Can someone explain why we are getting new trial versions so close to the release? It makes no sense to me. Why waste development effort on a watered down version of the game?
Because more delays are coming, you'll have something to do in the meantime. :ROFLMAO:

anyone know to fix this? I just got this error the moment i play story mode, please help.
Same problem here. Unfortunately it's a runtime error due to the newgame.ks script looking for something and not finding it. So without being able to read the code, there's no real way of knowing what the problem is, or if anything can be done locally to fix it.

Looking at the log file doesn't really illuminate anything for me either, but if anyone more knowledgeable feels like taking a stab at it, it's in the ./savedata/krkr.console.log file

It looks like the error happens while trying to add an event to the gnome cave as part of the new game startup script, in which case I don't think anything can be done except wait for the dev to fix it.

You do realize that "Baka" and "gokai shinaide" are actual words that are spoken by Japanese people and not just a pretend porn language that you goon to right?
You realize anything can become a buzzword, right? And that any word can be repeated ad infinitum by the same one character/person (among hundreds of thousands repeating it ad infinitum) until it loses all meaning, right?

Just like speaking in English, there's a difference between talking like a person and buzzword salad being half your vocabulary. The latter is just bad dialogue, no matter the language its in.

I'm someone with an actual interest in the deeper cultural anthropology of Japan, including anime. Actually know Japanese. Sat through 20k+ hours of anime from as far back as the 60s. It's like radio country/hiphop music being the same buzzwords over and over. (Truck, guns, streets, drugs, dog, wife, money, beer, god, etc.) Or commercial RomComs being the same thing over and over. Or commercial horror movies being mostly jumpscares.

The commercial shit for every genre of every medium is like this. Just the same easy, bare minimum beats. Over and over again. In every single release. That's all you'll find on the surface. You wanna find the good shit, you gotta dig. No subculture is the exception.

In the case of anime/manga/VNs/LNs, I've sat through the same stories and characters so many thousands of times. With my eidetic memory I can now predict how its gonna go down to exact lines of dialogue, when/how the camera is going to move, or that a new character will be introduced in the next scene and perfectly predict them down to their exact attire.

You want to be a movie critic? That involves watching at least 12 movies a week. And that's just part-time. Full-time with Anime? I averaged 150-200 episodes a week for a decade straight at one point. The shit you see really starts to blur together after awhile, especially when its similar.

I generally hate inaccurate translations, but this shit's become like Eldritch knowledge for me and every time a prediction comes true, I take SAN damage for my seeing powers. Aside from the dialogue, this game is shaping up to be really impressive. So, I'll make an exception just this once and swallow an inaccurate translation if it means my seeing powers won't be driving me insane as I enjoy an NTR blobber.

I just screenshot them, crop it down in Paint, and then upload the image to Google Translate. Google Translate has a tab for translating images, not just words. It can do Japanese pretty well as long as the Japanese isn't written in unusual fonts.

It's also how I've gradually been MTLing the Leane 2 light novel. The LN is honestly pretty good by smut story standards. It expands on the story a bit more and ties in the third act with the demons more into the first and second acts so it doesn't look like it's coming out of nowhere. The smut itself is also nice and has some good scenes.
any link or file with the novel?

I think having new demo that includes the voices is definitely something he had to do just for bug testing. Wouldnt want to release the game and then find out voices dont work at all or break the game. There likely might be some smaller parts still that do that but at least he now knows it generally works.
I also expect this trial to double as the free demo that will go on the DLsite store page, so I don't think this is wasted effort.

what i see is doujinshi not novels...you know novel - book...not manga?
On imhentai, typing "Leane" into the search will get you the manga adaptations of Leane 1 by Tendou Masae, as well as both light novel adaptations of Leane 1 and Leane 2 (haven't started translating the Leane 1 LN yet) by Kirishima Satoshi. There's three volumes of Leane 2's light novel and two volumes of Leane 1's light novel.

There should also be links on the game dev's blog to a storefront to purchase them directly if you wish to do that.
