The vid packs are needed, but doing pretty fine with no base girls and only downloaded girl packs.

What is your source on that? Afaik that build is still very much WIP with only some patrons kitbashing/playtesting it.
In fact last post on Patreon, almost two weeks ago, seems to be a POLL related to adjustments on that particular build in fact, no signs of a release.

It's actually done (unless you mean 0.48 is working), we are just waiting for a leak or public release (from discord):

So, is there any benefit to downloading WTM Academy over Corrupted Academy. Afaik the latter is just an improved version of this with better coding and mod support.

Still both lack of content, consistency and more. With mods you just get girls and nothing else.
