I've a had few times where it seems the game unchecked favourite preferences for most of my clothes, so character would then start walking into work in guys clothes and get turned down until i realised and re-favourited everything

No, you don't need those.
Just get the "full download" and be done with it.
However, I think some of the hosted files are out of date. The latest version is March 21 off the pixeldrain link.

Is it possible to remove the no cheat/console command editing required for achievements? I really see no reason why you put that in, game is there for people to have fun it's already enough that I have horrible luck and have to have a dictionary next to me for the secretary game...

You have two choices.

You can edit or mod the passage that blocks using set.

Or you can use put instead of set.

(set:$var to "something") translates to (put:"something"into $var)

I got caught and just reloaded an old save, I assumed you have to build the relationship stats back to where they were before you get caught, I just couldn't be bothered to actually do that!

I've got no saves before that. I'll be doing a new run eventually but it'll be a bit annoying if it's a one chance and gone thing.

That's too harsh. I quite like that stats and relationships can be hard to recover but rng locking me out of content on a run is meh.
