VN - Ren'Py - WVM [S2 Ch.1 Ep.13 F] [Braindrop]

Based on the vast majority of the rewiews, I probably don't need to re-iterate all of the fundamentals that go into making a great VN, except to say that the dev for WVM has successfully laid out fundamentals that meet the standards of the individual best VNs, meeting or exceeding them individually, perhaps in every category. The (begging of a) narrative is perhaps only beat by veqvil's abandoned project (name escapes me at the moment) just because that story was a pretty ingenious and captivating original sci-fi.

I think the overwhelmingly positive reaction is because the story engages with pretty much every element of male romantic/sexual fantasy, you are
-provider
-protector
-emotional rock
-true leader (build up those around instead of belittle and dominate)
-ladies man
-near demi-god of athletisicm, virility and endowment

Because of this and the behavior of the women towards the MC I've seen some say that this is ridiculous and makes no sense, that a near messiah like character is silly. To that I would agree, but that in context with a harem-based "hero" story I don't think there is any other way to explain a harem without coercion, magic powers or bloodlines.

Excited for new releases, and I really hope that success doesn't encourage the dev to rush anything, as great things take time and I wouldn't want him to burnout with the potential this project has like so many others.

Updating review after playing up to day 4 part 6:

This update added some more conflicts to the story. Some pretty serious ones at that as well. I can't help but feel anxious about them, so clearly, the writing is on point. I hope things are worked out in a realistic way but hopefully a good outcome as well? A lot of games throw in terrible, traumatic events simply for shock value. The day was interesting opening the door to possible threesome soon?? Also, most likely figuring out who the mysterious sister is? Day 4 was great!

As always, I am excited to see more. This definitely is the most promising Ren'Py VN currently being worked on.

I also really have come to love how the angles are shot. It is first person looking at really well done faces of the pretty girls. Doesn't really get better than that.

Unbelievable game and I mean that in the best of ways. The quality is absolutely off the charts. In spite of it understandably short considering how new it is, this easily is in my top 5 vns. I can hardly express how excited I am for this to fully finish.

The story is really well done, honestly every character is done great. From what I have played I have yet to notice many (if any) bugs or errors. The renders are so clean and so real and on top of all that, the characters seem believable. It is so rare for all these boxes to be ticked but somehow the devs have done it thus far.

I can only say that I hope the game continues this quality and as I stated earlier, I have trouble expressing how excited I am to see where this goes. I have played so many work in progress vns and I dare say I am most excited for this one.

Easily would recommend to anyone even remotely interested. The mc seems to be far more than a 1 trick pony and the other characters seem to be realistic and have feelings and aren't just walking sluts.

Makes my lady bits unusually hot. Has some of the best female characters in lewd gaming history. All the best good and wholesome fetishes you could ask for and none of that uncultured shit.

This review has been done when there were only 3 days in the game, it may get outdated quite easily.

In this review you will find spoilers of all 3 days, so you are warned.

The main reason about why I gave it 3 stars is the day 3, the day in which storytelling died, but well before it would be 3 stars and a half.

So, let's talk about the situation, we start the game and we are kind of a successful and handsome guy with a girlfriend and a best friend that can be transgender or female, depending on initial choice.

Until there it's okay, it was something interesting when your best friend did confess to you, how you answer and the whole situation is special. When I saw that scene what I thought about the game was:

1º You can cheat on your girlfriend
2º You may break up with your current girlfriend in the future
3º You can be a good boy and be loyal or expect issues in the future.

Then we start to meet all characters and... all have the hots for you, I mean every. single. one. It was at this moment that I knew... it was a pure harem story.

Even more, there was no consequence to cheating, not at all, I even thought I was an idiot for being a good and loyal guy in this game.

Then suddenly I meet all the male characters in one room, I had a few doubts about it but nothing happened and the rest of the game didn't give me any reason to truly worry about them, at least for now.

One thing I did expect in this game is NTR at some point, we have a new friend who was caught by his girlfriend while cheating with other girl so if you wanna protect your girlfriend I thought "be careful with this guy".

The point at which I was at full bullshit was when the girlfriend tried to get me to seduce other girls and, even more, had that scene in which she told me she was okay with me going out with her and my best friend. I did too runs to see if at least it had any effect, in one I did say yes and no cheating behind her back, in the other I said yes with cheating behind her back... in both she was okay with it.

I like the renders and it's the main reason it's even at 3 stars, but the development has little to no thought. It's just... so difficult to understand how the characters act.

Having said that I was kind of hoping to get a reason to break up with the girlfriend, I don't truly like her so I was feeling kind of forced having to have her as my girlfriend, so I expected at some point that she would get NTR or we would just break naturally. For now with her accepting the MC to have a harem it seems that tiny dream can rest in peace.

Really digging this game. It's got just about anything I could ask for in a simple porn VN. There's no grinding or minigames, which is great. The chicks are hot, but generally realistic looking. My only complaint, which is fairly minor, is that coach Harper and the mom's face sometimes looks a little unnatural. This game knows its goals and achieves them. I couldn't really ask for much more.

First off, the story so far is great. I'm a huge basketball fan... so to include the sport with beautiful girls (depite they can seem cross-eyed, which I am growing to like) automatically grabbed my interest. Can't wait to see where this story can go. Keep up the good work.

Great graphics, characters and decisions. Replayability is somewhat limited (you mostly have two real options in every decision) but the game is still in its early phases so I am confident that'll improve. Really like that it's an actual poly story without cheating (if you want it to be).

Came across this game like a week ago thanks to the featured games slider and played it bit by bit. I'm extremely impressed by this. Braindrop said he is 22 years of age, so we share this in common and it's very inspiring to see someone the same age with an absolutely mad work ethic and having that hard work pay off by such huge support so very quickly. It's inspiring for myself looking to do the same thing soon, so big props to Braindrop right out the gate. Also, love basketball and love the fact that it's a plot point in this game as well, another thing we have in common.

I've played a lot of games that I would consider to be porn games and nothing more. This treads a line between porn game and story-driven game. The sexual content is by no means secondary as there is quite a bit and due to you being an athlete, many girls have a tendency to throw themselves at you, plus there is a side arc where you are basically being paid to fuck women of your choosing. So sex is by no means secondary. It's very much at the forefront, but somehow the story doesn't really trail too far behind either.

The characters are extremely likable, my favorite so far being a cheerleader named Bailey, but it's a hard choice between Shauna, Jamie, Liz, there are a lot of characters here to be very fond of, including the MC, which most games that are directly focused on sex seem to ignore, is the likability of the person you are going to play as.

As of now, this is a lighthearted game that offers no conflict in getting the harem you want, which seems a little easy, but it's a fantasy scenario. Suspend some disbelief and have fun with it. The conflict of this game is all external and has no part in destroying your quest to achieve your harem, so for those fans of the harem genre like myself, breathe easy and have fun with it.

In games, I'm a fan of strong orgasms and lots of passion when it comes to the sex and this game certainly does not disappoint, the ahegao faces during orgasms can be funny and even sometimes a bit weird, but it offers a great visual understanding of the intensity of the female's orgasms. The renders are good, the animations are good, its a very well made game.

My only complaint is the same complaint I have with every other game that has this, and it's the anaconda dick. I don't mind the dicktator prop, but it looks very ugly when left unedited. I feel it's too late to change now, but too many games just leave the MC with a whole bicep between his legs and that tends to take me out of the immersion quite a bit. The only reason it doesn't, in this case, is that everything else has hooked me well enough to continue to enjoy it despite the huge dick.

Another small nitpick is that the backstories of the MC, Shauna and Jamie can be a little cheesy, but it's something you can live with. It sort of feels kinda dumped into the scene. The placement doesn't feel natural and again it feels very cheesy like it goes out of its way to paint the MC as a great person, almost like a direct message to the players like "Hey, I hear the criticism of the MCs of many other games! Look! This MC isn't an insufferable perverted prick like the rest! He's a great guy!" but again, it's something you can live with once you get passed it. That's just a nitpick though, just something I noticed as I read through it. Point is, the MC isn't insufferable, and I appreciate that.

4/5 for me. The dick is too big and the dialogue can sometimes feel pandering to the demographic that criticizes the bad things of other porn games, but it makes up for those things by being incredibly ambitious, incredibly fun, incredibly likable, and being a great overall experience so far. I'm hooked and I'm looking forward to seeing so much more! Good luck Braindrop!

I love this game one of the few games that add a shemale love interest. The females in this game is very beautiful. And the story is great you cannot go wrong with this game. There needs to be more games that have a open mind on love and sex and open relationships.

It's really solid, great renders and overall, the writing is some of the best I've seen with very minimal typos. However, the only thing keeping this game from being 5 stars for me is the lack of any real conflict. If you're into a more "sweet" story where you can fuck any girl in the game with no consequences, then this is for you. But for me, I like a little more substance to it. I was really enjoying the game up until a certain part in Day 3 when Overall though, the game is solid, and it probably comes down to whether you like a more straightforward "fuck fest" where every girl throws themselves at you with minimal consequence, or a story with choices that have real consequences. For me, I prefer the latter and the game is closer to 3 stars (personally).

I'm, first off all, surprised by quality and the maturity writing. This is really made by a guy having only 22 years old?

Is the principal reason why i'm impressed by this story.

I suggest strongly to play the character of Shauna as transgender. If not, you miss a lot of dramatic event in the story. Is not the same feeling if the point of view as from woman or transgender woman.

This is a big part of the reasons why i'm going to her Patreon to give i'm a small 5$ to say tank you. He deserve the five stars i give it.

One of the best new games I've picked up recently. Amazing 5 outta 5 for sure keep up the good work. I like that even as a harem type it differentiates itself from other of the genre, the characters are instantly loveable and the girls are beautiful. Can't wait to see where this will go!

We should really support dev, the whole harem team is definitivelly not my top 10 (i would like to choice just one) but this game is really something, good story great girl design, some of them are truly amazing and the story flows really good.
