Overview:
Emily Does It All is a college slice of life game in which the player can influence Emily's decisions regarding her love life. Players will have the ability to guide Emily's choices as she navigates a complex series of relationships. There's her friends-with-benefits relationship with Nick, her friendship with prim and proper Claire, her neighbor Luke who harbors a crush for Emily, and many more. Told in an episodic manner, Emily Does It All follows a flexible, loosely, serialized story that centers on Emily's exploration of her sexuality and college adventures.

I want to be careful how I answer this. There's a couple different opportunities for what players may/may not consider "cheating". Emily will have the opportunity to have multiple lovers, but whether or not that's "cheating", that may depend on a variety of factors.

The throuple will be at the core of the game/season 1. I hate saying "season 1" because that implies a season 2, but we definitely have an end point in mind. So don't expect this game to meander indefinitely. And yes, it was important to us to tell a sex positive game with a FMC. Emily is not written as a delicate flower who doesn't understand sex. She's a smart, confident, woman. Players don't need to worry about a character that doesn't know how to hold hands or will feel conflicted about kissing someone. This is college, let's have some fun.

Assuming this isn't a typo and that you really meant ffm or fmf, then the answer is: both. Based on player choices sex scenes can have slight variations. I don't want to promise that they'll be radically different, but the plan is that there should be some variance that will result in unique content.

im not to sure about this novel yet!!!! if this is going to be choice based novel then why do we only get two choices in the alley to either have nick go down on emily or have sex, they might be friends with benefits but that does not mean they always need to do something sexual, so far it looks like nick is bit of a predator when it comes to women, surely emily can't be that nieve not to see it and always end up doing sexual activities with nick, will there be any chance of a lesbian relationship?? not just a threesome but an actual lesbian relatonship/flings, the story line of a FMC in college is great, makes a change from the normal MC you always see in college based novels, ill definetely keep an eye on this one to see how it progresses, i hope if you ever introduce Netorare it can be avoidable, hate that when the characters are in a more serious relationship and you get forced netorare, lets see what happens in future updates

Thanks for the feedback!

  1. From a very practical standpoint we wanted to keep the coding for episode 1 "simple". This is our first time doing anything like this and we need to keep things manageable while we build up our skills. The absolute last thing we want to do is get too ambitious and have the game collapse because we can't manage all of the routes.
  2. I'm sorry you felt that way about Nick because that is not our intention. We fully intend on Nick being a likable character who has his flaws but also has obvious strengths. He will never be a predator. As a woman who has dated guys in their early 20s, we wanted to present a realistic portrayal of dating a guy who's 22. He's flawed, he's attractive, and he isn't too serious, but he's a fundamentally good person.
  3. Nick is a central point of the story for the foreseeable future. We know that can be a contentious design choice for games like this, but again we need to try and keep things on the simpler side.
  4. As for lesbian relationships- that's a complicated answer. The short answer is: yes. Our goal is to allow players (starting in episode 2) to explore Emily's bisexuality. As the season goes on, players will slowly be able to influence Emily's interest in women. However, don't expect a full lesbian-exclusive path. While we haven't ruled anything out exactly, right now we're leaning towards the idea that Emily will always have some level of interest in men.
  5. Oh god, NTR. We fear the NTR debate. We have no intention of making a game that leans on feelings of jealousy. Are characters likely to have some jealousy? Sure, but that's just human. But we don't want that to cross the line. We intend on showing sex positive relationships. Don't expect monogamy from this game, but we don't want that to become NTR.
