I'm starting to think about this in a slightly different way - the way Nika took the money was out of character. Consider the way he is so proper about the holy box of shame, accusing Nami of having no respect, same with Nick's motorbike. His whole character is reserved about belongings and hard work. He is not an opportunist, or chaotic. Even his mantra of actions having consequences goes against what he did.If you chose not to go on the heist, he still wants Bella to know, so he 'does the right thing' as he's going on the heist to make up for the asshole he was to her.I agree with everything, but the conclusion remains the same: she has defiantly broken the law several times, and with someone as persistent and determined to put her in prison as Ceril's big sis, she is heading straight there.
In context of this, the petty theft makes no sense. Regardless of the amount and the oppulent heirlooms, Nika is going against the rules that he tends to set himself. The same thing when he's looking at the decoration at the book club. It feels like an addition to make it seem like he's a kleptomaniac.
But maybe instead of it being a direct characterisation, Ocean is trying to show the vast divide between Nika and Bella/Mario's world. For Bella, she knows 9K is nothing. SHe drops 18.5k on the clothes, as well as buying dinner. She's acting on like it's a prank, like there will never be consequences. To some extent, Ocean is drawing the divide that Nika hates to put him firmly in the poor person who steals from the rich, 'after all, Mario can spare it'. Maybe the point of the scene is to set the difference in behaviours in our mind, in a short space of time, so the whole scene is less about what happens but how they react, how they act as an exposition.
Also, not saying there won't be consequences, but it's really a question of what Ocean uses the metaphors and subtext od thes scenes for.
Wow.The biggest possible spoiler was from Ocean, when people asked a question about Sasha’s romantic path. The meaning of the answer was something like that, in principle, it is possible that Nika will travel halfway across the country to see her. Which is clearly could be a spoiler, that at least Sasha is in some point in the story will be very far away.
The most important question is, what if this concerns everyone? What if Nika at some point in the story is forced to leave Wollust?
S1 Steam is the complete season. Ch5 Beta is a work in progress that was completed with S1 Steam.Summer's Gone [S1 Steam + DLC
Chapter 5 Beta
any difference between the two versions?
which is the most complete?
Some people are upset that there are things changed from the beta to season 1, but the dev has released S1 as the complete version of the game. If you want the lewds and penis scenes (less than one hand) you need ch4 or 4.5, or fiddle with 5 beta and mods. The only saves that will work with season 2 are season 1 though, so yeah S1 is the thing if you want to continue to game.
