RPGM - Completed - Yarimon Master: Using Cheats to Fuck 'em All! [v2.15+DLC] [Bosom Studio]

I initially thought this was going to be a typical budget copy of a familiar nintendo game, but I was pleasantly surprised with the story, direction and execution of the entire game.

The rivals are likeable, the development and pacing of the story was sublime. By the time I reached the ending, I was flabbergasted by how remarkable it was. The climax was epic.

My only gripe would be the current translation, as there were times in the dialogue where they'd mess up the genders for some reason. It's not MTL though. EDIT: It's fully translated now.

Solid 8.5/10. I intend to buy this game once the English + DLC is fully translated.

The artist is also a popular doujin artist if that's your thing. Be aware there's NTR in the DLC should you get the avoidable bad end. There's also some fetishes that might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they warn you in advance.

Perfectly scratches that monster collecting itch, with tons of h-art to boot. Honestly the porn was a distraction and got slightly annoying with the sheer quantity of it as I wanted to go back to evolving and training my monsters. As of this review I've caught all the available monsters in the base game (I don't know if there are any more available in the currently untranslated dlc). The main cons of the game are definitely in the dialogue but in the readability due to slight mistranslations as well as typesetting issues where text will overlap on the hint screen and some monsters abilities will also trail off the screen. It wasn't enough of an issue for me to deduct any stars though. Story and it's presentation isn't half bad either and I was intrigued and interested in finding out more.

Couldn't decide whether to give this a 4/5 or 5/5. So, consider this a 4.5 out of 5 with the score rounded up.

So, basically this is Pokemon- with sex. Seximon if you will. If you've ever played pokemon, you will have a decent idea of what to expect from the gameplay with a new notable tweaks. Honestly, I found it a lot more enjoyable then the previous game which was also great. Mainly because this felt more fulfilling from a gameplay aspect.

1- You only have to use an item on the creature and defeat it to catch it.
2- You get to fuck the female characters instead of taking their cash.
3- Your main character best buddy creature has a cheat move that one shots the opponents creature and can only be used once per battle.

Outside of those differences, things follow a similar line with you defeating specfied trainers to get into the finals battles. So, why such a high score? Mainly because I can't find much to fault about the game. From a game/porn ratio, it's pretty perfect apart from a few nitpicks.

Pros-

Tons of art- Game doesn't do the usual rpg thing of making you crawl through 3 dungeons, a forest and two bridges just to get some side boob and maybe a blowjob if you're lucky. Nope, you win, you fuck. Each path has a few trainers to fuck and each town has a few scattered too. So, you're never really bored.

Gameplay loop- I enjoyed the pokemon like parts of the game. Honestly, I could have gone deeper into the pokemon comparison. It's fairly easy once you get to higher levels but its never frustrating, keeping you moving at a steady pace.

Variety of ladies- It has a ton of different character types and most of them are fun.

Easy levelling system- It has an exp share type deal. So, you battle and all three of your pokemon level up with your trainer level. Although towards the middle of the game, you only really level up from npc battles. Although, I'm not sure if that was always the case and i never noticed. Regardless, easy to progress.

Cons
(I didn't really have too many cons, so consider these more nitpicks/cons)

Unclear progression towards the end- Mainly an issue with the english translation. (Which i don't believe is official) The text doesn't sit very well in the fullscreen mode so it can cut off what you have to do next, making progression a little frustrating towards the last bit of the game. This goes for unlocking characters animations too. While the gallery does give you hints on where to find missing characters, some are cut off which makes it difficult. This could be fixed with a proper patch, although if the hints stay similar in how they are written, i can see people still running into issues with how indirect and unclear some are.

Lack of after sex poses- It was always random which characters got them and which didn't. Feel there could have been more, but again it's a nitpick. Same with the lack of pubic hair on some.

Conclusion:
Honestly, a hard game to find fault with really. From a technical and porn gameplay standpoint, it's pretty perfect. Considering some other games i've played, I can't thing of the last time i've played one that felt this put together with content. Makes me want a sequel and more of the pokemon type gameplay. Didn't expect myself to get that invested in that side of it.

This is fairly close to the pokemon H game concept I've always thought "why hasn't this been made yet?". Many have tried, but I'm not sure any have brought things to fruition. Personally I have found all of the prior attempts I've tried to be unsatisfactory, and unfortunately it seems like having a fully complete game doesn't fix that (to me).

It could be that I find the art to range from bland to slightly unattractive most of the time - lots of boyish women, weird expressions, weird angles, things feel dirty. It could be that most characters have little to no development and so they feel more like a grind than a sexy experience - every woman is effectively brainwashed to allow you to fuck them if you beat their sexymons. It could be that things are most often gameplay focused, slipping away to mediocre-MTL H content in short spikes throughout - it's understandable but burdensom to do so. Hell, it could be that I'm just a desensitized asshole - I've been here for years, rocking my peers.

I'm not sure what it is, I just do not find this title to be sexually compelling. It has lots of custom art, it has animations, varying female types, things that would usually seal the deal on a 5 star rating, but it just doesn't come together for me. I feel compelled to play the game more than I do to enjoy the H content, and the H content is all that matters - I can't trade sexymon with my friends, I can't brag to them that I beat the next slutty gym leader, etc.

I wanted to like this. I played it quite a bit. I never got hard. It'd be dishonest to call my experience anything above 3 stars.

pokemon and pussy, good. Greate art and story is also interesting, but the art is definedly the main thing. Main carracter is also pritty good, but the creator clearly has an fetish . And also I really like pettite women so the loli thing does not bother me.

a very polished and incredible UI. a great game on its own and great art. Animated to booth. It sits very, very highly in my list as peak H-games AND as a mon-collector fan alike. Varied action, challenging strategy bonenza if a slight criticism it would be the variety of positions are kept fairly vanilla but are diverse and girls are plenty.

A masterpiece in every aspect. Story, Gameplay, Wealth of Content and Art are all top tier. Once it gets an official translation, it's a must-try.

As of time of this review, the TL is on ChatGPT level with some text overflowing (notably hints) and the DLC is completely untranslated but it primarily entails bonus content and bad end NTR.

It's a well-made parody of a certain franchise with skippable gameplay that is no way worse than playing the first entries of that franchise, just with XXX as reward, a better story and humor. It just has less exploration but still quite some.

I feel bad since this is clearly a labour of love, but it just falls short compared to Sex Ticket. This is quite a good game, but the previous one from this dev was so good that I can't help but compare the two.

First and foremost, let's talk about the sex scenes. There are 66 characters in the game that you can have sex with, the scenes are all animated and done in Boson Studio's art style. These are excellent.

But the flaw with these scenes is that for the vast majority of them, you get ONE scene per girl. In Sex Ticket you would have multiple scenes with the each girl, and you get to see the slow corruption and changes in attitude with the girl over time.

There's none of that here. 90% of the time, you meet a girl, you beat them in a Yarimon battle, you fuck them, and you never interact with them again. There's more girls here than in Sex Ticket (I think almost double the girls?) but the scenes feel much more hollow, much less memorable.

As for the non-sex parts of the game, it's decent. This is a well made Pokemon parody with all of the usual things you would expect from that. Catching wild 'mons in the tall grass, battles against other trainers, leveling your mons, type effectiveness, etc.

But it's also kind of dull? It's interesting that the have an actual set of 151 monsters to catch in the game but there's no incentive to go collect any of them. Clearly much effort was put into this aspect of the game but I don't really feel like it enhances the game all that much. If I actually wanted to play a Pokemon-style game I would be playing that instead of a porn game.

You know how in a lot of Japanese RPGM hentai games, they have you do the usual JRPG thing where you need to go into a dungeon, kill a bunch of monsters, level up and so forth to unlock hentai scenes? It always feel like pointless busy work, like what's the point of having that there at all, no one is really playing these type of games for the same tired gameplay mechanics from 40 years ago.

This kind of falls into the same trap. It's not as tired, since it's using the basic pokemon gameplay mechanics, and it's honestly pretty well paced since you have the option to turn on easy mode and just cheat your way past any battles.

But it still feels like pointless busy work. Overall, I'd rate this 7/10.

It's incredibly good, it really works as an erotic game. Maybe this is the best hentai version of Pokemon.

First of all, I must say that anyone who complains about the translation is an idiot, the same game indicates that the English version is in the testing phase (it's like telling a child not to touch the fire because they could get burned; anyway he touches it and starts crying). We agree?

There is a gallery that indicates 67 female characters with a scene and all of them are animated and the protagonist's rival has 3 scenes which would give a total of 70 animated scenes (Some characters are special and have more than one scene so there are more than 70 ).

The gameplay is basically the one used by Pokémon, with certain differences such as being able to change the formation of the monsters you catch at any time since you can only have 3 active per battle, another change is that the protagonist levels up and that level is associated with the monsters you catch which eliminates the hassle of leveling them up one by one and the main monster has the ability to eliminate anyone with a single hit (this is designed for those who do not enjoy these types of games since using the skill is completely optional) this skill can also be used to eliminate enemies that raise their defense too much or use status effects that make them invulnerable in case you start the battle wrong. The pokedex indicates that there are around 150 monsters you can catch.

In short, it is an unbalanced Pokémon in which you can use everything to your advantage, because they removed everything that makes you waste time. and you can play it in a traditional way. The game has not presented me with any bugs and the story is a sexual parody of Pokémon because of how well the gameplay is and the variety of scenes. I am not interested in the story and I can leave it aside without a problem, which is why I give it 5 stars and I want to clarify that my criteria is based on the games shown on this website.

was waiting for this game to get translated for so long, though as of right now a lot of UI isnt translated, and theres problems with the text wrapping (which kinda makes it hard to fully understand moves and abilities), im sure it will get a better translation some day though

anyways, ever since sex ticket i've really admire the artist's style and character designs! the animations are great too, choppy but very expressive, better than skeletal animation at least. im also really impressed with the gen 3 pokemon graphics/general vibe, im guessing most assets are custom made, including some music, though the npc sprites look reaaaallly similiar. the monster designs are pretty bland overall but at least none of the ones ive seen so far reach palworld levels of "inspiration"

the gameplay is obviously pokemon like, but very simplified for development/casual gameplay, theres a lot of quality of life mechanics seen in modern pokemon though. i like the fact that they give you a busted move, but do not require you to use it except the first time (at least so far i think? im actually not 100% done, im hoping theres a reward at the end but not expecting it), kind of acting as a player made hard mode. in general i like how in control the player is of the game's difficulty with how you can run from all trainers and fights, but also challenge over leveled ones, though in the end the games definitely casual focused

since im not fully done, i cant really judge the story too properly, but from what ive been through so far, there is most definitely a more intricate story going on than sex ticket. just like sex ticket, i personally love the short h scenes and how fun fun fun it is with the common sense overwriting gimmick

if you like pokemon or you like sex ticket, this is a top tier game! will most definitely buy it if an english release comes out

The translation is not complete but the game is entirely playable since everything other than the interface(s) is translated well enough, every move, every item, every monster's name, every bit of dialogue, every location name, etc... and the untranslated options other than the main menu ones have symbols that make them easy to identify. [Note: this review is based on version 1.07 according to some comments newer versions of the game that have better more complete translations are out there, if by the time you see this review there's a newer version up this portion of my review may be obsolete].

Writing: A cute parody story set in a post apocalypse, about a boy pursuing his dream of being a poke~ *cough* Yarimon trainer, alongside his two childhood friends/rivals that have crushes on him, his tsundere bully, and his tomboy best friend. Resolving various minor conflicts along the way, and eventually saving the world, whilst uncovering his mysterious partner's past.

The gameplay is exactly what it should seem like to anyone that realizes what it's a parody of, if you ever feel frustrated with the difficulty don't hesistate to use the cheat move, there's no special reward for not using it, and the story just assumes you use it anyway, since story wise there's a reason your partner is that OP, it's not just so you can cheat.

Music wise it has a decent amount of variety given the size of the game and some of the soundtracks are honestly really good.

SMALL GUIDE FOR ANYONE STRUGGLING WITH INTERFACE:
In the main menu when you launch the game click on the 4th option if it doesn't say english in the box that option sets the language for everything other than the interface, if it already says english you don't need to do anything else, The 1st option is start, the 2nd option is load, and the 3rd option is settings (audio and something else)

IN GAME INTERFACE GUIDE:
-the blue notebook is your Yarimondex
-the pink notebook is your humandex (aka: h-scene gallery)(Note: one of the scenes can only be accessed in a secret extra area, that your told how to access after beating the game, and any scene you chose not to watch/unlock can be unlocked in that extra area too, there is no way to accidentally lock yourself out of completing this dex).
-the discs are your monster discs(aka: your party)
-bag is items
-green notebook is save files(There are 20 save slots you can use)
-the gear is the same settings option you access in the main menu
-the back arrow just closes the menu
-Lastly, once you unlock fast travel the witch's broom is your fast travel option(this interface isn't translated either but you can clearly see which locations are which, because it shows you an aerial view of each location you can fast travel to)

PARTY INTERFACE
Clicking on your yarimon will bring up three options
-1st allows you to set your yarimons moveset(they never forget any move but they can only use 4 at a time)
-2nd allows you to change the position of your yarimon
-3rd allows you to use stored exp to level up your yarimon
-Lastly bellow where your last party member is there's a button with a couple of squares, this button allows you to retrieve any stored Yarimon at any time.(It's honestly better to use this method to swap out Yarimons, not the machine in the clinic, since there's no risk of accidentally releasing your monsters this way, and you don't need to seek out a clinic)

Lastly for anyone that wants to actually cheat; Mtool works on this game(messing with items is probably the safest way).
