I fully played through A Zombie's Life and I found it agonizing. The gathering system there was a pain in the ass, bullets were stupid rare, and enemies respawned so often that they barely mattered. In Zombie Retreat, there IS an alternative to the gun, you just don't get it until you unlock the southern campsite, which is a ways into the story. Although, getting Metal to make Bullets isn't exactly hard, and the gun is stronger and shoots further anyway, so it's mostly useless. The disposable items aren't that annoying, you get a few uses out of them before being disposed, and even then you get back more materials than you spent to make them.literally the ONLY improvement this game has over a zombies life is the non-convoluted gathering system, and even then, there aren't enough of them and you can end up with shortages due to luck. And if you don't have the right girl with you(which isn't necessarily bad but can get annoying)
having to re make disposable items is annoying, the fact that you have no alternative to the gun, and yeah....of course.....it's unfinished. Less areas, less girls less scenes etc
It might be better once it gets filled out more. Until then it's an unfinished clone(not bashing the game just disputing that it's "better" in its current state)
Yeah I get that thats why I used rpg maker save edit tool on each new update Max out bullets and supplies and just focus on the storyI fully played through A Zombie's Life and I found it agonizing. The difficulty is more relaxed too, I hated how frustating A Zombie's Life was with it's enemies, and item management, especially the limited carrying space crap, which was based off Strength, the only real important stat in that game. Speaking of which, it took forever to train those attributes, in addition to the item grinding and story, and searching what were essentially zombie packed buildings usually empty of items you needed.
Also, Zombie's Life may have been out longer, but it is by no means better in terms of scenes. Most of the artwork in that was just like unfinished pencil work, with basically the same scenes only slightly advanced each time. Plus, like the whole theme of that game was basically rape. Were the girls interested in you? No, they were drunk off your stupid sex-emitting radiation zombie dick.
To each their own, but I feel like this game is a far improvement over the other, even though it's early in development, which only gives more hope for its future (if it ever gets finished). Now if only the developer would devote more time to working on it, instead of once every few months.
Meh, but if you have to cheat at a game, especially one of this degree of Indie, then it's obviously not well designed. I will give it praise for doing decent with the city design (although it's a bit too damn big) and with the horror aspect, especially that underground segment without the lights, but Zombie Retreat does basically the same thing, only without the mundane boring parts.Yeah I get that thats why I used rpg maker save edit tool on each new update Max out bullets and supplies and just focus on the story
There is a thread here for this game? I can't find it at f95zone search...Red alarm, guys: ScarlettAnn - this game's artist - just released an alpha of her own game (Savior Quest).
That alpha was just released two days ago. No, it hasn't got a a thread yet. You can try setting up a request in the Requests forum. There is a thread here for this game? I can't find it at f95zone search...

In AZL, The zombies don't respawn in buildings, but the overworld is slathered with enemies, most of which who move fast later, which if your low on ammo, makes the game an unfair nightmare. I only bothered to bring the side characters with me to unlock story elements and I haven't played the game in a really long, so I'm unaware of any minigames, but without using a guide and playing the game as intended, it hardly seems "braindead", and I'm not about to dump dozens of hours into the game again to change my view on it, as I didn't enjoy it the first time around. Also, I'm pretty sure some of the buildings respawn zombies, at least I remember the giant multifloored office building where you get the wedding ring brought them back after I wasted a bunch of them, and I think the zombies in the underground areas respawn too.I get what you’re saying, And I know it’s ridiculous to say “git gud” at a porn game but a lot of your problems seem to be based off misconceptions
Like bullets aren’t rare in Azl. You just have to know where to look. And honestly you don’t even need them once you have melee weapons or you go gathering with the sister/aunt who basically destroy all difficulty in the game since they reduce every encounter to a mini game. They basically make you invincible. The game is actually braindead. This game is way harder because it forces you to use the shifty shooting mechanics and limited ammo.
Zombies don’t respawn inside buildings at all. Only outside. Once you kill them inside the buildings they are gone forever.
If the buildings don’t have what you need, it’s probabky because you think that strength is the only stat that matters. The sense stat is really important, since it gives you more items. Once you know where to look you’ll be tripping over any items you want. That’s probably why you needed to grind so much too.
Raising stats probabky goes faster when you have a goal, like doing the character quests and you’re not just grinding.
I know it’s really fucking obnoxious but a lot of your issues seem to be that you didn’t really figure out how to play it. It IS a relatively
The only things I agree on are that the gathering is less tedious(but more limited). The difficulty is way higher here
As for scenes the ones here are t really finished either. They’re mostly identical.
I don’t know if I’d qualify it as “rape” but I guess I see your problem? Preference for pure vanilla is reasonable. But even if it was vague mind control the scenes and the stories were pretty sweet/pure otherwise.
I think this game has the potential to be better but as it is now, not even close.
