I guess, you should have just realized that this game does not provide the elements that are essential for your enjoyment, hence should find it elsewhere, rather than try to square-pegged this game into what you perhaps might like but will most certainly not satisfied with how much enjoyment it gives you. I am not sure it's me or the twins patch again. The first time the gallery unlocker interfered with the twins patch and the gallery became mess. That's why I deleted every entry from the game and start it from the scratch at version 0.8. That gave result and finally the gallery was OK with 19 unlocked scenes and 4 locked. Patch was installed per instruction. I did installed the twins patch as per instruction with the new 0.9 version and everything seemed to be OK till the moment when the new scene had to be unlocked in the gallery. It unlocked on position 21 and not on position 20. Am I missing a scene or something broke again?

I think I see what the issue is there and it looks to be an issue with how the patch has been implemented (not your fault, but the way it has been created). It looks like the scenes to the left of the one you circled is the patch scene and the one you have circled is that variation of the scene without the patch. So to unlock that at the moment, you would potentially need to remove the patch and replay that scene!

You mention Gina vs Leyala's past and how Gina's is more hard-hitting/developed at the moment. As throughout the game, we will have less time with Gina when compared to Leyala, we wanted to establish the details of Gina's backstory a little more quickly to set her up going forward. That and it was somewhat relevant to the main story at that point of the game.
For Leyala, her backstory will be explored further in an optional path with her later in the game, but as we have so much more time to discover her, we didn't want to reveal everything about her immediately. We will also learn more about Atlas. Hopefully, that alleviates any worries you may have had

Off course Gina's (and other Terran NPCs & Harem members) story have to be uncovered early while the game is still in the Terran Realm (first out of seven) as we would probably see her less and less or maybe none at all as we move on to the other realms. It's not like everyone can move between the realms as they pleases. Atlas is the Prince, he surely can and most likely he will bring along Ley (and a couple others) but he definitely will not bring his entire possessions, close and extended families, friends and pets to the other realms as well
And, the opposite is also true. Why are there no story for X (NPCs & Harem members from other realms)? Well, it is because the game is still in the Terran Realm. Those characters will be explored when we move on to the realm they living in. They can't just travel between realms and pops up in Atlas house just to say hi let's fuck (obviously Septcloud can do that but then it wouldn't make any sense, it turns the game that is lore focused into just porn 'Meet N Fuck' game).
At least for me (and most players I believed), it is quite straight forward. The last version I played was v0.6.1 and yet I don't have the FOMO feeling.

It worked in a way but the last 2 scenes (the twins patch scenes) had the default image in the gallery till I replayed them.
Thanks for confirming. We will add a couple more gallery scenes in the base game over the next few updates that we hadn't initially mapped out. We'll see if that fixes any issues. This seems to happen for some players, but not all, so I'm unsure what causes that to happen at the moment.

this is a serious question but, does anyone feel like the leads just get less likeable? for instance Atlas was a fairly affable asshole sure but, he was still charming. now though it feels like he and the others just aren't. there's not really a good way to describe it but, it went from enjoyable assholery to can someone please just punch him and Naya in the face. (which all things considered I doubt would ever happen)

I think you are in a different mindset.
Considering they have to run all the realms I think they are about the right level of asshole to deal with what they had to face so far.
Naya is only 19 and basically been told she has to lead all the Werewolves and will never just fit in with them being the ultimate alpha.
On top of all that th bond she had with Kali now extends to 2 other people so her whole world was thrown upside down in a couple of days.
Atlas has a rebelion to put down, found out his mother figure is still alive and nearly killed herself breaking the bond to his father figure because she didn't realise she was birthing twins, also found out 2 of his bond mates are his father figures actual daughters. Then he found out his father figure had been some witch vampires bitch for years and now he's got to clean up the mess everyone else has made.
I think, all things considered, they are probably less asshole like than some of us would be. If I was one of those girls, i'd be PISSED.

The twins patch scenes were unlocked as normal scenes and among the others. As soon as I unlocked the scene with Kali and Naya from version 0.8 the gallery rearranged and the twins patch scenes went at the end of the gallery. I used a second copy from which I removed the patch to unlock the scene. Nevertheless the twins scenes were removed and than added at the end of the gallery when I started the copy with the patch. Probably this rearrangement caused the glitch with the gallery images of the twins scenes. And as the things are right now with the scenes from version 0.8 the rearrangement is inevitable. All the scenes from version 0.6 were playable with the patched version and there was no problem. If there is no other way to resolve the issue with this transition from patched to unpatched version and back, all the scenes should be playable with the patch or in case such as from version 0.8 the twins scene should unlock also and the other scene.

I think, like Avaron1974 said, the slightly more serious note the MC and sidekicks have taken on is likely contextual & to do with the added pressure.
The internal conflict Naya is going through is written out in her dialogue, in-game.
Now she's taken over the US and become the top Alpha, I expect her to take some time to adjust to the weight of power & responsibility.
MC has (effectively) run things for a good while, in the King's mental absence, so that aspect doesn't change, but now he has people he cares about & I think that's what alters the equation for him, too.
Makes him act harder\colder, because he's now afraid of losing them. He has to push them to their limits, in order for them to succeed.
