I can't remember, is there away to keep the words but get rid of the text box? The text boxes always gets in the way. I want just the words.
Press H, or go into your preferences and make the textbox invisible. You could also turn off side images there
No, it doesn't. Pressing H makes the textbox invisible. Pressing H again hides the UI (and the text). Pressing H a third time returns things to their original state. If this doesn't work, delete the game and download it again because you must have changed something significant.
Also your textbox settings should look like this if you want the text but not the textbox.
Ah, sorry about that. For some reason did not realize both Hidden and Visible could be unclicked. Thought it was a one or the other thing. Also did not know about the H shortcut.

HighbornTiger I was looking at this scene and wondering what was going on with Tracey's shoulder, when it hit me.
You've left a 'deform' option turned on for the figure. Probably from a vest or sports bra/top that she was wearing at some point. It could well have been from the top she was wearing in the scene previously but it wasn't incredibly tight so I probably wouldn't have even used the deform option anyway.

Sh.... You're right. I already wrote a comment saying I doubt it, but I checked, and these fuckers really added a morph that fucks with the character...
Time to fix that shit. I was already blaming the model creator for leaving such artifacts in a product he is selling
I picked up this game on sale on Steam as part of a 4 game bundle(technically 3 since I already owned one) and I have to say so far it's really good. The writing in particular is excellent, and I have seen some other VNs with really dumb writing.
I was expecting it to be further along than day 12 or something out of 40 but not a major problem, its prequel was in development until early 2024 so it's understandable. There is an achievement called Your Own Worst Enemy that almost nobody has and I don't know what it's about though. I'm kind of assuming it's related to shutting down all romance options but I honestly have no idea. Either way, great stuff, looking forward to future updates.

One thing about the latest update which probably none of you noticed (or maybe some did, idk...) is Esther's choice of clothes. You guys have seen that hoody before. Fiona (the fiance) gave it Megan (the fox girl) that evening when the girls went bowling.
The update talked about the MC playing mentl games with Colby. Being late, pretending to nap, ordering pizza...
Actually Esther did something similar. You might remember that most of the modern clothes the girls have, were provided by the organization. But how can you negotiate as equals if you are relying on the other party for something as basic as clothes? Well maybe you can, but in the end it does paint a picture and Esther didn't like the implication. That why everything she wore to the meeting has either been bought by MC or, in the case of the hoody, was given to the girls by Fiona.
Honestly, I think she looks better in her blue shirt and white trousers (second image).
Well, it's a matter of taste. The outfit she wore in the christmas render from last year (third image) wasn't half bad either.
It's the new year, guys.
I hope you're all doing great. Actually, it'a a bit too early for the new years post. I know it's already the third of january, but there is still a problem. I haven't decided how this year is going to look like. I'm going to finish my degree. That much is a given. And with finishing the degree I mean that I'm basically done. There are still about 5 weeks of effort ahead but I would be shoked if it took me more than that to finish things up.
But besides that, the year is still a mystery. My idea is that I focus on game develoment. At least for half a year. But maybe longer, idk. That's why I said it's still uncertain what the year brings.
I'd like to proudly proclaim that I'll finish A Foreign World this year... It's still 10 updates, so even with the fastest pace imaginable it would be hard to succeed with that goal. Idk, I think I'll use this year to find out how hard I can push myself.
By the way, I ate one of those fortune cookies today. It said that through honesty and humility my status will rise. So honestly, I wrote a bit over 2,000 words for the next update. More about that in the next dev update. Also I'll soon release A Familiar World for free on Steam. I'm still earning ~ 10-20$ a week with it but it's time. If that game had been a horse, I would have long shot it to put it out of its missery.
Now let's end the post here. I heard you should always end on a low note.

Wow...I did not expect this game to be finished in 10 updates. The first 6 cover about 12 days so the last 4 would need to cover 28, going from average of 2 days/update to average of 7 is a massive leap. But I guess going full time on the game for 6 months or more would make a difference. Great game though, can't wait for more.You must be registered to see the links

An update is half an episode. It's about 45 mins long. The game ends with Episode 11
Yeah I meant episodes, not updates. I guess correctly would be to say that so far each update has been an in game day on average and ~2 in game days per episode. Still pretty crazy if 28 in game days happen in another 5 episodes but I won't complain. Game is crazy good so far.

I don't know, The only way I can picture Esther in my head after that update, and she never wore that kind of attire in the game, is in a well adjusted taileur. (A taileur is the name of professional business women's clothing in french. Don't know it in English of the top of my head.) She would wear something else in her private life, but it's just the vibes she gave off. I can't say the same for a lot of other characters.

I don't think this game needs a walkthrough mod. The game has built-in markers for dialogue choices that lead to sex or extra lore and the rest are just common sense easy to understand.
