games- this one is the worst of them. And I really love the setting so this game had a huge bonus. Sorry Bro...

I really wanted to like this game. Renders look great and the premise is good. However, the interface is absolutely horrendous. You're supposed to make something somewhere, but it is not clear where that is. Then, the traveling interface is not nearly intuitive enough. You basically have to click random things to figure out what they do. Every time I've played through this, I get Game Over because I didn't create enough stuff. No game is worth this much effort.

Brilliant premise, good animation and a fair amount of content in game already. Has a few bugs but it is a work is progress. Biggest flaw would be the interface as it's confusing until you get used to it.

    3.5 stars.
    As a game its nice
you need to use your mind to schedule tasks to survive and there is a game over.
    interesting quests.
the UI isnt hostile but its also isnt user friendly. (you need to navigate like 5 menus to assign tasks).
    nice quests log/hint system.

    As a H-game its a bit lacking.
the scenes are annoying to unlock.
some indicators for scenes/girls could be really helpful.
it has decent scenes with animations and decent characters.

I give good rating to games that have my attention when playing them. The research, crafting, and building is a time consumer but I'm a completionist so I find it fun to do. I talk with the developer via Discord whom is very nice and responsive. Has been making upgrades to the game along with adding in scenes to what voters want on his Patreon. I say upgrades as a mean of improving the art. As of now the developer is limited with art capabilities due to his rig setup. All sex scenes are almost pretty much avoidable besides the main story ones. As of now, I have noticed Ai is a fan favorite so most of the current sex scenes are with her at the moment. I like the frequency of the updates and for the others that I've read said that they were too quick can choose to wait monthly or so to play again. Lastly the developer is from Brazil and English is not his native language but has translated pretty well to readable and understandable story.

Bottom Line: The story is there and is improving over time. The developer definitely takes feedback. Art is improving throughout the game and even has redone the beginning days. Lastly, I hope to see it improve even further once he is able to get a better setup.

Nice game, albeit sometimes a bit slow and the language could be better but all in all a valuable attempt and I hope the story lines will grow and the girls will get more scenes with the protagonist. There are still a few irregularities but I'm confident these will be taken care of.

That was a tough call on the rating between 1 or 2 star but I had to go with 1 star.

    The gameplay is split in 2 sections which are opposite to each other;
    1) You have a sandbox system that is only there to pad gameplay. The sandbox gameplay loop isn't bad in itself, but it is completely useless for the purpose of h-scenes, for the most part.

    2) Most scenes are locked behind quests, those quests are triggered by doing very specific things, unless you have a walkthrough in hand, you won't trigger them.

So what happens is that you've got to grind the sandbox gameplay to survive, that's fine, but it leads to little to no sex scene. I initially thought I could unlock sex scenes by setting up a nice base and gifting companions to unlock new scenes, it either isn't working, or requires a ridiculous amount of grind to unlock a scene.

And then you've got the grind of a clicker game where you have to constantly go around and click things at the good times to unlock stuff. So in this game, you do unlock scenes, but you also gotta grind the events to get the scenes.

So you end up with a game that has double the grind, both are separate, and make little to no sense when it comes to the sex.

For instance, you can do a quest where a character will literally suck you off or give you a tit job, but if you ask them to do it, they'll flip you off? Big discontinuity there.

The scenes themselves are basically 3/5, renders are rather low quality, but at least there are animations.

So overall, it's a big waste of time if you're looking for an h-game.
