Because not every game is designed like a 5 year old putting together a 10 piece block puzzle. Some games are designed more organically and predicting % slices of their development scale wouldn't be a reasonable or honest thing to do for them in the first place.The reason people are complaning about not every game using 1.0 as complete is because it makes no fucking sense.
it's like instead of saying my grade is 100% I say my grade is at 869% why the fuck don't you I just say my grade is at 86.9% instead of making a fucking puzzle? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also dev's don't need to cater to the lowest denominator of morons on the internet with their version numbers just b/c some people are ignorant. There are more standardized ways that version numbers get updated in the industry.
How much mental hand-holding does the average person of culture need. Apparently some of them need AND expect a ton
