Taking a high-level view here, this game is overall still fairly enjoyable. There's plenty of sex, most of the models are still reasonably attractive. And at one point, the story was pretty simple and easy to follow (if a bit far-fetched).
Once you look a little closer, it's just a complete mess.
Ignore, for a minute, the complete lack of regular production or release schedule and the constant excuses, missed deadlines, and broken promises. Even without that, this game has completely lost it. It's veered so far into nonsense land that it's hard to even recommend for the girls and sex.
Nonsense is honestly the best word for this game. From some of the plot lines, to some of the activities, and even what has happened to some of the girls.
There seemed to be this early fascination with just sitting down anywhere to have a talk. Middle of a basketball court? Fine. Random hallway in the school? Whatever. Dirty-ass alley next to a dumpster? Great place for a chat. What even is that? These people can't talk for 2 minutes standing up next to each other? Or leaning against a wall?
Time also has no meaning. I swear we are working with 83 hour days here. MC has SO MANY things to do every day that it just makes everything drag on (and makes so much sense when you think about how condensed time ended up being in the first "season").
Even if you pretend that this future hall of fame caliber player is going to attend some no-name nothing of a school to play basketball just because one of his friends got accepted there (instead of any other school that wants this guy to play for them ensuring his friend got in as a requirement for him playing there). The rest of the story, as it is developing now, in the never-ending "betas" of E13, is complete nonsense.
Things have gone from "weird and unlikely but still kind of fun university basketball player harem with no actual basketball" to "unintelligible family dynasty mob sex and drug abuse cult with 34 'connected' motherly figures fighting for control of a random little boy while his collection of horny, obsessed fangirls virtually implode without his physical presence".
So you put all of that together with the physical "changes" to many of the characters, the non-existent development schedule, and any other number of things you could pick out of a hat, and you just end up with a complete mess. Which is unfortunate, because this was one of the first VNs I started playing a number of years ago and it's sad to see what it has become... when the original premise would have been so much easier to continue.
