Yeah, it is a hard boss, for those who don't know what to do.
First up, pump up the brightness in your monitor, the screen doesn't go black, the room just gets really dark.
Once that's done you'll be able to see the room a little bit.

I dont know if this is a bug or if I did something wrong but I cant restore power. I go into the power plant and try and click on the computer and nothing happens.

you need to go to the sub levels with the elevator on the right... gather some passwords from personal E-Mails and files and unlock several doors before you can restore the power... you'll also witness the birth of a new enemy type.
And the ending dialogue changes depending on whether or not and who is accompying you.
