I'm curious as to the proportion of futa enjoyers within the population. Implied by view counts on video sites and popularity of futa patreons it would be presumable that a positive perception of futa is the majority. Though when attempting discussion of futa within nsfw specialized websites like 4chan it is perceived with disdain, This is effectively a survey of the website's population.

It's hardly the first time a word takes on a different meaning in another language.

I don't partake in futa, the games featuring the tag tend to be too unrealistic for my taste, namely the huge dicks and tits (even by porn standards). Looking forward to the split from the trans tag.

To me, it honestly barely matters. The difference between a true futa and a dickgirl is minimal when it comes to sex appeal, since the female genitalia is barely even visible most of the time. Sure, it's an extra hole, but that's about it. I do see some people being pretty anal about it though (no pun intended), to each their own I suppose. The only context in which I can see the importance of a true futa, is with games involving futa pregnancy.

My humble opinion:

Futa has to have both genitals. Honestly i think the tags shouldn't be combined. "Futa/Trans" these are two different things for me. In my head cannon they are always female.
