Ren'Py - Completed - A Few Days [Final Bugfixed] [Mickydoo]

This review is based upon Chapter 1-7

First of all, the audience of this game is specific as this game isn't one of your daily sex game, instead its a mystery novel, where you are the detective but with sex scenes

Story is going good and sub plots are not boring at all. However a little more refinement will be awesome but nevertheless it tells it tale nicely

Coming on mechanism, this is where certain improvement is required. As a reference, Defending Lydia or Depraved Awakening of same genre, the story progresses more on novel path rather than choice based. Hence if in future if scope arises, do try to furcate and build upon those choices

Sex scenes are minimal, not too many, but enough to keep you intrigued especially some of the scenes having that gratification attached to it

All in all, loved the game, has few flaws, but definitely a good recommendation . Good Luck Devs.

I didn't play this game much. Maybe I would, but alas, it advertised "Hustle Town", so I tried that first. And it was full of absurdity; some mess of disconnected, uncalled for scenes. I guess there were attempts for humor, but rarely funny.

So I deleted "Hustle Town" and started this game, already a bit irritated. And here it is again, the humor of absurdity. Plus, some faces seem to me kinda ugly, or even revolting. For instance, the girl here looks like a spider who became a victim of a necromancer.

Later I might give it another try, but for now it does look mostly unattractive to me.

By far one of the best and most engaging on the site. I need to know what happened to Vanessa??! Where is she?? Is she safe?? And stop teasing me with Charlie!!! Overall this is my favorite game right now, the characters are beautiful, they look very realistic.

I waver on this game the same way I wavered on Hustle Town. I don't not like the game, but I don't think about the game between releases. There are a lot of good things about this game, but they are overshadowed by what I feel is poor execution.

The story is interesting in theory. You're a P.I. that comes to town on "vacation" but end up stumbling into a huge mystery. I love the synopsis. However, this is where execution comes into play. So much of the story is click on the lit up location tile in the navigation bar, go have a brief conversation with one person, then go to the next. The whole plot is built around clicking the next place. This is the kind of game where real sandbox would make so much more sense instead of the hand holding sandbox-on-rails that this is.

The models are nice, but it's a bit like whoville discovered porn. The characters all look kind of Dr. Seuss inspired. There is very very very littler variation in the female models. They all feel like the same bae model with slight tweaks like hair or skin tone. They are cute, but when it comes to remembering characters, and they are referred to a lot in conversation, I can't remember who is who. The MC is much better in this game than the one in Hustle Town, he isn't as dopey and aloof. I like the visuals, but there needs to be more variation in the female models, even some of the males look closer than I would like.

The writing is quippy and mostly mistake free. Interactions between characters seems realistic and personality driven rather than each character fitting into a tight architype like other games seem to do. The story is well enough but it's light on impactful choices.

Overall, I like this game. But it just doesn't leave a lasting impression. I find myself mindlessly clicking through sometimes. Play it if you are really looking for a game, but don't expect to be blown away.

The game is a mess.
These models look like the same,and that's very bad for me.
Even the renders look worse than the last game.

Maybe the game is just not for me,and I will not try it any more.

This game is underrated and it's unfortunate more people haven't found it. The mechanics are different in a good way, giving you choice in the order you go about your detective work each day, without any repetitive grinding. Choices in dialogue have consequences and things are missed if you don't ask the right questions and pay attention to the details around you. This isn't one you will want to flip through looking for the good scenes, this is one you play though attentively. The lone negative review mentions some things that may have been true early on, but no longer seem to apply. It's not perfect in execution, but you are missing out if you don't give it a try.

Writing and story is nice with beautiful writing.

Dev doesn't stop creating eventhough he gets limited support and the dev is friendly.

A hidden gem at the F95

Really like the writing, a good balance of visuals and prose.
Some really funny set pieces as well.

If you need a break from the avalanche of "high school/college boy fucks mom" stuff, you will appreciate A few Days ' fresh take.

One of my new favorites. Many of us download 30-something games knowing most likely that they'll be only 1 that feels fresh out of the bunch. This is that one. I have zero idea what game that 2-star rating was playing, b/c it wasn't this one.
Good graphics. Just the right combination of VN dialogue driven and minor amounts of "open world". (No stupid incest or incest patch.) And the lewd scenes don't come off as forced, or corny, or incel wetdream.
Keep up the good work, don't drop the p.i. angle, and thanks for it.

I'm giving this barely there intro version 5 stars because I love MickyDoo's models and have faith in what will come based on Hustle Town. That said, this is a v1 and I have no doubt there's a lot to come.

The story looked promising based on the description and the renders also looked nice so I've decided to check this game out despite it's very early stage.

I simply couldn't enjoy it and was clicking through that maybe the issues are caused by the tutorial phase and when that's over I'll get to some better parts, but sadly no.
The game title is A few days, but in this single update already 4 days went by with barely anything happening. You've met some characters but barely exchanged a few words with them.
You met 2 girls at the very beginning of the game, one of them becomes your helper, the other has sex with you after 2 minutes you see her again because reasons...
After barely talking with the other girl for 2 minutes (not a very nice chat by the way) MC decides to pay her rent. WTF? The whole setup is absurd.
The game mechanics are free-roamy... Except you can only do one thing at any point. Why? Maybe this will improve in later versions but at the moment the game mechanics only worsen the already disconnected feeling.

The graphics are ok and the design of the girls is unique. The single sex scene in the game was animated but not very high quality. Rather uninspired. Certainly not enough to motivate me to play a game like this for hours in future versions if everything is left as it is.

What can I say? I like Mickydoo's models--they look like real women who are sexual as all getout. Not only that, he's got an interesting story started up, and he's got a reasonable blend of story, sex, and snark, the essential 3 s's of a good adult game.
