Ya, already did that. Many times, as I already said. I ended up having to start the game over, it was the only way to get things to work right.

I ckecked the download files. But as J.R. already said I had no problems with the one on Workupload, the audio and the music folder are integrated there.

Hi. I am unfortunately not a pro on Mac systems. But I tried it now on my (very old) Mac mini, and first I had the same issue as you. But I found the problem: If you drag and drop all of my Mod files and all of my folders into the main game's ".../game/ folder, it unfortunately completely replaces the already existing subfolders "audio" and "images" with the ones from my Mod - and therefore deletes the images (and the original music tracks) in the main game! Not sure why it's doing that, as said I don't use Mac systems that often. It does not merging my Mod files/folders with the game like in Windows, instead it replace already existing ones completely
The solution for me was to first copy only the files and the folder "Music". And then copy the files of the subfolders "audio" and "images" into the similar folders from your main game. As said before do not try to copy the whole folders themselfs!
With doing that the game and my Mod worked for me.

Sad to hear that. The only thing I can think of is maybe you have the "PowerVR issue" some devices have with RenPy ports. Try to extract the Zip and move the file into the folder: \RenPy_Saves\com.koga3.guiltypleasure\game\
This enables some different GPU features for those devices.

It actually should work. Did you activate the "developers mode"? Then the game is also checking in a save if a music track is playing - and gives then an error when it does not find the file for it. You can ignore that message and play further.

No save was even loaded, this is right at launch, and when I looked into the mod files, your music variable was set to True and it was looking for the main menu music file.
I never touched the audio version... so even if I had loaded a save, it shouldn't be looking for music files
