The average user of this forum are NEETs with no real problems and they believe that others are like that too. Otherwise I don't understand how they can't understand that people have problems and that we all have periods of time where we have a very bad time.

And Will, whatever problems you are having in your life you have my support and if at any time the development of the game becomes too much for you or something , you should take a break and some time for yourself. Nothing is more important than your mental health.

If most people here are really NEETs I'd say they have all the problems lol. That being said you never know what people are going through.
Everyday we are surrounded by people living through tragedy while we are blissfully unaware.

Yes in every update, he is losing credibility each time.



One thing is having life and problems and another is ALWAYS problems, im expecting: "My dog ate the homework" excuse for the next update. And if its true that real life is interfering with the game and making you look like a person that cant be trusted in front of your followers, would be better to pause it or abandon it instead of disapoint people expectations. If you are too busy dont embark in such a project.

I like him, he seems a good guy, and i like the game, but its been many times of broken promises. Its normal that people doubts about him. We are at at moth of delay, supposing it would come at mid August. Its very very weird that he tells everytime that the update is sooooooooooooo close, but he is 1 month behind and cannot close it.

That developer is not your employee, he owes you absolutely nothing. You are not forced to pay him, you can only support him. That support is voluntary, not mandatory, which means that he can do it whenever he wants and is not bound by anything to anyone. So finally understand and stop crying, that's what children do

It's that instant gratification culture we live in nowadays. People have no patience. Meanwhile this is a website hosting probably 100s of AVNs and quite a few are pretty good.
There is plenty of entertainment to hold ya over.

Well, good ones would really be a personal thing different from one man to the next
But you get my meaning I'm sure, if you've been around for years, the picking is very slim on the new games these days

I feel ya. I read stuff in phases. I spend a few weeks really just reading and then spend weeks doing other things. Probably helps me with the waiting for updates.

As much as I enjoy game development, this part of it is a fucking slog to get through. Right now there are almost 27,000 lines of code for the 0.08 update alone, and over 102,000 lines just in the scripts that I'm having to go through looking for these instances where I need to adjust the dialogue for this new event. Unfortunately how long this is taking kind of took me by surprise.

Just a question.
I haven't looked at all the code in detail, but I see for example that the script for version 0.08 is more than 10k lines.
Why not just have a master script managing the sandbox part and other scripts for each event classified by characters?
I am absolutely not a professional in porn games but this type of architecture would seem much simpler to manage and find bugs.
Or is there something I don't notice?

If you look at all the .rpy files you will see there is a fair amount of organization. There is a master script that get's added to every update that is organized by location and time of day. It is the main hub so to speak that directs which event from which update gets triggered by walking in to any location at each time of day. Each update gets it's own rpy file with events that are exclusively from that update. 0.08 is a little different and much much longer because there will be four different iterations of this update. The coming update will actually be the final iteration of 0.08 and the following one will be 0.09 and will get a new rpy file. Being the first game I've ever coded, I'm a little bit proud of the way it's structured since I've had much more experienced coders praise the way I've organized it.
