The update is a patcher and requires the original japanese game to work. Won't work on the Saikey version.

I played through it, it is excellent for his first game but you can tell it is his first game. Disclaimer I never played the original version, but the art is his modern Kaede style, the voice acting is superb and I can't believe the original never had a recollection room. The greatest problem is the story which he has not changed from what I have seen of his comments. If you have already played it, I would assume it's not worth playing it for better art and voice acting since the story was weak.

Protagonist has cuckold fetish, arranges for wife to stay at a both gender inn and literally just hopes she gets NTR'd. The amount of script dedicated to his thoughts must be 5 lines. It is hard to insert at a protagonist who literally doesn't do anything, say anything or think anything.
