Ren'Py - A Wife's Phone [v0.4.8] [Bloody Ink]

This game has potential. If you're into NTR and BBC this is a good game for you as you can turn every woman in your life into a BBC loving whore. There is also a whole feminization segment and trans element that I didn't play.

Now the bad. The code seems to be a god awful mess. There are bugs aplenty and the UI is incredibly inconsistent.

• You have to click three times to advance a day, although the middle time period seems to have no events. I don't know why it exists except to give yourself a little extra exercise in your clicking finger.
• You have weird interactions between story threads
  • My wife stopped talking to me in one "story thread" but at the same time proposed a threesome with another woman in the other thread on the same day.
  • Multiple events happen at the same time. I apparently spent the night with three women and one of them slept with another dude all on the same night.
• The status icons on the messages/wifeSpy app are so bad they are useless.

I get it that the writer isn't a programmer, but my god, how can you screw this up? I can only imagine that they have a separate variable tracking the number of messages that didn't get decremented correctly at some point and is now always running @ 1 when the system thinks it's at zero.

This is not the way you do something like this. Don't maintain a separate variable, but instead count the number of widgets (messages, events, or whatever) in real time. Computers are really fast. Don't store information that you can quickly calculate!

Buy a new mouse and/or keyboard before playing this game. Because you're gonna need it after the insane amount of clicking that you have to do to get through this game. This is easily the biggest clicks to erotic content ratio of any game on this site that I've ever played.

The sad part is, the game started pretty good. But after so many updates, you've got half a dozen story lines all happening at the same time, involving a variety of people, and the number of clicks has gone up exponentially.

Then to compound the "clicking" problem, the storylines don't even match. In one conversation, the wife's talking to a friend about how it felt after her first time cheating on her husband the past weekend, but in the very next conversation, she's talking to a different friend about how she doesn't think she could cheat on her husband and is shocked that her friend can do it so casually.

I haven't even touched on the fact that the story is absurd in the first place... but it's a porn game, so I'll let it go.

Dev needs to figure out how to shorten these conversations or speed them up. In addition, there's numerous storylines I have no interest in, but they're still on the damn phone. Maybe there are some convos you can ignore, like on a real phone, but I had story progression issues at one point and ended up going out of my way to make sure I checked every notification to make sure I didn't miss something.

Lastly, my left-click finger has fallen off from clicking the mother f'ing mouse button so many times, so, unfortunately, I'm done with this game. I'll just watch porn instead.

I have to say I was surprised by this game. Ren'py and real porn never worked for me but this is an incredible game. There are different paths you can take, with different kinks, there's a lot of content and I like most of the characters in the game. I really like how the wife doesn't change in a day an there's a corruption process. Knowing that this game hasn't been under development for long, makes me feel there's a lot more to come. One of the best game I played in this genre.

A Wife's Phone is a good game with an identity crisis.

It's good because there's a LOT of content here and the style is unique (whole game is played on a phone) and some scenes are really really hot.

But it seems like the developer wanted to please everyone and so it can get confusing because there are so many paths that dont really seem to be for the target audience of the game. It says cheating, NTR, harasment, feminisation, thats the big draw and what the game markets, but you can also play the game denying all these things and even being dominant. Why?

And it would be fine if it didnt get confusing with the choices. Some of the choices made me think "wait do I go to a dominant path if I take this?" for just simply not rolling over and giving some resistence to some of the characters. There are also whole characters you cant progress with or see more content with unless you try to make them have sex with you. It sucks the developer tried to create things for people who would never like or play this game in the first place because it just makes parts of the game weird and muddy.

At many points in the game I made choices I didnt really want to make, because it was like this: if you dont just tell your wife "yes baby I love it when you cheat on me" you lose access to the rest of the content or it can take you on a dominant path, just because you resist. And even in the main story with your wife, you have no choice but to end up being lovey dovey swingers together.

On the positive side, there is still some amazing things here the developer did right. The story with your wife and Greg is so good and hot, maybe the best cheating content I ever played. Jenna is awesome. Developer also did a very good job with how many pictures there are and how they are put into the game with the texting, plus also the videos. They mostly always feel natural and rarely out of place. The Instagram app also works really well for the same things, its a smart thing to include. Personally I thought the mindcontrol stuff was a little silly, I think the game could have been just fine if it wasnt included and it was just about spying and texting. I tried to use it as a little as possible, it never felt realistic at all. I like feminisation but I didnt use it in this game for the same reason, it felt out of place and not really logical.

So yes the game would be an easy 5/5, but it has to be a 4 because of things I said, like how the developer tries to cater to everyone instead of just focusing on the things that people who are drawn to this game would find hot like embarrassment, cheating, it makes the game confusing at points. You have to be careful with your choices if you want to play it like it seems like its supposed to be played...... And the cheating aspects, they dont really last, you just end up being happy swingers, so NTR lovers should look somewhere else.

There are a lot of good things in this game.

I like the UI and how the game works overall, I didn’t mind the switch to an “open world”, I actually liked the regular messages even when you beat the game, however those could use more variations.

I love the wife, and I love how Jenna is written in particular: both are really hot and keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for their next move.

I’ve really only got two major complaints that I hoped would get addressed in the previous releases:

It is an instant turn off for me when I can see that the videos are from various pornstars or amateurs and not Casey Calvert. Sometimes it’s alright since you don’t see her face, but most of the time it can’t be overlooked. I understand that the creator can’t always find videos that suit his script, however why not just scrap the idea and write a script that could suit a video with the actual actress? It breaks the immersion.
The second gripe I’ve got is with script inconsistencies.
TL;DR: to Bloody Ink : please use more videos that picture Casey Calvert, she’s amazing. And please go back and fix the script/replace some videos.

This is my first ever games review. I don't ever leave reviews, but for this game I have no choice. I have to. I have to spread the word about this game, and tell people what they are missing not playing this game....

So that being said, the first thing I have to say about this game is that this game is a absolute masterpiece. It's a slow burn and starts off quite slow, lots of reading needed, but it takes you on such a emotional, adrenaline filled rollercoaster ride of a journey. Playing it, I could very easily believe it was real life, and that it was my own wife or girlfriend that was the main character. That's how brilliant and creative the writing is.

The developer has clearly put hundreds and hundreds of hours of hard work in to the writing of this game, which in this type of game is what it's about, and weather this sort of game succeeds, or fails, depends on the quality of the wiring, and the story in which it takes you on. And I can honestly say, hand on heart, this is one of the best games that's ever existed, based on the quality of the wiring, and the story alone.

If that's not good enough for you, the imagery chosen, and the video's in game take it from a masterpiece, to a whole new level, if that's even possible. The images in game are hand picked by the developer absolutely perfectly.

I am trying to put it in to words, how spectacular and amazing, and clever this game is, but I'm struggling. What I am writing here does not do the game justice.

If you are one of these people who want to open the game, and get straight in to the action, then this game is not for you.

If you want to be taken on a erotic, emotionally filled rollercoaster ride of emotions, with a slow but exciting story. then this game is definitely worth playing, I already 100% completed the game, and after writing this review I'm going to go back and start from the beginning.

Well done developer, you've created an absolute masterpiece

This game went from good to average with a quickness.

The Good -

1. An absolute ton of kinks all jumbled into a single game.
2. Beaitiful models
3. Pretty Solid Layout (until it isn't)

The Bad -

1. The code is a GD mess. Its 10 balls of string thrown on a living room floor with 4 kittens going to town on them. Storylines are out of order. Things you absolutely turned off just happen anyways. One day your wife is like "I don't know if I like bbc." The same day she gets a text "Wanna bang 2 bbc today? and she responds "I LOVE BBC" . One day she says she has never cheated *and she meant it* and she cheated like 3 times the previous week.
2. The amount of clicking through is ABSOLUTELU BONKERS. Day night cycle SUCKS.
3. The dude demanded a billion dollars and the MC said ... dang!! I guess I have to do it... LMAO
4. Some storylines start up early and then fall off... BUT ... BUT then they show back up on day 200 of clicking. So insane.
5. The MC is a freakin window licker who somehow became a CEO (and lost his company via a text) so I guess that kinda works? He knows someone is fucking him over... he says to Jenna "I HATE YOU" and doesn't block her. I've blocked people because I didn't like their all caps texting or bad grammar...
6. Cognitive dissonance. Author needs to look it up.
7. What do I know? The author is prob making 5k a month making this jumbled mess of a game using other people's content (porn stars) in a renpy game. Doesn't mean it isn't broken all to hell though.

Easily one of the best NTR games around. Creates a lot of suspense and offers a game that feels somehow closer to life in a very different approach than the usual cookie-cutter ntr game. There are some inconsistencies still and the paths feel a bit disjointed.
There also is a LOT of clicking, so don't expect to be done in five minutes.
But it is worth it.

I love this game. It's amazing! I love the story, the pictures, videos everything. There are a couple of inconsistencies here and there but I can overlook them. As with all games there's a couple bugs but no to bad. I can't wait to see how this story turns out and where it leads. Especially when it comes to the story with the wife and son; wife and the brother-in-law and most of all wife and the queen of spades route.

Cool game and a nice story. I like the different story’s are funny and you can take a lot from f choices. Sometimes it’s lame when nothing more comes and you have a day without new things. I don’t like the part where you must watch the hypno parts. Every time the the videos. Maybe we need some new videos ?

One of the best games there is. Love the phone concept. the immersion is wonderful. I love the teasing and tempo, denials and natural conversation with characters. Cant wait for the updates. Subscribe to patrion, its a must.

This is more like a linear "Visual" (actually text with photos) novel than a sandbox game.
It has various relationships mixed together that appear in specific order to give a "sandbox effect".
Even though it has a counter system for number of days, corruption, resistance, cuckold, ntr, obedience, etc. none of these are taken in consideration or have any effect in the gameplay (except from 4 specific events).

So, as a Visual novel I'd give it a 4 stars.... but as a game play where the choices of the player affect the dialogs/events only 1 star.

Amazing game. Priority focus on NTR, but there are many other options. I would like a little more freedom of choice and a different fetish and it could actually be perfect. The style of the text dialogues is simple and realistic. It uses a smart system when you watch everything from your smartphone. Through this device you communicate with people and see the results as photos and videos. The photos and models fit the scene and the concept is very exciting so far. Pretty hot so far, nice and slow with the corruption, I love the dynamic between the MC and the wife, the side characters are interesting too. I wonder where this is all going, will the son get some action with the mom? I look forward to the next installment

A Wife's Phone is an example of a mediocre game that goes downhill fast. This review is current as of the v0.3.0 update and may contain heavy spoilers.

A Wife's Phone is a 'real porn' game that focuses almost entirely on hypnotic corruption for the purposes of BBC NTR cuckold gameplay. The entire game is seen from the perspective of the player's phone. At times, the player will switch to using the phone of other characters. There are paths for the MC and wife to remain faithful but that story goes nowhere and is boring as hell. All the other love interests will be hardwired to go for BBC even if you choose ANY of the other corruption options (including the wife).

The game started out as an interesting concept and had some interesting dynamics between the MC and his wife. However, by the end of the last update, there is no way to avoid the wife cheating on her husband. Even worse, the wife tries to set up the husband to "cheat" so she can continue to have sex with as much BBC as she wants. That storyline alone is a reason to lose any interest in continuing the game. The first release had a sexy allure between the wife and the MC. As she becomes corrupted, that interaction becomes routinely boring with no change and excitement. The wife's attitude goes from acting virginal and naive to being a complete whore. The next day she is right back to being sweet and loving. That would be fine if the content matched. Instead, it is a mismatch of stories and a failure to support each type of content.

In order to get through the ridiculous grind, there is a time-of-day skip button that has to be used three times per day to get to the next day. Each major event is scheduled to happen roughly on a three- to seven-day schedule. As you can see, that requires A LOT of skipping just to get one small event to happen.

As mentioned, the game uses 'real porn' footage to have any sex scenes. Nearly all of the sex scenes are focused on BBC. There are some scenes between MC and stepsister or the MC and secretary. A social media app is used to create "spicy" communication between characters and provide occasional sex opportunities. There is a large lack of video or image content for the other kink content (i.e. BWC, Group, etc.).

There are so many missed opportunities to add good sex scenes or realistic drama into the story. However, it plays out exactly as you can imagine with no surprises. While you, as the MC, are controlling corruption through a phone app, other characters are doing the same to the characters you are trying to control. This works to undo the effort you put into corrupting a woman, either to have sex with her yourself or turn into a slut.

The latest update is focused on sissification. If you choose to avoid the few pieces that are avoidable, of course, the content available to you will be limited.

If BBC NTR is your thing, then this game will likely be high on your list and explains the number of five-star reviews with no attempt to explain what content is available. It is completely fair to say this game is a skip for most players outside of the BBC fan club.

Very addictive, nice possibilities, expect that influence on branches will raise with time, so far excellent job. Well written, nice options, and yeah some things are repetitive, but hey still in development. In similar stages usually devs offer way fewer options, so that's why so far 5 stars.

Loved the concept of game. Just that now it has too many branches to follow makes it a bit more clunky and there are also some bugs in the game but still with these the game deserves a 5 star rating from me. Waiting for next update

This game is sensational, the amount of images that appear and the fact that there are no images of the encounters is annoying but the writing is so good that it stopped bothering me.

The updates are gigantic and contain a lot of content, but a negative point is the number of commands that are given to a person, as the command is only given a few times. Another thing is that it would be interesting whenever adding a person can have the same options as adding the son and Mia of increasing obedience, corruption, etc.

The whole game is played via your phone, you can play it on PC or in an Android device to give it more realism.

You are a successful man owner of a company in wich you are CEO, and you have a sexy and loving wife. All good by the start, but the plot starts to become more complex when you install the "wife spy" app in your phone, a misterius app in wich you can spy and influence and influence targets, your wife and other people, this will lead to more sexier stuff with your wife and other women, but maybe not all good for you in the long run.

Amazing game. Priority focus on NTR, but honestly has a good mix of all flavors. One of the very few games I support as top tier on patreon. It's that good. Huge monthly updates, keeps to schedule, looking forward to what happens next! Go support if you want to influence new content updates.

This game is basically a phone simulator with a good story and some hot pics/videos. It's a refreshing concept for me since I haven't played any games like that before. It targets a specific audience, so if you're into NTR, cheating or feminisation, this game is for you. It also features several romance options.
All of the branches are optional, which is a good thing. I enjoyed almost all of them though. If you don't like something, you don't have to do it. You can even put the branch on hold, and you won't see any of its events.
My main kink is feminisation, and the dev here is really good at handling that. You can feminise a certain character or even yourself. Keep up the good work, Bloody Ink! You certainly piqued my interest
