Can anyone explain the "Per x Performed" punishes abilities? Like, what does Rising Publicist actually do?

I need a bit more to know what you mean but rising publicist is pretty simple, decreases the disgrace of the forsaken using by 2% each time, meaning it’s one of the few ways to reverse disgrace on a forsaken

Havent been able to find a page where this is referenced, but is the Causal Projection upgrade broken or do I just not understand it correctly.

"This adds a Retreat option during battle which ends the fight prematurely, but grants +1 Evil Energy for every five full surround or capture turns added up among the Chosen." <If I surround "axiom" for 2 turns at the beginning, "prayer" for 3 turns with a commander, then "fury" for 2 and "axiom" once again for 3 , i should get 2 EE. Correct?

The reason I ask is because I'm getting none regardless of how many turns theyre surrounded.
(side note: im very early in, prolly not even past loop 1)

The basic game mechanics are explained in text files in the game folder, but I also found this guide to be helpful.

The game is basically all about racking up the multipliers due to the exponential nature of trauma and circumstance levels, but you need some days at first in the loop to setup battles with longer surround chains.
Oh that's super helpful thanks.
I was able to sorta stumble ahead a bit more alone (after several failed attempts at making a not-useless commander lol) and get a chosen to make 2EE but that was about it.
But that openings explanation makes things make SO much sense. I was wondering why sometimes I couldn't go past opening 1~2 and sometimes they seemed to randomly shoot up to opening 4+.

The text files are also great help. Can't believe I missed those lol.

I think it's just a misunderstanding, it's not cumulative like total amount of surround turns over the course of the battle, it means in that moment.

ie. If you surround or capture Axiom and she has 5 turns left of being surrounded, you can "retreat" ending the battle early and getting 1 free EE.

-Surrounding Axiom and she has 10 turns left and you retreat you'd get 2 EE

-Surounding Axiom and Prayer at the same time and they both have 5 turns left you will get 2 EE for retreating

like this kind of way, hope it helps and your first loop goes well! :D

I think I've hit upon a bug. Faith is hitting 10k circumstance damage in INJ, but her tier 1 break isn't happening. I'm not exactly complaining since I didn't WANT to break that yet, but it feel a bit weird that I can sodomize her without triggering Violence or Begging beforehand. I mean, that's not supposed to be possible... right?

It depends on how faith reached 10k INJU, did she reach it from a specialty commander or a forsaken? If so then that's normal.

If she reached that from just you surroundong her, then that's definetly a bug and you should post your save so CSDev can take a look at it

been about a year, so i forgot how to play this thing XD. how do i quickly get girls to produce more EE? i sit on 3 per turn till at least turns 12-15. only after that i can accelerate somehow. basically what i want is early game roadmap, after that i should manage i think.

To reiterate at which days i shold be able to break vulnerabilities? is it possible while you only fighting 1 choosen and no one else i there? is it possible when there are 2 by exploiting extra surround condition? what is a good commander config to rush? stuff like that

How do forsaken raise punisher percentages?
I’ve never really quite been able to figure out how to use forsaken effectively, as while they can do a lot of damage, you can’t do much to the other chosen while the forsaken is busy.
Okie, I'm finally home!

Oh when I mean that I more less in a similar vein of using a specialty commander, although they have a lot more nuance and utility than a specialty commander.

Imo, the best way to use forsaken and have a plan for training or using them well is to contextualize what you want them to do and what they can do to make your work easier, which is just a fancy way of saying to give them a sort general purpose or "role" for them to do.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

So let's apply this to your earlier problem of raising punisher % for hypnosis quickly.

"What kind of tactics do I know so far for doing this well?"

-We know higher pleasure will give higher % for fantasize so we should have a forsaken that can do that well, picking a good candidate and corrupting best to suit that role, maybe distorting them with Negotiation or Temptation for a Pleasure bonus would be good.

-Another good tactic is an orgy, which we can use a forsaken for that also, either using high damage output, or using an aversion distorted forsaken with her unique defiler to cause a orgy easier (albeit weaker)

So now you have you have potentially two different routes you can train a forsaken, with the main objective of their role to farm fantasize %.

-Find a good candidate

-corrupt them to do the role as best as they can

-train them to the level that we need to do the role properly

Doing so and following either of those tactics will not only do what you're asking for, but you will also have:

-A forsaken that deals extreme pleasure damage

OR

-A forsaken that helps you do orgies easier and more efficiently

Either way you have a forsaken that can help you with not only this problem, but potentially more now that they're all trained up. Combined with my earlier post about using the respective punisher for raising punisher % you can apply a lot of that logic to a forsaken made for that sort of role, with the trade-offs and benefits that come with it

Tl;dr: Try to think of a role for your forsaken to do and make your campaign easier. Once you do, corrupt them for that role and train them to do that role as best as they can. And have a good pool of forsaken that allows you the utility to try something else if a specific tactic or plan you tried isn't working out.

Sorry that its a bit long but hopefully it helps more than it confuses

It's just from me surrounding her. Should I include a step by step guide to recreate it?
In that case that a step-by-step guide would be really helpful ty! :D Just attach your save with the post and CSDev can take a look at it and figure what's happening no problem

You know since we were on topic of undead chosen and if they die they could come back. How about also chosen that run away. Maybe they get "blessed" and become a lot lot strong or maybe just come back as superior chosen in other loops.

So uh.. started a new thing and tried following the guide from the start. Holy shit that was WAY more effective than I expected.
Side note, what's the difference between campaign and single play?

Alright, here's the save file and a quick guide to the bug. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but Faith IS a Custom Chosen.

To elaborate on my post above asking about early game road map. My next run situation is: Turn 24. 160/300 timers. i can make commanders with any of 4 breaks. can have 2 of them installed. have ambush on/off option. 5 turn capture 2 times. and have enough evil energy to make maxed commander with all options that i have.

Pretty bad by my standarts =) Especially if you broke Reaper's minor T2s not intentionally. Or is she prebroken? I thought first loop doesn't have prebroken girls. But with that commander you can easily break all T2s withing couple of days. That's strange that you still have so many T1s unbroken, do you use defiler commanders all the time by any chance? I did the same mistake at first. Just use normal commanders without any upgrades, they are way better since you can attack girls while they hold them. Upgrades have their use, but only when you have a clear understanding what you want out of them.

Reaper is prebroken (also have no idea why those breaks are bad). and i generally have no idea what am i doing. that's why i asked for a road map - since i want to know by which day i need ~ what. as to know where i am loosing tempo. and yep, i am just generally using defilers as general way to do something with a girl while i work on others. but then again - as i was saying - i am clearly missing some way to break girls early enough to get their points. or just to get some circumstantial multipliers. as i am bad at working them by hand. Basically there somewhere is fundamental misunderstanding about how this game works.

5 days later - as a measure of progress.

For Chosens to become enemies, do you have to keep the minor vulnerability unbroken all the time, or do you just need to keep it below the broken tier of the core vulnerability?

They are not bad necessarily. When you break minor vuln before breaking core, you make those girls friends so they arrive earlier to the battle and the event of their friendship gives less EE. When you break core vuln before minor you make them rivals so they arrive to fights later and give more EE for rivalry event. So unless you intentially want to make girls friends (for forsaken bonuses, for example) it's better to make them rivals, thus breaking core vulns first.
am just generally using defilers as general way to do something with a girl while i work on others
That's the thing. You waste a lot of circumstance damage with weak commanders. So you should use a commander without any upgrades and work together with him, also commanders without upgrades can catch multiple girls at once, intead of one by one with upgraded commander.
do you just need to keep it below the broken tier of the core vulnerability?
This. Actually, you don't need to keep it below, just break it after you broke core. They can have the same lvl of breaks.
