Are you using the compressed version? Multiple people have stated that they have a problem when playing the compressed version. The regular one doesn't have that problem.

kind of got a similar vibe from this game. Hope it makes choices that lead to different paths or outcomes like he said he'd try to.

I like the game overall, I really do. But the MC makes decisions (that are automated) so stupid I want to give him a second black eye.
