Am I an unlucky noob or is this game hard as fuck? I even save scum a bit and still get fucked by the game. Did anyone here complete it?

Ya the game can have a very unfavorable run if RNG with exploring does not provide you with balance food and water supplies. As a result a player's runcan go badly due to the RNG nature of obtaining food and water supply. A lot of my own runs failed due to badRNG with getting water and food supplies.
I think they should add a unlimited food and water supply mode just for players who want to focus on unlocking the H contents.

Once you completed Grocery Store, you can keep coming back there for easy food and water
Anybody know where the save files are? I see that they used to be in a SaveGames file, but I'm not finding it

This is where my SaveGames file is C:\Users\DELL\AppData\Local\sixtyninedays\Saved\SaveGames
do I need to do anything specific to unlock the infessed square? I never found it to progress the story with the bikers even though I played more than 100 days spamming explore on everyone most of the time unless I was progressing other expeditions or needed to target specific materials

I believe you just have to keep spamming explore. I got infested square pretty early in my run.
is there a point to sending multiple people to one expdition? doesn't look like they're together since it look like the item are done separately for each character
also the green girl keep disappearing after exploring, what's that about? after a day she still hasn't return

I think that's the case, just confusing since there's no notification or anything.
also, I spent 5 hours and haven't found the katana yet, is this bugged? I"m spamming explore everyday

I mean if you put assign them left to right and you know which items to send them with you can do the expedition on one go, though I don't believe there's any other benefit to sending multiple
The game is SO CLOSE to being good
But man, the RNG can and will destroy a run
A couple of bad explore where you get nothing + they injure one of the 3 characters ends in a spiral of burnt resources
And if one of the 3 characters dies, the action economy is fucked
Also, getting the objects needed to advance areas, again full RNG, I've had 3 places where Ineeded 1 item, butcouldnt get them due to bad luck

You are supposed to play around moon phase - explore difficulty scales with moon size.
So explore when moon is small, do other things when moon is big.
And don't do late-game expeditions such as Infected Square early on.
