Public release of 53 will be this Friday. If you want to get caught up as fast as possible I'd suggest playing 52.X until you get to the waiting room, saving there, and loading that save in 53.

you can replay any scene you already unlocked using the skill "reflect"l (and if you don't have it, is unlocked in chapter 2, roughly in the middle of the chapter, with a story event (so no fear to miss it). this mean you can see the art added.

Since I became a backer the only time I recall the public release being more than a week behind the patron one was 49, which was a giant open-world section that got further content added during that time (Sierra really doesn't like having more than one public release per major version).

Also Agro here you go: a near-optimal (or maybe even truly optimal) save from just before answering the Normal Little Girl's questions.

okay, please tell me about the mc, the player you play as, is it really the old man? because for whatever reason i got the feeling to just drop it as soon as the "Chosen" person i played actually died, may be becasue i was in a bit of a bad mood or cuz it is currently 3 am and just got annoyed.

is the game gonna do more of these fucking character swaps?? i really wanna avoid playing as a 50 year old man but i've heard it's a good game. still might drop before even giving it a chance

haha i feel you man.I remember trying out this game and going in blind. I was getting used to and relating to the dickish guy who was supposed to be the mc. I mean hes not a great guy but I love characters like rance who are such jerks. when i met simon i thought he was the stereotypical wet blanket old guy who will die quickly.That admittedly biased me against him. So i when i got to the part where the chosen died i was put off.I got too used to the character immediately.He was one of those characters where if you dont like him you will hate him.So i was shook and left.It actually took a year or two to come back to the game.By then i barely remembered anything other than the fact that the guy dies.I decided to check it out again for the heck of it.Since i wasnt so invested and knew the guy would die ,it didnt impact me much.Im glad I came back.The story is very well written.I can appreciate the bait and switch only after playing the game as before I was pissed.Trust me when I tell you the game is worth it. I suggest coming back in a while after the impact wears off.You need to play this game with an open mind and no bias(every game actually).Once you are sure you are completely neutral then I suggest that you check this game out.

Not to put you off, but the game is very long (kudos Sierra!), has a lot of intertwining parts, and a LOT of delayed consequences that you don't learn about until much later. It deals with a lot of politics, world-building, and trying to make everything more stable. If you're just here for porn then you'll have to earn it, but if you care more about solid writing and all the different parts of the world having an actual reason for being there, you'll enjoy your time. Combat can get pretty stale after a while, though, but you get like 20 different party members to combine, and later on they benefit each other in different ways when in the party together.

i think he can check out the first hour or two and make his impressions.That time is enough to know what kind of game this is .I was hooked and that was the reason I was able to play so long.Stating that its very long will put off anybody.You will need that hook to go through the whole game.

Personally, I was put off by the Chosen we got at the start of the game- just seemed like every other cookie-cutter H-RPG protagonist made before (and honestly, since). It was the fact that he died and we actually got to play as Simon that drew me in deeper; maybe I'm just a wheezy old fart, but it was nice to see someone who wasn't a hard-on with legs take the lead role for once (hell, take a lead role in anything, not just an H-game). Mind you, it might have been worse for my fap life in the long run, since every time I play an H-game I have the following image constantly in the front of my mind, preventing me from enjoying most of them out there:



Mind you, it also helps that TLS's characters are also, well, characters instead of caricatures. It's just really nice to have dudes who aren't just old perverts, comedy relief or love rivals, and women who aren't the same old tired anime archetypes with bulbuous bazooka bazongabaps.

When they start firing literal rockets out of their titties, we can start calling them literal bazookas. Tertia might have picked up that trick over her eons of goddesshood, but we haven't seen it. Lynine is just some elf.

we need to see the end resolution for the suitors (scores) and perhaps tyna coronation. i think will see alonon at least in that occasion.

I am not certain about that. Tyna has already been declared the future queen of Ardoheim. Alolon's death might speed the marriage but it won't affect the plot otherwise, so I am not sure if he is that important anymore. Thematically, it would make the most sense to say goodbye to him once Tyna gets married.

He might not be important to the plot when it comes to mortal matters like coronations and the like, but considering his insight into the more spiritual realms, it wouldn't surprise me if he's still got a part to play when Simon really begins meddling at that level. Even if it was just to say 'Here be dragons, don't fuck around with this shit'- I can't see Alonon just being put to the wayside after all he's done and been through.

vhala was thinking alonon will die AFTER tyna coronation and the safety for ardoheim. before that the country need the stability of the leadership. this can be easly "the end" of the game.
in the end of the confrontation in the outerspace at the end of the succession crisis section the party said "he his playing other games". so i think he will be relevant in some form in the future.
