Much appreciated. I was able to decipher from the guide that there is in fact an Ushio route. I had just missed a single choice that was of seemingly no consequence (funnily enough, it was the first choice in the game). That was enough to lock me out of a vital choice in chapter 2 needed to obtain the proper ending.

Are the group sex scenes avoidable?

As far as I'm aware, there aren't any in this game. I've seen some tags on VNDB that imply there are some somewhere in the series for a couple of side characters, but that's probably in the last entry. I believe there's only two heroines in the third game, so the group scenes were probably a bonus to make up for that.

I'm going to have to replay the first game to remember what happened, by the time the third game releases I'll probably have to play both the first and second game again. I'll leave this bookmarked and be hopeful it releases sooner rather than later.

The game comes with a helpful recap you can look at from the title screen, so it's not absolutely necessary to replay the first game to refresh your memory. Having said that, I can respect wanting to replay the first game anyways so the whole experience is fresh in your mind.

As far as I'm aware, there aren't any in this game. I've seen some tags on VNDB that imply there are some somewhere in the series for a couple of side characters, but that's probably in the last entry. i guess from the japanese guide that there are 4 endings. normal ending (no route) , principal ending, ushio ending and the adelheid one. I only got the first 3 so far guess I am missing a critical choice for the adelheid one, but at least now I know that this ending should exist thanks to the guide so thats something

I couldn't even understand what I was looking at on that guide... I've only managed to get 1 scene so I am just awful at making correct choices... I have gotten game overs a lot though.

No problem! It was actually kinda fun running through the game trying to figure out what triggered what.

I had a hell of a time figuring out what was necessary for Adelheid's route. After a couple dozen runs (not hyperbole), I realized that having a high enough affection with Ushio actually locks you out of her route. This applies to Fuhito as well, but my runs with Adelheid allowed me to realize that on the first failed attempt.
