Ren'Py - A House in the Rift [v0.7.12r3] [Zanith]

One of the best storylines of any game I've played so far on this site. The main love route with the primary interest was very appealing to me. However, there is also the possibility of pursuing multiple relationships.

One of my only gripes would be the lack of obvious consequences to pursuing multiple relationships at the same time.

This is a fantastic game with a wonderful story. It does a really great job of having many different settings and it all feels good. The story telling is excellent AND it is a game! One of the biggest issues for me in adult "games" is that so many of them are just "pick your own adventure" novels.

The team behind this game has done a fantastic job. I'm very excited to see the project when it is done.

One of the best games here. The world and the story is very relatable and the characters are all feeling original and are very different.
The feeling of the place is getting perfectly captured and it feels like you really live with them there. It has many good eastereggs that are perfectly conveyed with the situation.
From my opinion this masterpiece is when done definataly worth a 40€ price tag.

Havent dont one of this in a while but holy shit does this game deserve it. One of the best in the whole platform and so fullfillig.

The story and render are awesome, but what really sets the game apart for me is the characters, since they are so adorable. The progression in the game makes you really care about this characters and the sex content really pays off. This is one of the few games where i actually want more romance focused content or options since the girls are so lovable (Rae is absolutely the best).

If i had to criticize something about the game, it would be that Yona is pretty bland as a character at the time of this review, and that there is not enough content with Caitlin and Lyriel. But dont get me wrong, theres a shit ton of content in this game.

I really wish we get some romance route with the girls since they are the best. Awesome game. Easily deservesas 5 stars.

Highly recommend playing this one. By far one of the most relaxing games I've ever played, the music is super soothing and the story is interesting but fun and mostly light hearted. The girls are all pretty good and the H-scenes are good quality. Really this game is perfect for relaxation for just how soothing everything is and the fact that you can progress at your own pace.

I got into A House in the Rift pretty early on, and it's been super fun to watch it grow and take the shape it has. At time of writing, there are five housemates and all five of them are wonderfully unique. Although it has in recent updates leaned more into grinding then I'd prefer, the animation quality is stellar (definitely the best HS on the site, or at least tied with Ripples)and the writing outside of those is one of the best on the site.

WOW this is one of the best games that I've played on this site. The story is extremely engaging, the animations are perfect, the characters are all extremely very likeable(including the MC IMO) and everything is absolutely 10/10.

The dialogue - oh god, I've lowered my standards way too much on this site to simply give me passable English phrases and not detract from overall gameplay, but this game has superb dialogue, giving character to all of the girls in the game(Especially Rae).

It also solved a pet peeve of mine by NEVER revealing the MC's face, which is honestly incredibly refreshing. I've seen so many good games ruined by an MC who looks like crap and completely takes me out of the game.

The only thing I was ambivalent about was the 5th character. Not going to spoil anything, but I was...eh confused about the choice. Maybe it's somebody's kink, but I really wasn't into that. Still, the other 4 more than makes up for it.

Overall, 10 out of 5. If a game manages to reach this game's level in just one component(story, animation, characters etc), I'd consider it to be an amazing game. Looking forward to future updates.

One of the best sandbox VNs on this site. Good renders, simple and clean UI, and decent storyline. Not many typos from what I've read so far which is always a bonus. It is not overly wordy and there isn't much grind to increase your stats. Instead, your stats improvement/decrease come from interacting with the girls and choosing the right responses/dialogue.

There are only 5 girls you can interact with so far but they each arrive one at a time so you needn't overload yourself with trying to do everything at once. Each girl has their own personality - you have the Amazonian, the shyster, the succubus, the tsundere, and the obedient housewife.

You have to work for the sex scenes and they aren't that abundant to be frank. However they are well done and there will probably be more in the future. So right now I don't think it's really a game for fapping but that can always change.

Therefore, 5/5 stars.

This is without a doubt one of the best games I've seen here so far. Top notch animations with very natural movements (even the water movement was handled properly), the story is quite interesting so far (just a bit short but I assume this will change over time) and the characters are very unique and lovely designed. Really worth a try in my opinion.

The story is interesting, the girls are cute and the animation is great.
My only problem is the lack of advancement with the characters story wise and sexually. I get you need to build up to it but it's still mostly all hand and mouth stuff with the existing characters and a new character has already been added

I liked it! Especially I appreciate the effort on putting more interactive pre-rendered scenes, instead of just fixed camera. Scenes give the SFM/Blender smut feeling with the moving camera, animated facial features, and the girls actions as well.

Rae, Cait and Lyriel are my favourites if I had to choose. Naomi is okay, but latest addition (the ogre girl? idk) is not really my thing. However, everybody has their own thing, so I don't mind of course.

Game itself has virtually infinite amount of potential for expansion, such as different/bigger house, more girls, more events, more powers, different kinks, scenes, etc., but everything has to end, so will this game at some point.

Story is pretty good, honestly, I see myself more like a visual critique, so I wouldn't comment further.

I would actually become a patron if I could afford, hopefully we'll/I'll see this game expanded/updated regularly with consistency. Cheers!

When I first downloaded this game i didn't know what to expect. I personally like harem games, but the plot of this game didn't match what I was searching for at the time. Today I can say it's one of the most masterfully crafted adult game out there. Every character feels alive, and have their own dynamic and personality to them.

The gameplay is easy and the "romance" system is quite basic, but after thefirst few wanks I got into the story quite heavily. Started to care to some extent for the girls in the house. So all in all, came for the porn, stayed for the story and characters. My favorite character is Azaraesha hands down. Her personality and personal story got me hooked quite quickly.

Now for the negative (for me atleast). The latest addition to the "family" is a *SPOILER* shy orc lady. Now I will not kinkshame anyone, but it's not for me. Other than that, the lack of effect of "skills" on the story and interactions with the girls in the house, leaves a bit of bad after taste for me. There is no "special event" tied to for exemple maxing out strength will let you powerfuck Rae or even pin down our wayward pirate captain for a good romp. I really hope that something like that will be implemented in the future. There are other smaller problems here and there, but I think I ramble enough.

To the make of this game, I could only say, incredible job. Sorry I can't make any contributions to your patreon (living in a dirt poor country, lucky to have a flat under my ass), but the moment I get a raise and get some extra you can expect at least a 5$ or 10$ contribution! Thank you for the awsome game.

This is easily one of the best games on f95. Writing is pretty good, funny at times, and realistic enough. The characters look great and the animations are top-notch. One thing I really like about this game is that a lot of the lore is skippable if you're not in the mood to learn about ethers and whatnot.

My only problem with the game is I don't like Naomi very much, the way she talks or her appearance but that's a personal preference thing. I'm sure there are a lot of people that do like her.

Overall, this game is great and I highly recommend it.

Edit: Changed the rating from 5/5 to 4/5. This is still a great game, not sure I would call it one of the best games on this site anymore, partly cause I've played more games now. And playing through it again, it just didn't seem as good as I remembered.

Diverse and extremely well written cast of characters in an interesting setting. Quite a bit of thought out content and fully animated, high quality scenes to go with it.
Keep up the incredible work you absolute legend.

I typically struggle to get into a RenPy game or visual novels in general. This game is excellent and really shows how well this type of game can be made. Highly recommend it. One of my absolute favorites.

I don't usually write reviews, because I rarely find a game I fully immerse myself into. I really don't think it's fair to developers if I review a game after just few hours. This time it's different.

The writing is quality.
The animations are amazing and on point.
Conversations with the girls are fun and quirky.
I was pleasantly surprised how deep the world is in this game. It's not just another harem game, trust me.

Most importantly Rae is best girl please don't argue. This is a must play title.
Oh and it's still updated!

One of the few developers who is still updating on a consistent and rapid schedule. Commendable. Many, many other admirable games just trail off, with fewer and fewer updates. Happy to see this developers buck that trend.

Btw, the game is an inspired piece of work!

Nice game with lovely girls and an interesting story.
The renders and animations are good, the background music is realy relaxing, and not like other, going to be annoying.

would give 5stars but Lyriels "like"language is a big mood killer. She is a medieval Elf not the school bitch, it doesn't suits her. (my opinion)

It would be nice if the MC could use some of the facilitys by him self.(and can be visited random by one of the girls). It's strange to have them but can't use them (only when it's used by a girl).

Awesome Characters and a good Story,

Especially the little Stories like washing dishes with Ly, watching TV with Az or catching Cait secretly reading Henai make it one of the best Games for me.

This game is exactly what is should be, the way you can track events is integrated well, the animation and art is top notch, and the game itself is just fun. I would highly recommend this game. I didn't run into any major bugs and I look forward to future updates. Great job!
