I have played some of the demos years ago and was looking forward to this game. The first two levels were promising I hadn't seen them before and everything seemed to be in order. The game makes you think that there are lewd encounters alongside the lore-dumps and that there is going to be some interesting schenanigangs with your rival. On the third level the first inconsitencies appeared. I have played that level as a demo before and to me it seemed to be 100% the same.

Transitioning from 3rd to 4th level seems to have missing explenations. The 4th level itself was an absolute clusterfuck, the defeat scenes no longer narrated, hell, not even text (I could have lived with lack of voice actin), none of the encounters working. Entire conversations missing where you press "x" to continue but no text appears. The whole gameplay loop of a fine plattformer with the occasional smut and loveable characters got complete destroyed. I think i remembered something form a demo i played for that level, that i now didnt encounter in the main game.

The finale was fine, bossfight was alright, but none of it mattered as there was no reward for beating the game. The Ending i got (i believe ending #4) was some braindead story without CGs and smut that i cared about as much as I'd care about the lore of toiletpaper in that fictional universe. Difficult for me to understand how they said the game was ready to launch years ago when its clearly unfinished and rushed in its current state.

It was really promising in the beginning, i decided to give it a shot despite the mood in this thread- don't do the same mistake. Not worth it. Really disapointing.

And he could have put it out as early access and pulled the same card he has now with greater success. I don't believe the argument he made that steam denied the game, I think that was disproven by other game developers and steams approval process.

Considering he did cobble together the demos at the last minute once the steam approval went through: I do believe him now about being denied before. Not because of any error on Steam's part, but due to his own incompetence and user error when it comes to submitting the game. Then again looking at him blatantly lying about Patreon pledges makes me feel like a fool for trying to give any benefit of a doubt.

Things would actually have turned out better for him if he'd done this. He would have released it to a fanbase that wouldn't have been as jaded and critical, since they wouldn't have experienced the delays, lies, and shit he did over the last 4 years. Game would have been 5 years into development, not 9 to 10 years, so development time arguments wouldn't have had as much weight. The databanks wouldn't have mucked the experience up either. Removing another avenue of arguments critics could have made.

It would still have ignited controversy, but not to the level we've seen now. And he could have put it out as early access and pulled the same card he has now with greater success. Yep, but the main question of thread - "What did he do these 4 years?" remains unanswered. Some say he was to busy with "the lore", but this can't possibly explain everything.

Yeah, it feels like there is a lot of it in first two levels, because you stumble upon them every minute (sometimes even right next to each other), but if we look at the raw volume of text then he writes more on social media in a week. Missing text for sex scenes - I get it, at some point he realized his talent is wasted on porn, but then again - he could hire some freelance writer for 50 bucks and be done with it in a week.

But "serious lore"? If he cared so much about it, why would he miss huge chunk of it between 2nd and 3rd levels and abandon it completely in 4 and 5?

Played the game for the first 20 minutes now. Endless uninteresting text, lackluster H-Scenes and empty levels. If you change the movement keys from arrows to WASD, it doesn't change the cursor movement in the menu, which totally sucks and cannot be changed. The people waiting 10 years for the release of this trash and spent money must feel so good right now.

Anybody have a save that actually works and unlocks all the gallery?
Forgot to mention that the one posted a few pages back doesn't work past the first level. I'm also, all due politeness, not going to try to wade too far back for another one since that seemed to be the first and only post so far...

Anyone got a save file for a full gallery unlock? The one from October doesn't seem to work...

You guys went back a bit too far, although I probably could've said something in the post with the new file so it'd be easier to find.

Cleared first zone,it was a platforming borefest without any interesting enemy,boss scene CG was fine i guess
Then went to gallery and...dont think i like how any other regular mob looks
After a million years of development this is the final product?What are the stats we get from decisions even for?
Think this is a skip depending on how tedious this 2nd ice zone is

so anyone else notice that the game is incomplete? Found a scene in the Electric level with no voice acting, a difficult to reach room that literally said nothing was in it cause its a "demo". Also got the fourth level and there is legit no voice acting or even dialogue for the defeat screens so far (got to two of them).

Thanks! Super disappointed in the missing content like the corruption transformation animation from one of the boss fights..I still see the CG game over for it which is funny. 1.0 this is not. I wish the dev would have taken more time to complete it.

I just found Faye's Ice level sex scene. I can't understand why they wouldn't save them in the gallery?

Apparently you need to get 5 achievements in the ice level to unlock the gallery, same for each level.

If HW was serious about the game he would have been able to put it up as Early Access years ago with a polished version of the first level, then work from there until everything he wants has been added to get to the 1.0 version.

The early access titles I've bought worked that way, a more recent example is Gloomwood. I bought that the very day it went on Early Access and it only had the initial tutorial area, the mine area after the tutorial area before stopping at the area just outside of the mine exit. A little over year later and a lot of new areas, enemies and features has been added, while existing area and enemies got even more polish. It'll be getting another huge area soon with new enemies as well which would make the game around 50% complete.

I'm guessing HW doesn't want to do the Early Access model because that would mean that once people got the $20 threshold needed to get a Steam key, a lot of backers will likely stop there and just wait for the updates to come out on Steam.

His work ethic may not change much and the game may continue to fester in Early Access, but at least he no longer can make the excuse of Steam rejecting his game builds and critics can no longer use not having a Steam release as an angle of attack. And now that the general public also has a stake in this, at least there will be more pressure to actually put out something as it can bring in more accountability.

At this point though we are all digressing over what-ifs. The truth is it took 9 years to end up with a sloppy and incomplete release. No amount of gaslighting from you and other HW defenders would change that. I'm just waiting for the one month "soft launch" period to end to see if HW can make good on his latest promise.

Boy, Steam REJECTED the first attempt to get the game on Steam including it being EA because the game was already too far in development according to Steam's EA rules.

The game's launch may have been shakey but it's still more than many games on this site get. Perhaps you should give game development a shot yourself and create a game as complex as FF in a faster time than HW did. Remember, if you miss even a single deadline the project is a scam as pronounced by this forum.

Btw, the "1 month" thing is an estimate, not a promise. And what exactly DO you know of his work ethic?
