Hi everybody..

I made a short renpy based fan-game which is called.. "Lisa's special day", LSD in short.
I am planning to make my own game in the near future, so I wanted to test my skills I learned so far (with my favorite characters).

Even though it is very short and a bit shy to call it a game, but I put quiet a lot of effort on it.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while I was making it. I used side images from the original BB but as I did not intend to make money out of this so I expect DS's understanding on this.. :)

Here's the mega link for download

If you like it, pls leave a comment..
But if you don't like it, just delete the game and never say anything, as I am mentally fragile :)
Great effort Mobum, R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Superb Job.

Aye Carumba....

235 pages of some of the best renders I have ever seen. Took me over a month to go through this entire thread from beginning to end (I was "enjoying" the quality of the work.). I think my favorite renders were of Lisa. I just like the sweet innocence of her. I really wish we could finally get the scene in the actual game where she loses her virginity to the MC. I think it will be beautiful.

*Sigh*

Maybe some day.

Other than that, most of the renders on here were wonderfully done and I commend all the artists on here for them.

I think if I had to ask for another request (besides the Lisa pregnant one I asked for before) was that there were a couple of pictures of a teenage Ann and Kira on here. I would like to see them maybe nude and maybe a little series where they go into the future and meet the others and have a little "fun" (Maybe that's how both of them lost their own virginity. To the MC. LoL).

Anyway....DEFINITY keeping an eye on this thread for more great artwork.

Nice work!

When using "point at" for the eyes (or anything else), I've found that DAZ often forgets to do it. I think it's whenever I enter numbers directly into any pose controls that move the eyes (e.g. moving the figure or posing the head) or the camera. But if I click the + or - on any of the camera's position controls, DAZ suddenly does its job and the eyes snap to the camera. I've made a habit of doing this to get DAZ's attention for each pointed-at object before rendering.
Daz not restoring "point at" correctly is a known issue which their developers have decided to ignore. My own suspicion is that it's an "ordering thing," since it works fine in some scenes and not with others.

Since I do a lot of batch rendering, where having it load up correctly without me having to +/- things is important, I tend to get everything positioned the way I want and if I'm doing it with "look at," I then go and "overtype" the values associated with the sliders. This makes the "manual" setting the same as the "look at" setting. Another option is that there's a product

that will do the "look at" processing automatically, _without_ using the built-in "look at" setting. Essentially twiddles the knobs to the correct values for you.

Guess I've learned my lesson by f..ing up this render. Never thrust your 3D Software to do things for you and always check before rendering. But I've had similar problems with Blender too. Its just a struggle for me to work with DAZ on a 6 year old system. I've had a complex dinner-scene on a boat with 3 characters where it would take 10 seconds just to move the camera and see the change in the viewport. Blender on the other hand has good performance but cannot build characters out of the box like in DAZ.

another topic: Fireflies, those bad ugly bright little pixels
I've seen some renders in this thread that have fireflies. I have tried various tools and filters to remove them and the best result I got was with "mcjDespeckle". In contrast to other filters in image-tools this one is specifically made to remove Fireflies.
What I like to do is:
Render at double of the required image-size (2160p instead of 1080p) but with less samples (I cancel the render manually when I think the quality is enough), then use mcjDespeckle, then resize to final size (1080p) and maybe do post-process-stuff if needed. The result should be a clean and sharp image without any fireflies. This should be faster then using much more samples on a 1080p-render. But what I cannot recommend is using mcjDespeckle on an image that will not be resized to a lower resolution, it will lose the fireflies but also a lot of detail.

I can only hope that the next version of DAZ also comes with an updated iray plugin that includes the Denoise-function NVidea has shown on YT, but I doubt it.

edit: @Rich, just read your post after writing this, that's some helpful info, thanks

You read my mind.. My second mini-project is about Ann and Kira's teenage story... (I have been already working on it..) But it will take some more time... :)

Your prom date Lisa is fucking pissed because you showed up in a rented tuxedo with a blue cummerbund after she repeatedly told you that you needed to make sure to color coordinate it with her ruby red dress. She even showed you the dress so you could match the shade of red. You had one job. So, yeah, she's pissed. Worst prom night ever. You won't be getting laid tonight.

As I'm sure you're aware, the fireflies are the result of iRay not having converged on those pixels yet. Longer rendering time would eventually fill those in. Whether you want to wait or not is another question. The "render bigger and then reduce the size" technique is one that I've seen recommended a lot - I've never been sure whether the extra time spent rendering more pixels pays off versus rendering the same amount of time on a smaller image, allowing iRay to spend more time on each pixel. But your mileage may vary. I will tell you that if you increase the amount of light in your scene, fireflies tend to be reduced - they tend to be particularly an issue where iRay is having to calculate "bounced light" as opposed to direct lighting. So one technique is to add lights to your scene and then, if necessary, tone it back down using the Tone Mapping settings to get the overall "exposure" you want.

Here I post a cross render I did looong ago, which I stopped at around 10hours of cooking. And it stil needed a lot more to look as it should. Still, it looks fair enough, and after all this time, I decided to post it lol.
Even tho it has women most know, just in case lol:

Sorry for the hold up with the Vicky stuff... I've been busy with other things and had to dump a load of renders because they weren't right. I wasn't happy with the location, didn't like just bringing her to the BB house, so I had to change location to her apartment. (Which meant I also had to find suitable assets).

Anyway I have a good few ready now but have some to do to make it all work together right. Here is a teaser though:

I should have a good few more in the next day or two.;)
