Can't say for sure on that. And my own previous question kind of exemplifies how the matter of the MC's hair color was kind of ambiguous even before this redesign you speak of.
There's a whole range of shades between blond and brown where things get dubious and defined in contrast to other people or hair tones. But i bet some women might be able through experience and social factors to rant far longer and with much greater knowledge of the subject than i ever will.
The dev already replied to the thread and confirmed what I said, even saying he wanted to make the MC black and wasn't getting traction...
I mean, you pick two fantasy characters, one that was made over 80 years ago as a comic character (who tend to be more diverse because of who designed the majority of American comic book characters), and the other of which was made by an idiosyncratic sci-fi director over 40 years ago... IDK what to say to you dude, it's well documented among white male actors without brown hair the difficulty they have securing leading roles, and you can look at the general landscape.
Like seriously, even just go through the latest update page, and select male protagonist. Go on Netflix, sort through movies with male leads. Not sure how my point isn't obvious, it's not even a contentious thing.
Also on the original MC's hair color being ambiguous, it's red-auburn. Anyone with orange to auburn hair can be called a redhead, not sure why you're being so nitpicky on that point lol. Yea, there are people who are "sandy", dirty blond, strawberry blond, etc., but the three main hair color categories for white people are blond, redhead, and brune(tte). Never really seen anyone contend with those categorizations lol...
Women are a different question because guys have preferences for a range of female hair color, and I'm not sure if women are as concerned as guys with a protagonist being "relatable" down to the point of hair color.
The fact is, the MC is no longer a redhead because the dev opened it up to the audience, and they predictable wanted a generic brunet white guy. Not casting aspersions on the dev, just unfortunate (IMO) seeing another MC get generified.
If you must know, my first character idea was an afro character, Tobias. But the feedback on the comic with him wasn't convincing. And the rare VNs with Afro-American protagonists didn't work.
Where can I find your comics? Also, hope you don't put the dick/stalker route on the back burner, we don't get enough of those. Also, for futa content, can you do male on futa, even for the jacked ones? Most futa content is futa on male already, and there are a lot of people who like male on futa in an incest game, just no one makes it except Snats basically so he has most of that audience.
