???I'm a bit baffled by the massive personality changes in the MC, is there a reason he goes from one extreme to the other? Nervous and childish to rapist in the next scene. Not enjoying the complete lack of any kind of meaningful control and the really confused dialogue. Throughout there's moments that just make no sense, the talk about shitting herself during the scene with Emma and other weird moments like we're going to be naked as a power move, just make no sense. Why is that there?
And in the Asami sceneno means no, repeatedly pushing someone for sex when they say no is rapey, and not being able to choose is a weird thing to be playing and totally removes any sense of sympathy with the MC.
The personality shifts have a reason that’s made pretty clear in the game. Not getting why is just a sign you’re not paying attention... The "Megan" effect.
Same thing happens with that other part, the whole forced situations thing... First, MC doesn’t have sex with Asami. Either way, MC gives her plenty of chances to back off. She went up to the second floor on her own, to the bathroom, nobody forced her. She agrees to everything after that even with MC pointing out that she could’ve left at any moment, or even attacked him (Asami could easily wreck his balls anytime, she’s a skilled fighter). Same with Megan (sex). She stays in the bathroom even though she could’ve walked out, later MC asks if she wants to leave and nothing happens, no hard feelings... and she stays.
Anyway, in version 0.5.6 there’s a scene from another route that clearly shows Asami never had the guts to do that kind of stuff just because of fear or embarrassment. But deep down she’s always wanted to try... That’s why she never leaves the bathroom and never really opposes MC at any point.
Sometimes it’s hard to understand some things when you only see part of the story... especially when you’re not paying much attention to that part of the story xD
Yep, in real life, in a real context no means no. And this is a game, and in the circumstances inside the game a No is worth as much as the person it’s said to... it can mean a lot or it can mean nothing. You’re seeing what MC, a good guy, can do in some circumstances.
Maybe this game isn’t for you, because this is just the beginning...
