i like this game and the idea behind it. all characters have their own personalities and kinks. some scenes have different variations, so that some scenes are pretty hard to get which makes the game worth playing more than one time.

i was skeptical first because of the sandbox tag, there aren't many of thoose i like. but in this case it's definitely the right choice. so don't get scared of it only because it's a sandbox, give it a try and you will see that's not annoying the opposite you have the freedom to do what you want, when you want.

P.S. i really love your review about alice and her change to a lesbian jufot, that's the only thing i didn't like that much too. no one changes his sexual orientation "over night". but i will not change my rating because of that.

[v0.5] Lesbian MC games are rare. Harem-ish lesbian games are even more so. Progressive harem-ish lesbian games without blackmail and corruption basically don't exist. Well, they didn't, until now

There is no story or plot. Under most circumstances, I would deduct a point or two for that, but Yuri University is trying to do something unique here. It deserves a chance at success, and it'd be a shame to dismiss it for something it doesn't do.

Gameplay wise, it's a run-of-the-mill sandbox, with the MC trying to get in the pants of everyone she meets. It's cutesy and wholesome, with a commendable focus on consent and BDSM etiquette.

I will deduct one point for Alice, though. Early in the game, she is presented as straight and even mentions a past boyfriend. When asked, she explicitly says she never fancied MC, and only sees her as a friend.

And yet, pretty much immediately after that, she starts doing lewd stuff with MC, and labels herself "bi-curious". Wouldn't you know it, she did find MC attractive in the past! All she needed was a good bit of fingering and mutual masturbation to see the error of her ways!

In any other game, this stuff wouldn't bother me - it wouldn't even register, since the bar is so low. In Yuri University, though, it reads like cutesy conversion therapy. It implies that straight women are just a mutual masturbation session away from being bi. That's just... wrong, and it's disappointing to see. There was a good opportunity here to explore what life is like being straight in a house full of queer girls. Not only the opportunity is missed, it's missed in a way that undermines the game's politics. And for that, I deduct a point.

Still, Yuri University is a much better game than its contemporaries, and is well worth a look

With ~10 hrs played, what I can say:

Pros:
YURI. I LOVE FUCKING YURI! THER'S NOT ENOUGH YURI ON THIS FORSAKEN PLANET! Jokes apart, if you like girl-on-girl, you'll probably like this game.
Good art, considering it's Illusion.
No bugs! For an initial release having played 10 hours, I remember only one error screen and not a game breaking one, jut ignored and moved along, no problems.

Neutral:
Writing, story and dialogue, it's passable. There's far worse, but it's no George RR Martin of lesbian smut.
"Forced" polyamorous path, the game assumes you gonna be a lesbian horndog pinning after anything with boobs and MAYBE a pussy and the other girls just go along with it like it's nothing.
There are dialogues that make reference to events that you may haven't yet seen or done.

Cons:
No major cons.
If you don't like polyamorous, bi-curious and all that "progressive" kind of relations, then this game is definitely not for you.
