So, I'm a big fan ot erotic mind control, though I have my own set of idiosyncratic preferences within the fetish/genre. I'd like to maybe make a mind control game some day, or at least do some art with a mind control theme, so I wanted to ask a few questions for fellow EMC fans and also reach out to non-fans as well.
1st, what for you is the biggest turnon or appeals to you most about erotic mind control?

2nd, what kind or type of control do you prefer to see? Gradual slippage into complete submission? Instant control? Hypnotic trance? Intuitive control, where the subject generally behaves in a manner consistent with what the controller wants? Telepathic commands or explicit verbal commands? Does the subject remember what they did? Are they aware or unaware of the control? Do they rationalize their behavior after the fact or does it remain a mystery to them?

3rd, how do you want the mechanics to work in game? A minigame? A gradual progression of player ability? Consistently effective, or with effectiveness determined by different factors? Just handled in story with no real mechanics?

4th, what kind of scenarios, tags and fetishes do you like to see in mind control games?

5th, does it matter who is doing the control? what kind of MC do you want as the controller?

For non-fans, just two questions:

1- The ability to "use" her without her permission. If she would already permit it without the mind control, there would be considerably less turn on. (Ya, I feel a bit guilty to be aroused by that )

2- Gradual is much better. Trance where she is not exactly herself but also not an empty shell (but the empty shell may be not that bad actually). Telepatic/verbal does not matter. Much better if she is not aware. They could feel something is strange but do not know what it is.

3- If you could make a minigame where the player feels some achievement by clearing it, it would be nice. But not mandatory. Gradual progression. About being consistent or not I'm not sure which I would prefer.

4- harem (meaning many women to control)

5- my preference would be for a 18 yo normal boy, maybe a bit pervy, with no or little sexual experience, that gets very aroused and enthusiastic just by seeing exposed tits

I'm just gonna split all mind control into two camps to simplify my explanation, hard mind control and suggestive mind control.

Hard mind control, where a girl obeys your every command like a robot, is just that, extremely robotic. It lacks the emotional part of sex, which is what I'm after. I might be interested in hard mind control if the story does an extremely good job at establishing a relationship with the MC and the girl and showing the audience that it is absolutely impossible to get in this girl's pants without mind control. Even then, you still have to give me a compelling reason to get in her pants or else the story seems like it might be thrown out the window for the mind control sex content. At that point though, your story would just have mind control elements and not be all about mind control.

Suggestive mind control, where you use mind control to convince someone to subconsciously carry out your suggestion just seems to me like an all-too-convenient plot device to get something done. It feels like something that words can accomplish much better, granted it's much harder to convince a prude to become a slut using words than using some mind control method. I don't really think there is much you can do to make this form of mind control interesting to me except maybe put some interesting twists in it. Like for example, you can convince someone to do something but like a djinn granting a wish, you have to word it precisely or else there will be a ton of unwarranted side effects as the person struggles to comprehend what exactly you suggested they do. For example, you tell a girl, "You love to fuck, you think about it all the time, you just can't resist fucking everyday," and then she starts dry humping everything and repeatedly screaming "FUCK!" at the top of her lungs.

I think to sum it up, I enjoy sex stories with emotion but mind control removes that emotion in any scene that it's present. However, if you can present the story in a way that gives me those emotions outside of those mind control scenes, then it becomes something I might enjoy.

I'm also not a fan of mind control that just turns the subject into a doll or robot.
I think mind control elements are useful where it's highly implausible that the love interests would ever accede to or agree to the acts that the main character wants, or agree to be part of a harem for that matter. Incest is one obvious scenario, or being (implicitly) much younger than the love interest.
There's also the fact that some games don't feature mind control but do feature "corruption" or "bdsm" themes which heavily overlap with mind control themes, i.e., getting someone to do things they wouldn't normally do.
And one can do mind control that simply brings out or amplifies already existing feelings or transforms, say, maternal love into sexual desire.
It's not everyone's cup of tea, I understand. But I'm also trying to figure out what might make a mind control story more appealing. Dreams of Desire was an extremely popular game.

1: Control. I figure that's universal. Making women do the things you want regardless of their feelings.

2: The method itself is irrelavant to me. So is wether it's gradual or instant, though a balance of the two is nice. I prefer when they're not aware of it and I generally don't care about how they rationalise it. I'm not the type that wants to see another characters thoughts in a game or story.

3: No minigames, ever. Just make it part of the story. The players abilities can slowly progress at the start but once they can completely dominate a woman the process should be quicker with each new conquest.

4: All of them. Except maybe NTR. I want to control woman to do things for and to me. Not a fan of those sandbox games where you whore out your gils to make money, even if you don't see it. The more ridiculous, degrading and extreme things I can control a woman to do, the better.

5: I'll take almost any kind of semi attractive MC, male or female. (Though if it's female she'd be a lesbian) They can be young or middle aged, just as long as they act sensibly. And the mind control should never EVER be used against the MC, that's the opposite of what I'd come to the game for. Though it's fine if the MC can somehow lend their power out and perhaps watch one woman control another.

I think the key to a good Mind Control game is first establishing the main characters and their relationships, taking time to point out that they aren't sexual and letting the player get a feel for who they are. Almost all porn games result in "get sex", there's no point reducing 50 girls to just a single "get sex" button, somewhat like the game "Corruption" does. It's better to focus on a smaller cast of characters and show how the protagonist is truely controlling them, altering their wishes and desires however they want.

If we're going that route why not have the MC slip something into the woman's drink? I don't like it because it is non-consensual. There is no feeling of triumph or of having been seductive. No one is impressed when a rapist brags about getting laid.

College Daze does a much better job at EMC but still has non-consensual options. The MC uses magic to change the behavior of a woman but she still has the ability to say no and does in that game. The women there retain the memories of what happened while they were influenced but never feel as though they were coerced.

Having the EMC simply nudge a person along or awaken/create a feeling is by far my preference. Along with that I prefer the woman to remember what happened and to view it as it being her choice. A choice she may regret or say can't happen again but it was without question a voluntary action she willfully participated in.

Sure, I'll bite. I've been a fan of erotic mind control stories and games for a while, and I'm always happy to encourage somebody who wants to try their hand at making a thing that might in some way appeal to me.

1) I find mind control most interesting/sexiest when its victims don't know or actively deny that it's happening and try to justify their very out-of-character actions. Understood more broadly, I enjoy mind control in porn when it's used to justify unlikely pairings. Nerd+cheerleader, devoted and uptight wife+sleazy dude she just met and feels strangely comfortable with, gross goblin+hot and stacked elf lady, and did anybody say blood relatives? Oh you'd better fucking BELIEVE that blood relatives, my dude. So many blood relatives. Best times when it's blood relatives, especially when the ladies have big-ole titties. Heterosexual blood relatives whenever possible, and inbreeding is the fuckin' cherry on top. What was I saying? Oh. Yeah. Mind control is pointless and dumb, on the other hand, if the people involved are both completely into boning each other and already attracted to each other already but just haven't gotten together yet for some romcom-esque reasons (i.e. communication issues).

2) I guess I answered this with the previous one, but in general I think that porn is better when it has narrative tension. In that sense, a girl instantly turning into robot mode is kinda a turn-off for me. This is not necessarily to say that it has to be slow, but if it's instantaneous there should probably be some element of the story where the person being mind controlled tries to free herself, while also still regularly chugging the dong of somebody she would not normally fellate. The actual mechanism of the mind control itself doesn't interest me as much. I don't really have a problem with it if detailed descriptions/mechanics for mind control are the author's thing, but I think it's best if less than half the game/story's content is mind control itself. But just to say it again: I think it's better when the mind controlled person tries to rationalize their behavior, even if just for a while.

3) As noted above, the mechanism of mind control isn't a dealbreaker for me. There are lots of fun ways to do it, I just don't want the mind control part to be most of the game unless you find a way for the gameplay to be legitimately fun.

4) INCEST. SO MUCH INCEST! Beyond that, I like innocent (stacked!) ladies getting corrupted and banging people they initially found unattractive, virtuous (stacked!) fantasy ladies consensually (after mind control) banging humanoid monsters (goblins are a good start, but there are a bunch), superladies consensually (after mind control) swallowing supervillain dong and having their evil babies, stuff like that. Bonus points if after the fact they are just super duper happy about it and definitely were not in the beginning.

5) Only heterosexual men (or heterosexual male creatures, or heterosexual male teens) mind controlling women, please.

One concept I had for "subtle" mind control was something like "conversational hypnosis/NLP/speed seduction", the kind of dubious techniques you see promoted on pickup artists sites, only perhaps actually legit in a game universe. Maybe combined with some kind of subliminally encoded background music, employed during tutoring or while engaging women around the household in conversation, it could gradually nudge them towards corruption or sexual acts.

Another concept was a character whose mental powers have two aspects. The first is rampant pheromone emission due to a hyperactive pituitary gland. The second is a kind of low frequency electrical "broadcast" signal sent out by their brain. The pheromones make subjects more susceptible to the signals. Perhaps eventually the signals could be sent through the phone or radio waves or tv signals...

Too vague honestly. Really depends on the type of EMC.

Again, easier for me to say what I don't like. I don't like "unwilling" or "accidental" mind controllers or harem masters, where the MC doesn't want their power, is uncomfortable with their power, or got their power purely by accident (the worst).

I prefer MD-MF but I like FD-FF as well.

Not sure how to put it in words very well, but I guess it feels like cheating? Courting someone or breaking them down into slavery takes work and effort but with mind control you have a 100% obedient doll just like that. The feeling of satisfaction gained from peeling off the target's barriers one after the other is gone, so to speak.

Nothing. There's nothing you can do to make mind control appealing to me.

Same. There's surely one since there's people who like that, but personally I don't see the interest to have sex with a doll.
Even in a maledom scenario, the full compliance of the girl remove, at least for me, all the interest in being dominant. This because to effectively dominate her, she have to rebel against your desire, or at least be reluctant, what don't happen when she's brainwashed to blindly follow every single command.

What place mind control as an helper for corruption game. It's not used to brainwash her mind, but to make her open consciously and, more or less willingly, to new sexual acts.
I found this approach way more interesting and enjoyable. Even when it's cheaply done, it let the MC looks more involved in the process. The girl end being a sex doll because the MC did the right move, not because he did them long enough ; this while, despite being now a sex doll, the girl do it because she want it, not because she don't know anymore other way to act.
This being opposed to the pure brainwashing form of mind control, where too often the MC appear like being just a tool of his power ; what is even more obvious when the said power come from an external entity (the usual succubus by example).

For me, it's just a lazy move from the author.
Anyone can corrupt a girl. In a way, we all did it, especially in our youth, when the first dick the girl put in her mouth, or in her ass, was ours. But she had a reason to accept, and generally it's because she loved us enough to want to please us by trying. Turning an innocent and pure girl into a crazy horny sex addict isn't really different ; it just need more love and the girl effectively liking it.

Compared to normal porn, I like the fantasy element you can do in games. It's easy to get control in the form of "you owe me rent" and watch to actors go at it in mainstream porn. Games let you explore more crazy stuff like mind control while it remaining believable.

I remember a game is when you control the woman, you walked into a room to start a quest, but there's no dialog or anything. You immediately walk out to infer that "time has passed" and are all slutted up. You later on discover what actually happened and play through it, which I thought was super interesting and unique.

3rd, how do you want the mechanics to work in game?

Doesn't matter to me, you can do anything with the right story and gameplay.

4th, what kind of scenarios, tags and fetishes do you like to see in mind control games?

You can mix this with a lot of stuff. I think sci fi works really well (just as well as fantasy mind control via magic), since you can explain it with some sort of new technology. Modern day mind control is a bit unbelievable (usually from hypnotism or a phone app).

5th, does it matter who is doing the control? what kind of MC do you want as the controller?

Anything is fine with the right story. I imagine it's harder to have the MC do the mind controlling if you also control the MC, since you could theoretically make them do anything and it's harder to cover all cases.

I used to be really into mind control games. For me, It's the power fantasy aspect. Mind Control is a unique aspect of male dom and corruption that other situations just lack. It should have a heavier focus on mental domination and manipulation rather than a physical one. This is the leading cause as to why I find mind control games to be less interesting now. They tend to brush past the psychological aspect of mind control and just push forward. They start slow, then quickly pick up speed skipping all the interesting bits.

I prefer a more subtle approach rather than brute force. As such the method should be along the lines of subtly manipulating the individual. Such as maybe altering their dreams, or implanting random thoughts into their heads. This would make them act on instinct, not really understanding why they suddenly have these dreams or thoughts. Due to the fact they think about why, they will naturally begin to experience the thoughts or dreams without the MCs intervention, slowly changing their actions in the process.

While I do prefer games to have any sense of gameplay, even if it's mindlessly clicking around rooms or long grinds. Despite this, I don't really care what kind of gameplay you create for a mind control game, I just want there to be gameplay. Perhaps mind control is just a side gig, or a means to an end while the gameplay itself is related to the main goal. Perhaps you're controlling your victims because you need their protection, or some sort of management game where after their under your control you give them jobs or something.

It is cliché, but I want incest, harems, male dom, slave and so on. The truth is that I can name more genres/kinks that I don't want and struggle to name those I do want. I don't want to see NTR, lesbians, yaoi (traps and futa is fine), prostitution, massive tits and asses, fem dom, feet, and more. I would really like to see more petplay in games in general. Perhaps in a mind control game where you start to make the target act more like a pet. Walks, collar wearing, trick training, eating from dog bowls, etc.

I really want to see something different from the MC with some classic flair. Things such as being a young man is still nice. Yet the pervy and stupid MC really needs to vanish. "OMG LOOK BOOKIES OMG" and peeping tropes need to die. You can make a perverted character without being an incompetent, creepy weasel. In addition, completely stupid MCs need to go away. You can explain things to the reader without jeopardizing the main characters' personality.
