kudos to you for the new release, HighbornTiger;Yeah, the last release that hasn't been leaked yet was made public today
Was just genuinely curious as to the voodoo that took place here... But your points do make sense.Disco-Inferno
Because I'm awesome!
But realistically speaking, it's only two reviews. Not a big sample size. The game has less than 100k views and with that it is one of the least viewed games on this site. Usually a single release can get you over that number. Basically, there hasn't been anyone that cared enough to leave a negative review. Also, the banner and first promo image tell you exactly what kind of game it is and what you can expect. Nobody clicks or downloads the game and doesn't expect to solve puzzles to unlock spicy scenes. You don't download it and be disappointed, so there is no need to vent your frustration by giving a 1-star review.
All this is to say that you could be the first to do it. On Steam, there are 2 positive and 4 negative reviews. If you're wondering, I don't have 5 stars because the game is so awesome. 90% of the feedback that reaches me is from people who don't see any sense in doing puzzles to view nudes.
Well if it helps I love your work. Can't get enough of it and would definitely download this but unfortunately no android port. But would still support you due to your incredible work you do.Disco-Inferno

Just finished Foreign World 5.5 and can't wait to see some of this group content when it hits that game. It's not clear how much of the FF stuff is voluntary or just a result of their situation. Will that be clarified in Foreign world story at some point?View attachment 2199529
Overview:
"A Familiar World" gives the usual jigsaw puzzle genre a different spin. Not only does it feature good-looking models in exciting environments and situations, but it also offers a story element that you unlock by completing puzzles.
The game plays in and around a castle in a post-apocalyptic world. A long and brutal war left only a few strong men alive. Each settled down in their own part of the world. Those men quickly became the center point of small functioning societies comprised of the remaining females. "A Familiar World" tells the story of nine women, how they found each other, and how they eventually managed to flee their cruel reality.
I am really enjoying AFoW, so I clicked over here to check out some of the reported character backstories. Didn't know it was a puzzle game, but I DL-ed and gave it a try with one puzzle at least. But puzzles are really not my thing - visual ones in particular as my eyesight is not as sharp as it once was. Reading your post that there is not really as much backstory as you would have liked makes me even less interested in squinting at minor details in mostly featureless squares for hours. As good as the main game is, it doesn't sound like the proverbial juice is worth the proverbial squeeze with this one (for me). Cool side project for players who are into puzzles, at least. This is a companion piece to the dev's main game (A Foreign World) that serves as a sort of prequel that shows various moments of the girls' lives in their original world before they traveled to our world.
It boasts the same art quality as the main game, so the design of the characters is very good, and it is clear that a lot of effort went into the renders. They are far better than the average game here.
Another aspect in which this game differs in a major way from the average game here is that it is a Jigsaw Puzzle game, with each couple Jigsaw puzzles you solve rewarding you with a short scene. You can choose 5 different difficulties, ranging from easy to pretty much impossible. Thankfully the rewards are the same no matter what difficulty you use. Personally, I found Normal to be the best one.
Unlike others, I didn't have an issue with the game being primarily a jigsaw puzzle game that rewards you with scenes. I think it is a cool idea, especially with the various difficulties available to suit all players. My issue though was with the scenes themselves, as I felt that they were both too short and too light in substance. I was interested in really delving into the girls' original world, learning things that weren't mentioned in the main game (especially about the girls' histories, as well as the various men in the world), seeing how normal people there conduct their life, etc. Yet most of the scenes didn't provide much substance at all. I don't think we even see a single ability used that didn't belong to one of the main girls. Even the H scenes felt very light.
Overall, this is a fun companion piece to the main game, but I think it could have been so much more. I recommend it to the main game's fans only.
PS: If anyone is interested in checking both games out, please start with A Foreign World first. This may be a prequel, but knowledge of the main game is necessary, both to understand the events and to give a damn about them.
