You may only attach 32 files. (How To Increase Or Other Image Methods?)

I made an admin ticket almost two months ago with no reply, so I am asking here instead.

I have been working on creating a Giantess Games Master List for a long time; however, I have only now come upon the problem where I can no longer add images/thumbnails for each game, as it says, 'You may only attach 32 files.'

Is there anyway its possible for there to be an increase in this limit to be able to continue to add thumbnails for each game? Or are there any other methods to get around this problem?

This would make the list look much nicer, more comprehensive, and easier for the users in picking out which games they like while navigating the large list, instead of blinding clicking on each one just to see the image on the games page. Thanks in advance to everyone who replies! (And yes I know one option is not to use F95 but something like google docs, but I would rather still use F95 for this.)

Increasing the limit yourself, no. A moderator would probably be able to clarify whether you can request a higher limit though.
What you can try is: Use

or make a post each containing 32 games and use the link instead to display the images in the OP (like so: https://attachments.f95zone.to/2025/06/5002875_A_Growing_Adventure_Prologue.png ), not sure if either method works, but something worth trying.

Yeah, they should display as images. You can do insert -> Media -> imgur link and, if in another reply, image - by url (only works if it's F95Zone attachments, as far as I know). However, I am not sure if that will work. It's just something you can try.

Imgur method doesn't work. It looks like even using the image link is counting as an attachment as it just says 'Something went wrong. Please try again or contact the administrator.'

The second method you suggested has worked. I have made a separate thread and I'll just use that one for images and then link them to the main OP. Thanks for the help! (Even if the workaround is a really stupid way.)

Nevermind... It only solved the problem temporarily. It seems the second method has a max amount as well, with only 20 image links allowed before it prevents you again. Any other solutions?

I will create another ticket soon, but I would like to ask the staff instead of the admins where to apply for it this time. The admin ticket is still a black hole, so I will give the staff ticket a try, and this thread only helped with 20 extra images before the method stopped working.

Very low I would suspect, as that limit was just recently implemented to take more stress of the Attachment servers. Like people experienced a few days ago when we had 3 Attachment servers down for a while at once.

You are aware that server space and traffic costs money right?

That doesn't explain why third party attachments are also limited, my first guess is that having too many attachments in a single page (so hundreds of them) would slow down the loading of a page a lot, especially for those with slow connection.

I am not sure about that tbh. I didn't even know that existed in the first place (The limitation) cause I basically never use it anyways. Posting NSFW stuff on imgur will just be removed

I would suspect its maybe not necessary about the load speed, more about the size. Imagine you're on a metered connection just want to open a tread but have to load like half a GB of attachments Thats not thaaaat much of a problem anymore with the compressing of attachments. But I would guess that links to 3rd party sites are the full size of the images/gifs.

Oh yeah, that's another big one. Mobile/some countries do have metered connection and it'd suck for sure.

It's also a question of politeness for the external host(s).

Imagine, you're operating an image hosting server, and a place like here, with thousands of visitors hourly, indirectly suck your bandwidth because dozens of the images you host are present on their pages. You wouldn't really be happy about this.

So there's no solution for this at all then? And it doesn't allow external sites like imgur as attachments in the first place anyway. I would go with choosing a normal file hoster and uploading the images there. Like mega or workupload. One that doesn't delete files fast and lets people view the images online.
