I keep noticing pretty much every 'game' *cough* produced is a variation on these. Same damn 'game'. Bad graphics. Shit writing . Forcing MC's into situations (my fav of this is a game with young guy who moves in with hot mom and sister, goes to work for family corp.. and is then forced into sex scenes with 200 pound 65yo black 3d model..). Or they are bad knockoffs of DMD/Lewd island .. except once female protags experience lust they either BEG FOR ANYONE TO FUCK THEM... or.. instantly NTR because.. writer has serious fucking issues.

I see a lot of brilliant concepts here. But they always turn into these 'games'. or is it just me

Yup, only You :D

Ok, now, seriously. Which game is it where:
young guy who moves in with hot mom and sister, goes to work for family corp.. and is then forced into sex scenes with 200 pound 65yo black 3d model..
Because it seems damn funny, wanna try it out :p

And You may have some point... There's a lot of similiar concepts in "these" games, but a lot of them evolves further into something else, so this is where ;)
I'm also very picky about my game choices, so I can simply avoid disappointments (btw. DMD was one of them, a bit overrated imo), so solution is pretty simple: take Your time finding a game (search tool by tags and prefixes seriously works, You have my promise, pinky promise) reading reviews and opinions and I'm sure You'll find something You're looking for.
Complaining won't get You any closer finding it.

It's just you and your tastes.

I play a lot of games from here and i've rarely seen any like that but I avoid incest games and male protag ones, also it's generally "corruption" (term used loosely) games where women are turned into sluts and I don't play those either.

If those are the kind of games you like you will see similar concepts because people copy what works.

If you've played Road Trip you've played nearly every corruption game ever made, they all follow similar themes. Same for incest, play some of the older games and you've seen it all.

Also, your penis is the size of a medium sized elephant trunk, and yet you have somehow remained a virgin.
Contrary to what some believe a lot of women avoid large dicks.

I only use toys but from my straight friends if a dick is too big it fucking hurts so the huge dicks you see in some games would be virgins because only a porn star being paid a fortune to get her vagina ruined would fuck them.

Sorta missing the point, but good news? I guess?

I forgot its some game where the protag goes to work in the family corp or something. Other than that (horrible writing) it was quality.. renders, theworld he created etc. Just one of those games like a subset of the ntr games where the writer seems to be working out his.. issues.. by forcing players into a scene he gets off on forcing them into. Oh.. also abandoned im pretty sure

And it's not about finding a game. Ive come to the conclusion most people here start creating a game and realie the incredible amount of work/hardware/resources involved and quit. OR want to copy something they saw because they think its hot then.. quit. Im not criticising lol its a LOT of work , investment and learning. Id have had a game out 6 months or a year ago but i keep learning more and improving. You know what sucks? Making something you and others thing is awesome then 6 months later looking back from your newest version of it and thinking the one before sucked :)

It's not about finding anything. i come here more for inspiration by the devs artists and creators. Theres more of that here than on the octane /daz/c4d etc forums. It's that some of these people have talent and they just hack shit out. Honestly the devs/artists here should work to promote people forming dev teams. Great writer + great cg artists + good programmer and you have a great game

Bad graphics. Shit writing.
From my experience the visuals keep getting better. Admittedly the writing doesn't.

As for the title, it's just the easiest (laziest) way to set up a game in the ever-popular incest genre. Apparently that's what the paying customers want, giant-donged young guys fucking their busty moms and sisters.
At this point I honestly stopped giving a shit about the setting altogether as long as the visuals are decent and the writing somewhat tolerable.

i have to agree. Once they get a tiny bit of success if they dont abandon they do get better at art. the writing though ugh

i really dont like that plot, 18 old dude in a harem situation and usually family. so many games are like that, and the best is 18 years old, never got lucky before and now suddenly he gets to fuck anything that moves. its tiresome, but a majority of people seems to like that plot, and they like milf, incest and harem. what can we do about that?

and about extraordinary, its fiction not documentaries. so it tends to exaggerate, i can live with that.
so, for me i dont put my energy on that but more on gameplay, what fetish it has and of course quality of rendering/animation.

:ROFLMAO: Sorry I know you are taking this topic seriously, this comment made me laugh at how true it is.

What surprises me is how some people take the plots of some games, it's just fiction that develops from the tastes of its author and are played by the tastes of others, as there are people who like to make stories without falling into those tropes, as well as those who make an amalgam of them, you're the one who chooses which of the two to play.

PS: My English is very bad, I know.

There's not much gameplay to be had in most cases, but it's one of the reasons I prefer sandbox titles to straight VNs, even though the latter usually have better pacing and writing. At least sandbox gives the illusion of choice and an actual game beneath it all.

I fully agree about fetishes though, that's a huge factor for me. Apart from incest, which might as well be vanilla when it comes to western adult games, a lot of fetishes are barely catered to.

Read the description, reviews and tags BEFORE you play a game.
If the game is just like the description says, and it has the right tags,
and some other idiot already wrote a review saying that it's all the things you hate,
and you still played the game anyway... then you can't complain. you have no one to blame but yourself

Well, every day I take a look at Last Releases section I only see a bunch of Hentai games.

We people focus more on the things we don't like than the things we like.

lancelotdulak is right on the point about why many copying the same tropes; Most people starting a new game with the old (old, from first hentai VN games) trope of guy moving to new home, (and that's just a trope that most movies direct to TV use, because is a classic to set up a starting situation), is just because they like the idea and they want to make their version.

Because they want to.
But if they're not excellent on any or various aspects of game design (graphics, writting, etc), that new project is just not gonna get following. And that's ok and well if the dev is not looking for money.

But yeah, it amuses me now and then on this day viewing some threads like "Hey, I'm starting a new game, it is about this guy who returns home with his mother and hot sisters but things has changed... now lil sis got boobs and mom is a sexual repressed who needs some good spanking".

But the thing is that first commenters say "yeah fuck yes models look hot just do it".

So.....
Rant accepted, Just ignore what you do not want to play, and only play games that look like exhausted tropes after hearing a lot of people saying "is better than it appears", and be happy. xD

About 4 of you are missing the point. im thinking because you just come here to download games.
Id say 30% of the people who publish games are really doing it in hopes of making money. And they can. But theyre putting out hackish garbage. And i think they COULD put out something great and eventually make money at it. But 95% of them keep making the same mistakes, put out a .01 and abandon..

When Doom/Wolfenstein3D originally came out, the markets were quickly flooded with an array of knockoff clones. Some were decent, most were not. Ditto for Warcraft/Command&Conquer. So when the first half dozen or so games with similar "boy-man lives with hot mom and sisters, goes to school with hot teachers and coeds, much naughtiness ensues" themes started making bucketloads of money, of course there were going to be imitators, good, bad and indifferent.
In theory there's an infinite number of premises upon which to base an adult game. In theory, anyway. In practice, as people have mentioned in other threads, there are a finite number of assets/props such as buildings/interiors, furniture, etc, when it comes to 3d models. So in effect sci fi and fantasy games are somewhat harder to make, and more mundane contemporary urban/suburban settings are easier to make. So it's a boring suburban household--how do you make that hot? 1st, make the characters really attractive. Second, introduce a taboo element, like incest. 3rd, bring in other fetishes, so now what's "exotic" about the setting is what's happening beneath the surface.
Now, you say, there's already 150 games like that out there...how do you make one that stands out and still makes money? Great artwork and hot scenes. Great writing helps to amp up those hot scenes. And one other thing...put something new or different in there, a twist or turn. A little bit of voice acting, better than average animations, a sprinkling of humor, bonus content...any number of things can make a game really stand out.

I think a trap that some devs fall into is trying to add too many fetishes that they personally are not really into. Using myself as an example, I could make a foot fetish scene if I wanted to. It doesn't repulse me, but it does absolutely nothing for me either so I probably couldn't do it justice like someone who was actually into that could.

I do think you can expand to things that are outside your comfort zone as long as you can find something about the scene that appeals to you and focus on making that aspect as hot as possible but I think it's mostly a waste of time to develop content that holds no appeal to you. I struggled with this issue some with my mod when I decided to try adding NTR to it since I strongly dislike NTR when playing. I found that it doesn't bother me when developing though, it's just somewhat annoying to playtest.
