This is genuinely one of the best games on this site and I love it so much, and I'm not totally sure what the future plans for this game are exactly, BUT let me be perfectly earnest and say that if the future will ONLY hold exclusive paths for different love interests then that will probably be a dealbreaker for me, as much as I hate to say it. Apart from juggling X different savegame paths, one for each girl, being a huge headache and totally ruins the pacing for me every single time I have to load up the game in an older save, and waste time doing the same core story again and again, actually the BIGGEST issue is that I genuinely can't stand having to turn down girls, it just breaks my heart and not in any good way. Even just the scenes with Gabby in the last two updates are killing me and are enough to negatively color my experience of the entire playthrough of those updates, although I can bear it if there's a prospect of it being fixable in the future so that's my hope for Gabby and for right now. It's like this for me: Are you telling me I would have to play a path where I turn down Nicki at some point just to get the full Gabby path? Obviously I can't do that. I simply physically can't do that to Nicki, that's how invested I get in these stories and I'd rather just give up on ever experiencing the rest of this game that I love than have to go through that ever.

And since this seems to somehow be controversial to some people, even though I genuinely can't see why, having all LIs in a single path doesn't have to mean it would make this a harem game. It COULD be a harem game, that's one way to solve it, but it's not the only way to solve it, there are basically infinite different ways to solve that "issue" and there are plenty of games that do that without being harem games.

I saw a few comments tangentially related to this and I just felt like I had to get this off my chest, maybe I'm totally off base here and if that's the case I don't mind looking the fool, I can deal with that.

Just want to say i start to really love that game. I get it why some loathe Nicki, but i just can't... just hope that doesn't bite me in the ass later.
And as this seems to not becoming a harem game after all makes it just harder to figure out how to go on with all the possibilities. A gallery would be really great, makint it eaiser to have different saves for different routes .. cause right now i have just too many saves already just to see scenes i blocked on my 'canon' playthrough.

Yes, in fact it should be a number of options. We're supposed to have a choice but the error is skipping it.

Honestly, Bare Witness is a shining example of why I *don't* want a harem path. The instant girls start getting harem content, their solo-path content winds up feeling underwhelming and incomplete. Mora's path in BW was almost embarrassingly spartan without all the orgy scenes to continue her story.

In theory I'm not opposed to partial harems as long as it could be done right and makes sense with the personalities of the girls involved (I could see Ashe being up for it, but not Carolina, for example). But in practice FIN already has so many girls and so many paths available for them there's no way it can ALSO do justice to a bunch of harem options. Better to leave that for a dedicated harem game.

There are faaaaaar too many LI's I'm interested in to be forced to reject all but one.

I get replayability, but I'm not playing a game 12 times just to see all the girls paths I want.
Especially with how many games come out each day that are vying for player's attention/support.

First played this game, its good. But Nicki is a no go for me, happy to have an option to at least not have a romantic relationship with her, she got railed by her douche bf, all that shit happened to her and then when she has no other way out she goes back to MC with some self pity to buy a emotional response from him and finally have a way out from her situation, wanting to date him and stuff. I know this is not just with her and that this is due to the nature of the game... but was "fun" to see as this really happens a lot in RL. In some sense i remembered A.O.A where most women had some shit happening to them.

This is what I mean. I can play games that have a singular LI just fine, they can be great. But if the dev is introducing all these amazing girls to me but telling me I can't have them all at the same time, the only thing I can feel is disappointment. I don't care if I have to cheat on them with each other or however they want to excuse it.

It also seems a little contrived in a game that has some pretty heavy maledom at times and pretty deranged kinks in the taboo patch but apparently convincing the girls to share a "dream guy" is beyond the scope of belief? But again, I'm not yet entirely sure if harem path is totally written off or not.

P.S. not every game needs a harem because stories with harem are always the same shit (Look at WVM)

I agree with your take on BW there, and that's why I ultimately choose to only play three main paths (MASH and the other two separate LI paths), since I feel like the solo paths of the first four felt unfulfilling in comparison with the harem one.

I will say that harem games absolutely can have conflict and drama (most of them do) and if anything, drama between or over potential LIs has to be the least interesting form of drama possible and I can't understand why anyone would willingly subject themselves to that. But that's just my personal opinion and I've said my piece on this matter already.
