This is on today's hotfix I assume? I'll look into it... if you see it again could you press F12, it should say in the browser what the missing track is, will help patching it

there's one thing i hope the dev improves upon is more variety to the sex scenes, for exemple if you play one character, the scenes you get in the bar are the same ones you get in the gym, the beach and the mall. it breaks immersion that when you have sex in the sauna or a public restroom but you watch a scene of someone fucking in a living room... i hope the dev keeps the context in mind and tries to choose the scenes accordingly. i'm sure there's millions of public porn videos out there so it shouldn't be too hard

A lot of videos and audio (6000+ media files) is the short answer. And they're all edited and compressed too... if 4gb is too much for you there's always the online version. The game relies heavily on variety of media to make things feel fresh, if that's not your jam, no worries.

new player here. First things first, amazing game! Love the style the concept and the execution.
Second: I know that we already have 10 MCs, but is there a plan to add more later on? Leana Lovings would be a perfect fit for the game, IMO. If not as a MC, as a side character in general.
Third: any chance of getting romantic relationships added in the future? I mean, we have 4 named beauties at the bar that we can ask for their numbers, any odds that there are going to be named males on the bar so the MC could do the same while female?

Hi, yes! There is going to be a relationship system added in 0.17. 0.17 will be heavily focused on items necessary to put a feeling of progression in the game.
There will be some recurring characters that are possible love interests - you may have heard Alexia refer to the MC's childhood friend Hollis, he'll be in the game as one of your first interactions when I finally make the intro. Hollis the male version will be played by young Brendan Fraser, maybe his female X-Change version will be played by Leana Lovings, with glasses they look quite similar. There will be 2 romance paths, one where your friend takes X-Change and one where the main character does. Similar with Alexia. And there will be pseudo relationships with the random NPCs and other minor characters. Anyhow my plan is to keep these relationship systems as lightweight as possible and not too intrusive, but there if you want them.

Are you using the September 14 version of the hotfix? Can I just check what browser & OS you are using too? If you press F12 you may see the errors causing this, if you paste them here I can troubleshoot them.
I should turn on the option so that you always have the opportunity to give the demo for bonus extra commission.

i checked and the "missing" track was there, so I suspect it was caused by an imported save from 0.16b before the hotfix
started a new game and everything seems fine (for now)
Yes, in the cheats menu, you can switch on "Skippable Minigames", which will let you auto succeed or auto fail any minigame you want and skip the actual gameplay. Separately there is the stat roll option for those wanting a less cheat-y experience.
Yeah, I did find one more missing audio track in that scene, so I will be releasing one more hotfix soon. But I am working with some other big issues with the updated Harlowe save system that are giving me nightmares. Now Harlowe often stores big variables as indexes to locations in the html - and thus when the html changes, the index references get broken! Horrible for backwards compatibility. However if you do some finagling in the variable definition you can convince Harlowe to store the actual variable data in your save, so that's what I'm trying to get it to do.
We'll see how it works overall, but I expect older saves will not be fully compatible with newer versions of the game, until the next hotfix.
Yeah, probably over the top lol. Often times those timers are set by variables so harder segments get set longer. But I should cap it so players don't get super hyper marathon minigames. Unless that's what they want! Maybe I'll have a global time limit setting.
When I play my own game I'm a bit of a masochist, I like super long, grueling, hard to win minigames. But I shouldn't go and project that onto everyone else
I have now updated the hotfix .html for the game which should fix a lot of the last few bugs with this release.
Unfortunately, XCL saves from before 15 September are not compatible with the hotfix version. This is due to a problematic change in how the Harlowe engine saves variables that I have now implemented a workaround for - but older saves will not work with this newer version and will produce errors. So if you are emotionally attached to your older saves, perhaps wait to upgrade.
