I do not understand the blue recommended choices. They always seem to be absolute shit. Occasionally the outcome is ok-ish, but most often they either cause you to act like a mute asshole, or lead to losing intimacy/lewd points. Why would the dev seem to actively try to sabotage you?

I haven't played in a few updates but has the story advanced at all? Feels like the plot has ground to a halt for what feels like maybe 2-3 years?

only problem i have with Naomi is shes too dom for me while rae, ly, and cait all take submissive roles.
Same, I'm too dom to like Naomi. I appreciate her being there for subby kings though, you lads live your best lives.

I just wish her story didn't consist of like 80% being a massive cuntzilla towards either Cait or her crew. I'm glad she's shown some recent turnaround but to be honest it lingered too long and I kinda hate her for it. It's going to take a while for me to appreciate her again, especially since the dev updates at the same speed glaciers move boulders downhill.

Honestly my biggest issue with the game is that after all this time, all the girl's storylines are still soooo separate. It makes them all feel distant from each other when I'd love to see everyone getting along and bonding. Sure there's a little bit here and there but like...imagine bringing Rae the puzzle queen and Blair the techie along on the heist, or Naomi as the muscle to fight that flower. We could have gotten a ton of interaction between so many different characters and way more interesting "fish out of water" moments.

I know I'm just wishlisting here, but I just feel like I need some cohesion instead of like, 20 little unrelated vignettes.

Honestly I'd say the biggest problem storywise is the fact you can't straight up tell anyone that they are wrong. That's literally my problem with Cait story right now. (Haven't finished the current update or the last, i saw the maze and said fuck that shit.) But the way it's going, what she's doing and how she is doing it is literally leading to her getting all her friends expelled from the school and she never once will thought about it and the mc never once get to put that out for her. She's is dragging others into a life ruining situational not seeming to care until after it happens possibly.

Truthfully I'm starting to check out of the game. Its all filler at this point. The last thing I remember being connected to the main story was the investigation into the strings breaking and that was what? 2023?

Not to mention that a couple of characters are falling way behind the others in terms of story and events. We're one the second page in the gallery for Cait and Lyriel, but Yona and Blair have just three events each.

Instead we're getting piecemeal updates of...slightly inconveniencing the girls when they're doing something at different times of the day.

This game has fallen and it's fallen hard.

They re separate because they are all from separate worlds, they aren't just from different countries or continents with Rae being the only one to have actually traveled between world before being trapped in the rift so why would they have any interaction with each other's world when the only binding factor that even connects them is thr MC saving their lives?

Oh yeah, that's always been Cait's big problem. She leaps in without thinking and without consulting someone. And it always backfires. Once is an accident, twice becomes a lesson to learn quickly but it's happened to Cait so many times, I'm starting to wonder if she's educationally impaired.

I mean yeah, at the start. But the story we're in right now is all about them learning to interact with each other in this ship in a bottle that is The House. I'm just saying I want to see more story beats of them interacting with each others' worlds since they're all becoming friends and everyone cares about each other.

I think this is mainly a sandbox issue. Since you don't have to follow one girl's storyline as deeply as another one's, it is difficult to find a point where they've "grown together" in terms of each other's storyline. That doesn't make the point of "separated stories" invalid, but unless you tie everything closer together, forcing the players hand in whom to pursue and when, "combinations" of characters will always be an issue.

I disagree. Not on the difficulty part, but on the not possible part. You can have a combined stories that affect more than one character and still have a sandbox based game. The drawback is that you need a ton of check to ensure that it happens when it should and not too early (eg. a Azraesha & Yona event make no sense if it can happen before Yona is even introduce into the game) or even too late.

Eventually he's going to have to give Yona some attention -- when was her last update? Seems like it's been a year. I suspect he feels he's painted himself into a corner with her and has no idea where to go with her story.

Yea them learning to interact with each other anf becoming friends doesn't require them going to or interacting with the world's the girls from. Heck they barely interact with the world the MC is from outside of the house. Two haven't even been there yet while one basically gots her own lone event to go there.

Let me ask you, you have friends that are from different places right? Have you gone all the way to their continent/country/state/province/city/town/region/county/district just because you are friends with them? I know i haven't nor has mine visiting my own. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything but at the pace the games already going I'd rather the interactions stay with the girls inside the house until they can finally leave.... obviously there are always exceptions but still.

Yeah, it may not even take all that many checks. You could pretty easily divide each girl's story into chunks and have flags raised at each chunk, then check those for "togetherness" type events later. Just a binary "Has the player done Blair's Story to Chunk B? If so, Blair gets involved."

And depending on how you do it you needn't worry about that many extra scenes needing to be made (this is why all-CG visual novels suck, these sorts of things are much easier to implement easily with sprites and dialogue boxes as opposed to full on renders) because you can always gate Cait chunk C behind Blair chunk B or whatever to ensure no given chunk has more than 2-3 differences per girl, no matter where you're at.

Yeah... considering how easy it is to visit other worlds compared to visiting another country in real life... I'm guessing you didn't really think this through, huh? It's more like you all live on the same street and yet have never visited each other's houses.
