Name me one of the games which you think has a "better story", from the "bunch" that you reference, please?
I'd put a few on par with this, RA, Ataegina, CoBD...
Not sure I'd say any are "better" stories.

This has a lot of excellent story, as you say I challenge anyone to find a more impactful event/sequence than My Name Is Luna.

(2) When you talk about the new contract sytem you dislike (which is perfectly fine) you argue that "very, very few" people would like it. This somewhat clashes with what was said in this thread - I've seen quite a few people like it and consider it an improvement. That doesn't mean that you or anybody else has to like it, the 1 star can still stand, however I find it a bit misleading to claim some kind of majority here. Same for the "Let's all be honest" part referring to the same issue.

Nowadays I cant hang around much but people who love the new contract system are the majority like you said. After all this game is like "we wont give you rewards, you have to earn them" type of game and new contracts are very suitable for its playstyle. There are even esater eggs and secret renders in contracts, how cant this be an upgrade? There were people who didnt like contract system at first, but many of them later agreed that once the one get used to new system, it is far better than the old system.

(3) How did you come to the conclusion that a mafia game with capos going all the way from rollerblading, via flail wearing, to pretending to be karate nuns; a game with toddlers tormenting a poor Wilfred; a game with off hand dialogue about ice cream is taking itself "so seriously"? - I mean, you can still slam it: not well done, not fitting the mood, too many emotional ups and downs to be coherent, absolutely unfunny, incoherent characters, so again I do not want to diminish your 1 star conclusion - this is your opinion and as valid as anybody else's - but I do not get how you come out of this game and consider it taking itself seriously.

Come on, are you saying characters are not worth to take them seriously? Gottardo and Joey might have disagree with you

Reluctant Archon & Ataegina are both more on the mythical side.
As is Rebirth, although more horror associated.
All 3 have excellent stories. As do Sorcerer & Tales From The Unending Void, plus a couple more sci-fi types.

I didnt play rebirth yet but others have my full support (not that it would mean anyone to anything, but I wanted to support anyway )

Yeah, I do like mythology, crime, horror & sci-fi.
Think most of my books and films are in these genres, too!

Well, it's been over 30 years since I wrote any games in BASIC, so I guess I'm a bit rusty.

It does amuse me when people pretend to be professional game developers when they can't even use punctuation or provide a simple example of their work. I understand that NDA's prevent details being disclosed, but no game developer would ever refuse to point at a game and say "I made part of that". Even if it was an extremely bad game in their opinion, it could be used to show how much they have improved by pointing at a game they made and liked later on to show how they have improved.

I've never worked on a commercial piece of software, but I've coded, debugged, sworn at and threatened to murder the family of many millions of lines of code in many languages over the last 40 years, (yes I'm a old man), more than enough to know that although I could debug the volume of code in a project the size of this game in a few hours once I was familiar with it, I wouldn't have a clue where to start with the creative side of things.

Writing code is very easy, writing good code is harder, but having a reason to write the code in the first place is very hard. HopesGaming has infinitely more creativity than I do, and has quite openly admitted to having a limited skillset as far as that side of things is concerned. The creative side of things is by far the most important component in a game, code monkeys are 10-a-penny but people with a vision for a good game are not.

Anyone who thinks that 2 bug release in 2 weeks working on code that several other people wrote, (or getting the writers to debug their own sections of the code), has quite obviously never worked with code, (or code monkeys), before and can be happily ignored or made fun of by people with more than two brain cells.

Anyway, can we have a scene where one of the Dragons rides Floaty into battle next update please?

Didn't get an answer. Unsurprising, yet still sad.

A couple of more games with stories worth to read would be great but a man cant have everything.

Honestly, when I see a comment "with better story" I read the rest sceptically. I never read a story from an adult game before playing this game and regret instantly after trying to read it. DeLuca family was the game shows me there are stories worth to read in this site. No other game even come close to this games story except those 3-4 games you wrote before. So a criteria like "with better story" than DeLuca is an obvious lie in my eyes.

You know, this is just me thinking, but I'd actually love it if our MC gets to experience going on missions under command of each of the 4 Serpents (perhaps for some of them like "Serpent", more than once, to build relationship).

MC in mission under Gottardo:
Luna was pretty peeved off she couldn't join the Ombra mission, so perhaps she'll force Cordia and Wilfred's hand somehow to get herself to join with MC on this mission.
Of course, with Gottardo in command, things are way less organized and prepared (I have a feeling Gottardo just normally does things on a whim, without much preparation) resulting in huge chaos

Gottardo entering a room: (seeing Luna and MC with blood on their clothes and their faces, with enemies dead on the floor) "Little Lulu! Hope! How could both of you make such a beautiful mess without me being present! My heart is broken!! (feigns pain motion)"

Luna: "Oh come on, uncle Gottardo, you've already slaughtered twice as many as this number in the other rooms! Stop being so greedy!"

Don't know much about Cynthia all that much nor the 4th Serpent yet, but still, I admit they would be pretty darn awesome.

Considering Gottardo and Joey's appearances together in Blizzard Princess event, I actually wouldn't dismiss that possibility of Joey being in Gottardo's team along with MC and Luna.

I geniunely hope that event happens. Just before a mission would be great fun. I dont think it would happen when Wilfred or Serpent present but a sight of Wilfred looking everyone with his eyes clearly saying "unbelievable" would be priceless.

Please keep cool, if there were an answer to your question someone would reply. There are no known console commands for the game, so we cant help in that aspect. There were a save file in the older replies which just before Burn Down the Ombras contract. If you want to play game from start and cheat to just avoid money problems that kind of impossible right know (as far as I know)

The game gives you pretty solid evidence that he bats for the other team. So really just doing him a favor so he can be true to himself.

Plus technically, we've only banged his wife. Had some lewdness with the two sisters, but that's about it. Bit of a slow burn, but all good things in time.

Well, you didn't state that your PC crashed in your original post, so from your original post, it was really impossible to know why you need the money in the first place.

The thing is, this game itself is pretty straight forward for most part(as long as you follow the Journal's instructions), only things that are tricky are the contracts, and the guide for them already exists on the OP.

Use them to get through the contracts again, and use ctrl fast skip to finish these contracts faster and faster.

With DeLuca, it only takes a little grind in contracts to get through all events. It's when you try to store away money for the future (after maxing everything out) where quite a lot of grinding is required.
So for the money gathering, only advice I can give you is use control fast skip, and master the contracts as much as you can so you can complete them as quick as possible with repetition, cause there is no console code for money.
It really sucks that you lost your data, but it's the only way.

I think the Mission description would be:
Go to place A and return with B. Gottorda is leading this mission, so good luck with it.

After it I await a slight annoyed Wilfred whose "discipline" Gottardo. As well as Joey who disappeared in the middle of the mission, the usual Joey Gottardo Luna banter and perhaps another female soldier or capo (Lelianna) who arrive at the gathering and then turn on her heels after seeing Gottardo.

I don't say they are better or worse but definitely, they are amazing in their own ways, some with great twists, emotion, action, and of course scenes.
There could be more depending upon the genre preferred.
