Hello all,

I am a currently working on a corruption game centered around an adult woman named Natalia [may be changed] This game is heavily inspired from the following title: Downfall
While my game can never match the quality of the character and story of that game, I am trying to make something about what I have in mind for a corruption game.
As for the MC, she is going through a dark phase in her life and this is where the game begins. She was at a her prime in her career but now has been forced to settle with something she never had to before. As for her art, these are the test renders I have in mind for her:

Also a talk on corruption mechanics:

I am looking at the corruption mechanic on a more psychological standpoint so I have charted out a DESPERATION mechanic for my game and here is how it works -

According to a certain event in her life, my MC has undergone a huge negative change in her life and is looking for a desperate solution to her problems. However her morale actively rejects some things that she finds shameful or negative to do. There are two ways to play the game.

1. If the player plays the game with minimal open world exploration, the player experiences the standard corruption route for the MC. (avoidable ofcourse)
2. If the player playes the game with good open world exploration, the player will experience a more DESPERATE corruption mode. (unavoidable at a certain point but workaround routes for those extra quests will be done.)

How desperation works?

During the early chapter of the game, the MC accumulates DESPERATION points each day. (These points reset everyday)
The MC gains one point of desperation via a random open world/main story event. These events might range from a simple conversation among different NPCs in the world or via direct player interations with the NPC. (e.g: my MC is facing a financial problem in her life [I know quite generic but still it works sometimes], if the MC hears a conversation of NPCs talking something about money, payments, debt etc, her psyche will be disturbed and she will be reminded of the URGENCY of her problem. This urgency gives one point.) Reaching a certain desperation point cap in a day might unlock certain desperation quests/events wherein the MC does something that she normally does not do. This might open up a new path for corruption.

Anyways, this mechanic I am still testing, not sure how it sounds for now. Anyhow, if you have any suggestions or scenarios in mind please PM me.

Thanks!

P.S: If you have any suggestions on the MC model, I am open to hear them!

You have a Vision and that's great. You should create a prototype with a few ingame days of content and see how you feel about it and maybe get some feedback. It sounds intresting and i am looking forward to give it a try one day.

I like the direction your game is headed. The desperation mechanic sounds promising indeed.

Are the desperation points accumulated via random world events? Will there be an option to reduce the amount of desperation points accumulated if people want to go down the vanilla/non-corruption route? Assuming there will even be a vanilla route in your game, or if it will just be pure corruption instead.

Also, what kind of characters will the FMC be corrupted by? Are we expecting any older/boss character archetype perhaps? Will there be a plethora of character routes to choose from?

Your FMC looks good so far. Test renders look promising. Have you tried experimenting with different hairstyles? I like the one she currently has, but curious to see how she looks with different hairstyle options.

I'm still trying to fully understand the mechanics behind corruption points, but the game’s concept seems very promising!

Similar to "Downfall," there have been various games that lead the protagonist to explore their sexuality in unconventional ways, including older men, "shota" content, and exhibitionism. I recommend checking out The Iris Indigo by BrokeGuy118 or the classic Project Myriam; I’m sure their narratives could inspire you in creating your content!

I'm definitely interested. The desperation mechanic definitely sounds excellent.

I would imagine that the more times MC gives into her desperation the more her morality degrades and the easier it is to get her desperate enough to do lewd actions?

The "desesperation" mechanic sounds quite novel. Clever, there.
But the visual aspect of the protagonist gives me little incentive to give the game a chance, it's too "normal" for me.
I suggest you check out Milfylicious. I'm not saying you go to that extreme, but those Beautiful women arouse passions.

Look at what games are coming out now, maybe one game out of ten has normal looking women, much more often games with monstrous women like in game from your example. If a game came out with a woman like the one in the preview here it would be refreshing.

Why do you think it's 9 out of 10? because it is what is sold.

If you want to make a declaration of principles with a game "I'm going against the general culture, against the mainstream", it's OK, but don't expect big sales, except for the small group that doesn't like big busts and huge butts.

Haven't you seen the controversy of Concord versus Stellar Blade, and how the addition of 2B in Stellar Blade is generating erections in advance? Character design is the first thing you see in a game, and unfortunately big tits sell more.
Then you convince with interesting mechanics.

The milfilicious guy started development a few years ago on Patreon, did well enough to quit his job and dedicate himself fully to the game, and now the game is going to Steam. Do you think that's because it sells bad?

This is confusing to me. "Accumulates" to me implies the opposite of resetting.

Is desperation a positive (from the character's, not the player's, point of view) enabling her to do what she needs to do to overcome her problems, or a negative (from the character's point of view) leading her to making bad decisions?
