Like many things, it comes down to interpretation, and since he's the dev, his is what counts. Making personal insults doesn't change that. My opinion.
Not sure what inconsistent about a girl using a dildo being a virgin? Girls lose their hymen horseback riding or in gymnastics. Being a virgin means you havn't had sex not that you have a hymen.

Umm... how does that make a character a Mary Sue? Do you even know what that term means? So many people throw that term out without even knowing the definition. Also, again with the hymen? Women can lose their hymen in ways other than sexual penetration. You should have paid more attention in sex ed.
Whoa!... for some reason I stopped receiving notifications for this thread again, so I thought the conversation had died about four pages back. Thanks MaxTheDark for the well thought out criticisms, and for everyone else who like the game enough to defend my crappy writing. Some good points were made, and I don't mind hearing players complain about what in the game drives them crazy. I've actually changed quite a few things in the game due to players criticisms that I thought were really valid, so nobody needs to worry about offending me, I mean, as long as you're not just being a total dick. Yeah, I acknowledge that I'm not a great writer, or developer. I just started making this game as a hobby because I love adult games, and I thought it would be something I'd enjoy. I actually really enjoy it, and I feel really lucky that others do to, because I know there are some incredible developers out there that leave me in awe at the amazing content they put out, and I just feel lucky that anyone gives my game any attention. I'm just enjoying the learning process. I'm getting better at my renders, at animating, at coding, I'm not so sure about my writing though. The game has improved a lot from what it was because of other's ideas and suggestions.
So when is the next update going to be done? The good news is that the renders are done, and the writing is going forward at a respectable pace again. I had a lot of chaos in my life recently, but that is starting to calm down and I'm getting more time to work on the game again. So, I'd say the update is at about 80%, and as long as things keep getting better, or at least don't get worse, that last 20% should go pretty fast. I'm sorry I can't put that in terms of "time till completion", but I've found that's a dangerous game. I mean I honestly thought I'd have this update out before the end of 2021. Se la vie, I guess. I do give this game all the time I possibly can. Not just because I feel a responsibility to the game's supporters, but also because it's my hobby, and I enjoy working on this crazy mess.
Anyways, I love to hear from you all on how you're liking the game. So, keep the love coming, keep the criticism coming, and I'll do my best to read it all and respond when I can. And, just thank you all for taking the time to play AFV!

And one final word on the writing, it just feel like The Rise of Skywalker: things happen not because they logically should, but because the writer wants them to happen. But again, your art is good enough to consider it worth it

Just to highlight my lack of writing experience, I had never heard the term "Mary Sue" before. I looked it up, and had a pretty good laugh at the referenced star trek story where the term was coined. So, thanks for helping me get educated about that particular term. And, you're right. The MC is a bit of a Mary Sue, but I've got to argue that he's not completely. I did bake some consequences into the game for making the wrong/right choice (depending on your preferences). All of the consequences in the game result in NTR scenarios, and while they aren't fleshed out very far yet, they will be developed more in the future. While most of the choices are obvious, I did try to have a few choices in the game not be too obvious as to what the right choice is, just to try and bring a hair of realism into the game. But for sure, if you make all the right choices, the MC's journey to this point makes him kind of a Mary Sue, but I don't think that will continue in the future as the MC starts making moves to get out from under the Mafia.
