Look forward to the update. Hope towards the end there is a Linda twist(think that is her name girl who has to die). Like actually she is mother. I know don't start wasted theories. :cautious:

I’ve said this here a bunch of times. MC can’t be the perfect alpha male from the start if I want to show progression in his personality change. Don’t like it? Fine... But the way he is, a regular ordinary guy, maybe a bit “beta” sometimes, is totally intentional.

I’m almost sure that if I explained it inside the game and you didn’t get it, you won’t get it here either, but this is mostly for others more than for you. Yep, MC can die as a result of bad decisions. This decision, the moment you volunteer for something you have no idea what the consequences might be, is the first sign of that.
First, before you make the choice it’s warned that it’s important. If you don’t volunteer nothing bad happens to MC. If you volunteer, even if you retract, there’s a 50/50 chance of dying... Why? Simple. If you volunteer without having a clue, knowing you’re involved in something dangerous, it means you’re not thinking straight, you’re impulsive... Time goes by like nothing happened, but when Ronald is “eliminating” the girl, MC, thanks to the fact that you turned him with YOUR previous decision into an impulsive person, might try to throw himself at Ronald and die... or maybe he won’t and everything goes on. It’s YOUR fault.

Really we don't think the same way , at all
Dunno if MC will evolve, but he's a child during all my playtime, don't take decisions, no leadership, isn't even able to fend off alone the 2 nymphos jumping on his dick, etc etc
And isn't the MC supposed to win by getting points ? And Jordan does volunteer, so that was the right way to get points!
Plus aren't we in a dangerous reality show anyway ? So if your answer to any important choice is "eeek idk what this is I'm afraid I won't go", you're a loser
But really what pissed me off the most is the ridiculous death sequence, wtf would Jordan (or anyone else) throw a 5t rock on MC when he wants to intervene, as he's harmless to him anyway ?
And what's the point of the automatic retracting that just means that you're never a volunteer but will die if you wanted to be ??
To me that's just bad design, got a game over and will stay with it, just lost 1h or my time with this idiotic MC - already, him going to this show to get money for a vet clinic is ridiculous as well
But I reckon I was quite angry when I did the review, and have to admit the game is technically well done, pics and animations are good, scenario is still better than 80% of VNs, and it's decently written, maybe it's worth 2/5

Yeah, earning points... by competing. The competitions start on the second day. The decision is part of the day 1 content. You guys are way too used to games where choices don’t really matter, where all you get is a tiny change in dialogue. This is what happens when decisions actually matter...
The warning is pretty clear. Here it is, exactly as it shows up in the game:

"This is another very important decision. I advise you to save the game to avoid regretting it later.
Starting from Version 0.6, the previous warning, when the two girls were harassing you, and the current one, will disappear completely.
For your own safety, you should always save the game before making any decision... Now let's continue...
"

The content of each choice is also clear:

"Okay, as I said, you have to take risks. I’m volunteering."
Pick this and it triggers the variable that might get you killed a few minutes later... or maybe nothing happens.

"Volunteer without knowing for what? No thanks... I’m not that dumb."
With this, you turn down volunteering and nothing bad happens. I think it’s pretty obvious that stepping up as a volunteer isn’t a good idea.

Actually, even before that, MC meets Kaoru. She can see the future and asks MC to think before acting. This is part of the dialogue between Kaoru and MC:

kao "Please promise me you won't do anything without thinking twice, no silly stuff..."
mc "Hah... You know what you're asking for?..."
mc "If I had done that we wouldn’t be talking right now... Sometimes you gotta take risks..."
kao "Mhmm... It was worth a try... You’re still very impulsive, and that can lead to terrible consequences."
mc "Life is always like this, and I’m not denying it’s even more complicated in here..."
mc "But I insist, if I had stopped to seriously think about it, you’d still be with that jerk."
mc "Unless, I don’t know, you’re seeing something specific that could get me in trouble?"
kao "No, nothing specific... I just see a very blurry time frame. If I look again, I see nothing, just emptiness..."
kao "Something’s gonna happen to you, but I can’t predict it. Not yet... I don’t even see it as a memory."

That happens two minutes before you have to make the decision...

To paraphrase you... thanks to your decision, MC can be a living loser or a dead loser. I guess if he doesn't die, he is not a loser? :D

Did you know there are two different paths? In the other route, which is completely different, you don’t even see this scene?

The F95 review system is useless, and I guess we all know that. But still, it’s kinda disheartening to see that I’m offering something different, where there aren’t many choices for now because I really want every decision to actually mean something, to really matter... and then when people run into that, they complain... :ROFLMAO:

I like the concept so far, but are there not some tags missing like "superpowers" and "harem"?
I don’t control this post. I’m pretty sure the Harem tag used to be there, maybe some mod took it off. Either way, like I said before, there is a harem, but you don’t get to manage it, it just happens to be there. This game’s not about managing a harem and never will be. Maybe that’s why someone decided to remove the tag. People looking for that kind of game might not like it.

I understand, but still i think i would fit. I played this game as v0.1 and after that lost it, and searching proofed hard because of the missing tags... :)

I won't argue more about how the choice is presented, and funnily I chose the "bad" one just because I was fed up of those "warnings", by pure contradictory spirit ! :p
But don't you get that in a VN , a decision that just gives a game over 3 minutes later after like 1hr gameplay is *not* a good idea ?
What about making a die roll at some point, with instant 50% (or 25%, whatever) "Game Over" chance ? Would that look good to anyone ? But that's essentially what's done here...
An VN decision should influence the story, for better or worse, but not end it, unless the game revolves around replaying - which is not the case here
I cannot rate highly a game -even if well done with love and dedication - with a super long 1st day of following the story of a blueballed stupid teen that clearly shouldn't be there, with tons of lewd dialogues but 0 lewd action, that can end very prematurely half of the time because of what you've decided to be a "super bad" decision
Sure this stupid end isn't a big deal, I could just replay, but according to everything I saw, I'm not really interested anymore...

Maybe I would've had something interesting to say three weeks ago when that happened... But now it's pointless.

Oh, actually, I lied, I do have something to add. The changelog for version 0.4b clearly says the MC can die if you do something stupid, and that was also mentioned here on February 3rd. Funny thing is, not a single one of my Patreon followers, paid or not, has ever complained about anything.

Bye :giggle:

is no one updating the game here anymore? :(
Patience. Version 0.5.5 will be posted here when 0.5.6 is released on Patreon.

For everyone who’s not a fan of Patreon, maybe you’d be interested in an alternative?
Just one purchase on ITCH and you get all updates as soon as they’re available until the game is done, no extra payments.

I’m aware of where I am, but hope is the very last thing you give up... :HideThePain:

A quick reminder, just in case. The current version here on F95 is 0.5.5, but it’s not the latest one. The actual current version is 0.5.6 and it’ll be released here on F95 when version 0.6 drops. For now, you can find the current 0.5.6 on Patreon (for Premium Viewer tier and up for the moment) or on ITCH. Here are both links:
