The installation instructions are a bit misleading. You do get an EXE file for Win here, but you cannot actually run it - unless you have a Java Runtime Environment installed. As I have no intentions to install Java, this means the game sadly remains unplayable for me...

And no, this is not so obvious. Other games being developed in Java get compiled into a stand-alone EXE files for Windows, like Lilith's Throne. If I download the EXE file there, I can play the game on Win without a JRE.

I think the installation instructions should state clearly that JRE is required to run this. Or better still, provide a compilation into an actual stand-alone EXE for Win.

Every time this updates, I come to look at it, but I can't help but think: "Oh wow, Newlife updated. What insignificant thing did the author add this time? The ability for your character to (do something insignificant that changes almost nothing about the game)?"

I am never disappointed because I'm usually right. I then write it off for 2-3 months where then I may see a new update that does almost exactly the same thing. Author's smart though; Large amounts of money are being poured into their wallet through patreon. Can't really fault them for stretching it out when people exist who are stupid enough to keep donating despite the lack of any real updates; It's free money!

you know
these updates would seem fine and reasonable...

if they were incredibly common, fast and close to each other.

but no
these updates are MONTHS apart
and what do they add or fix? sooooome...incredibly insignificant things that is hardly noticible.

i played the game when it was really early
and ill be honest...

it feels like its got the equivalent of like...1 real major update

but its been streatched over the course of months/years.

like they took the massive additions, broke them into tiny pieces

and sprinkle them in, bit by bit, over the course of months.

presumably to milk patreon for as much money as possible.

I mean, even a monkey can notice the pattern of this games development.
Add some minor descriptor to NPCS, and fill the rest of the changelog with talk about adding that minor descriptor's flags to every NPC. How big of a thing is it that a NPC's location description says "house" instead of "apartment"?
Honestly I think this game would get a loss less hate if a "mysterious modder" started dropping rape mods like that one lifeplay game did.

The game needs modding support so that actual modders will create for it.
This will not happen outside of a mod support method that SO can personally control. It would harm their ability to milk money from fool patrons. If people could freely mod content into this game, nobody would need SO.

I'm hopeful he'll know that modding communities always follow and respect the "canon" and do it one of those months. Even if he just made it so custom scenes can be injected organically that'd be huge for the game.

Anyone have a collection of the (few) NonCon scenes? All the discord links in the google sheet seem dead.
