How to trigger family events

I can't find any family events, even special event like with bulglar dont appearing.

I can't play 0.53 and 0.55
When I try to play 0.53, the player will close itself.
The 0.55, all the pics are missing.
Please tell me how to fix either one of them?

Here is the 0.55 beta version under torrent
For startup problems :
Run "qspgui.exe" in the "EVIL 2 v0.55beta" folder
-> Quest -> Open Game (or Alt-O)
-> go to the folder "EVIL 2 v0.55beta\Evil" and choose "Evil2-spectre1viper.qsp".
At least, for me, it still works

As for the family events, I couldn't figure out how to start them.
I guess it will be in the next versions...

EDIT : my bad : the previous version of the torrent was missing some files.
I added a batch file (GO.bat) to make sure It start with the right version of qspgui.

0.55 is an update only. To open 0.53 you need to click on the QSP included then find Evil2-spectre1viper.qsp in the evil folder and select it. It worked for me

make sure you have the full version 0.53 , copy the Evil folder from 0.55 update inside, this works for me.

dont know how to feel about this game. mostly because it is a qsp one and i expected "classic" questchain sandbox (which i prefer)
here it is lifesim/datesim/management and rng-focused qsp.
it is fine for me to toy with it for a while (but given that i always cheat, ill reach endgame in those categories rather quickly)
(and apparently it is also VN? "a new random event/story with your family! Wrote a hopefully deep and emotional story" and im not a reader. not sure if most sbx players are.)
so id vote for expanding any scenarios event chains. and the story out of quests/tips/visuals not other way around. i remember there was something in the club. but unfortunately it was about 3 steps long.

To all the players who are having issues with getting the game to work:

• Evil 2 - 0.53 (full version - approximately 10 GBs) is required and must be installed first! Extract using 7-zip.
• Download and place Evil 2 - 0_55Beta.7z in your Evil 2 game folder, right click on the file, select 7-zip, select 'Extract Here', Overwrite all. If you aren't prompted to replace existing files then you did not install it correctly!
• The game will not work with other QSP versions! Use the version that comes with the game!
• The game is Windows only. If you use the game in a VM, you must select the correct video adapter in the VM settings in order for images and videos to show up.

I just tested the game and started a new game and had no issues.

If you are a new player to the game, the new family event/story is late game content. See this post for details on how to spawn the random events (5 random events + family event/story).

I want to try this game, but anyone can confirm if this game still has a anti-tempering on it ? I love being able to "mod" games that i play to add some nice personal QOL features or just remove or bypass some shitty features (Like minigames and low random chances).

I remember that Evil 1 always crashed if you even modified the QSP game, and i believe that Evil 2 had the same.

Never had anti-tampering and never will.

I am in the process of uploading a full Evil 2 - 0.55 Beta version. My upload speed isn't that great so it will take several hours. Once it has finished uploading, I'll post it.

FYI - I don't have edit rights to the OP. All changes have to be done by moderators or uploaders. This makes updating the OP difficult.

I noticed one bug when I started a new game. If you live in the dorms or an apartment, the status screen (bottom right corner) often is blank. I fixed this in the full 0.55 Beta version that I am uploading. The workaround to this is clicking on the Clock icon which will refresh the status screen.

I'll go ahead and post this. Just replace your current files but back them up first just in case.
