He's saying it's necessary for the devs to take this much time in-between releases in order for the finished floor to have good writing, good CGs and not be a half-assed mess. By his logic any of the floors that came before (since this is the first time that it's taking the devs half a year to come out with a new update) must have bad CGs, bad writing or be unfinished trash.

I mean, to delve into technicality, the wording is more like a strawman.

People complaining about delays isn't bad, it leads to interesting conversations about what the devs could do to alleviate the wait times or avoid them altogether. What irks me, though, is people complaining about the people who complain. Now that seems pointless, and is what actually leads to the "attitudeposting" you're talking about.
Besides, there isn't a whole lot to talk about other than the delays right now, but if you wanna see another conversation taking place, I don't see why you couldn't start it.

Part 2 will contain the new content for Miss Claus, Khulan, Eliza, and Yvonne

Wouldn't it make more sense for part 1 to be Scarlett, Yvonne, Eliza and Khulan with part 2 being all the later girls? If we're supposed to start fresh for the new content it would be better that we can play a few floors knowing we aren't missing out on things we'll have to go back to/restart yet again. Then when we've had the time to experience that, move on to the later floors around the time that content drops.

Unless the content intertwines between certain specific characters and that's the reason for the order of release.

Is it really the same conversation every time? I haven't seen splitting the floors being suggested before. Not to mention we used to get no info whenever a delay was announced before, now Koda explains what's going wrong when he can. Besides, if no one even commented on the delays, do you think the devs would end up delaying updates more, or less frequently?

Reguarding the order i think that is based on 2 factors: giving expansion to newer characters and leaving characters with less inspiration for last such as khulan (koda mentioned that he feels like she didn't get the same "love" of others). Probably even the fact that Yvonne's update was the last expansion made her come into the second part.

If we go into technicality again, yes it is. That the conversation doesn't run on the same rails every time doesn't prevent it being the same conversation, unless we are being literal.

Besides which I'm not railing against suggestion comments, and it's great that Koda now reaches out with explanations, but it doesn't change or alleviate the delays issue anyway. It's just extra crowd control on top of that existing issue.

The final question is what I'm talking about initially. I never asked for no comments about delays, I asked if there was a chance that the thread might not keep falling into the same drama-cycle over the delays. A question which is now becoming another sub-cycle of that drama-cycle, which is probably my answer.

That's because when they give a date, they invariably miss it terribly. Hence the betting posts and the countdown timer debacle from last November.

No need to be literal, what you're describing seems to me like a different conversation, just on the same topic. I'd argue that whether the conversation runs the same course as the last or not should be one of your main indicators for wheter you are having the same conversation over and over, wouldn't you agree?

Like it or not, suggestion comments are part of the conversation about delays. Koda's explanations can also become part of the conversation, making it not run the same course as the last one, which was my point when I brought that up.

I'm not sure what you mean by "drama-cycle", if what you're talking about is the doomposting crowd saying that the devs are lazy and scamming people, then I'd urge not to see that as the entire conversation, because it clearly isn't. No matter the case, whenever you have a bunch of people discussing something, you're always bound to get some not-so-great contributors, and if you don't ignore them you risk steering the conversation in a dumb direction.

But as I said before, you can always start a new conversation with a different topic more to your liking, there's nothing stopping you. Like you pointed out, people who say they don't like it when the conversation is about the delays, are just continuing the conversation, and in a direction that I think we'd both agree is not as productive.

Im gonna guess lily is there because she is the only one (apart from karen) who has not had a full update by koda before, Cobras there because some of the content is the girls treating you in certain ways if you get drained to lv1 by her and scarlet is there because she has had the longest gap of nothing in terms of content and she is the first so thats what i think but idk for sure

Part 1 of koda's update is planed for the 15th of may, part 2 of koda's update will be with the 7th floor (stupid because there is no release date planed for 7th floor and if 7th floor is delayed further it could result in koda releasing it separately like he has done before)
