Is your browser deleting local storage?
Short answer: Yes.
1. It is a shared computer. I generally run Guest browser sessions in incognito/private mode, where no local data is saved after closing.
Not to make your life (more?) miserable, but
2. Browsers with
any privacy settings enabled will offer to delete session data.
3. System or disk cleanup software will often clear this stuff by default, unless white-listed.
So for a game requiring multiple browser sessions, exportable saves, or clear instructions (small words, short sentences, hand-holding) for
each browser (accounting for various utility programs installed on the OS) will be demanded by torch-and-pitchfork-wielding users.
I'm trying to get ahead of this. (I played 70+ game days yesterday; today I start on day 1.)
If exportable saves is not in the development plans, then finding a workaround will reduce the size of the mob.
Maybe this specific-use profile (with white-listing in other places) will work for some of us. Maybe there is a browser extension somewhere that exports/imports local storage. Maybe this problem has been solved in another HTML game thread.
I'm looking around, asking for input.
