I'm clocking around 30k words/section/romance path... with 17 romance paths (some are poly, most are single LI) and 4 major sections, 3 small bridge sections, a short prologue and 26 endings (already written) along with a short epilogue.
Very exciting!
So... well more than a novel's worth. Life, as it does, has a way of interfering. I've been lucky to spend 20 minutes/day writing recently, and that time is divided among this project, short stories for submission to magazines
Real life does tend to get in the way. This holiday weekend was a real boon to me. I managed to complete an entire scene. Approximately 4,000 words, 75 renders, coded, integrated, and with music attached. I'm uploading it for play testing as I type. Not bad for five days of solid work.
and the novel which is moving at a glacial speed that would chill GRRM.
Considering his novels are dead, your novel must some how be un-writing itself. You'd actually have to open your files and see less than you wrote when you saved it. That's the only way you can move slower than Martin.
Funny side story though, I was eating popcorn one day at my computer and eventually looked down and realized there was butter and oil on my keyboard. My first thought was actually, "If I just had a couple slivers of chicken skin it'd look like Martin's keyboard."
I generally save all my serious novel work for November though. I accumulate research and resources through the year, save them in scrivener, and then jam it out for Nanowrimo.
So, I will say: when it comes out there will be no official walkthrough (unless there is).
If you'd be kind enough to make an unofficial walk through, that would suffice too.
