I don't understand the mini games that require you to use the WASD keys. No matter which key I hit the bar drops down rapidly. What is the technique you're suppose to use for those types of games?

How do get to show up in the first place
Go to the bar of the Club, you should see a 'back room' button that takes you to a hallway, go forward, then go left and it should say something like 'You see a open door' or something like that. That's how you get to the "MACHINE" for a possible cash windfall if you answer all three questions correctly.

Which mini-game are we taking about? Of the two older ones, one is easy to get good with some practice and the other is not a win every time you play but its better then the roll.

You can use WASD? I just use the arrow keys.

On normal difficulty, play slowly. Press the correct button just once when the bar drops, then wait for the next time.
Most of them are timed - if you draw them out, you get more experience. On normal it's about 52 seconds for max xp.
The gym game is the one scene that seems to be only combo based. Draw it out to 37 for max xp.
Or finish them sooner if you're not powergaming, but there's no need to rush.
On hardcore, you need to play a lot faster, but why play hardcore unless you're farming xp anyways.

The other game is just right & left buttons. Match the rhythm of the game. Play slow if the bar moves slow, play fast if the bar moves fast. Keep the bar in the middle.

When making a cold call and getting an opportunity to do a demo and when I took a demo from the board. Also, when having sex it would be a choice iirc. The second I hit one of the keys the bar drops down and I fail. So, I usually would use the probability choice instead of the mini-game, but the RNG is terrible, I rarely pass those especially when trying to make a sale

So, when the game starts don't do anything until the bar drops then hit the arrow key. If you're only hitting the arrow once when the bar drops does the arrow key move the bar further to the right than it drops because isn't the objective to move it all the way to the right? When I start a game I don't see a difficulty choice, no normal or hardcore.

Hardcore is in game settings.
And yes. Play slowly, because if you don't mess up your combo, the amount you move with each keypress gets up to a maximum of 10x (at combo 36). As the game drags on, you'll find yourself winning easily. So much so that in order to even get to a 36 combo you have to deliberately waste time.
That's why you play slowly, by increasing your multiplier safely, you'll end up winning faster than trying to rush there, if you occasionally miss buttons and end up with a low multiplier.

They don't, but sometimes brand new ones don't "take."
I recommend saving the game when one pops, loading the save, then saving again.
Restart the game and start new game, see if the achievement is still there.

how do you save in the new format? i started a new game because some the mods i downloaded started glitching the bar 100% out; even went as far as adding the mods back one at a time to try to figure out which were causing the problem. i realy like this character and dont

In most locations you can hit the plan button on the right side. Then there's a save games button, wherein you can manage your saves.

If the location has a Restroom (your job, the dance club), then you can save. Most of my saves happen in the morning, since that's what I'm use to (early player).

What would be the difference between starting as a loser or averange?
loser begins with even lower attributes, which means a higher exp% but more difficult minigames and such. also i think its just like the nerd archetype which makes it so that you cant directly talk to girls at the bar as a guy without having some drinks first
